I got Quake 4 today, its pretty damn awesome

according to my research, i prefer Blu-Ray over HDDVD, they both have lots of kinks to work out though and they are both kind of rediculous to begin with, i dont even have HDTV yet and im supposed to be worrying about 1080p and stuff? blahhhhhhh better picture quality is nice, but we are still a LONNNGGG way off from it looking anywhere near "real" and yes im talking about movies, the colors/etc are just never right, i would worry about getting more accurate sound for now, because thats alot more possible anyway

i dunno if i really like either that much to tell you the truth, ive kinda lost interest in handheld gaming :/ there just arent that many games out that interest me anymore so ill go with whatever has better emulation BTW i still havent actually bought a PSP yet, but ive used them alot, my brother has a DS though

hmmm, i have no idea then, its probably just some compatibility error with your hardware in which case your SOL untill an update :/ but im probably wrong because i dont know that much about Ubuntu

try setting your optical drive and HDD to different IDE channels, or both on the same, whatever you arent using now EDIT: Or ATA or whatever you use

i heard theres a demo coming out on the live marketplace soon, do you know if that will be an online demo at all? That game definitley looks awesome, im just really into try before you buy BTW Drake did you add me yet? Im downloading a bunch of crap right now so i dunno if i can accept or anything right now

so its basically twice as powerful as gamecube, thats fine, specs dont make good games, and i still use a 500MHz computer regularly and i do some cool stuff on it, and Genesis has tons of awesome games, and its nowhere near gamecube even I think i want one really badly all the sudden for some reason O_o

my gamertag is Shibathedog There are a lot of games that work fine on 360, and i keep hearing in different places that you cant save with older games, this isnt true, saving works fine, you just cant transfer saves from your old xbox San Andreas also looks really good on Xbox 360, it looks alot like the PC version, much farther sight distance/smoother/etc Some games, Such as Battlefield 2, Burnout Revenge, etc would be awesome on 360, but are deliberatley not backwards compatible so you would buy the 360 version (Tony Hawk's American Wasteland being the only exception ive noticed so far) so far i like my 360, havent had any problems, and i like a good about of the games, the games i am considering/buying are pretty much Amped 3, Condemned, Dead Or Alive 4, FarCry, Full Auto (I know no one likes it but the demo was pretty cool so ill rent it), Gears of War, Fram City Killer looks interesting, and Quake 4 Obviously my PC is too crappy to play the PC versions of any of these so thats pretty much why i got a 360, it was a cheaper upgrade for me. I think Doom 3 should really be backwards compatible though, that would be awesome. But it probably wont be because it was so custom tailored to the xbox hardware.

I have gold because i transferred my account from my xbox to my xbox360 BTW i figured out what the problem was, since this PC shares wireless into my consoles, Peerguardian on here was blocking it, so now that peerguardian is off everything works fine

one other question, is there a way to transfer saves from my xbox to my xbox 360?

yep, got it today, it pwns, nothing has exploded/froze/caught on fire yet dont actually have any 360 games yet though because i was 5 dollars short >_< For some reason i cant download demos/trailers though because i guess the servers are way too overtaxed, i CAN download the live arcade demos though....yayyyyyy smash TV....totally buying that when i get MS points

yeah but i want to be able to play other games than halo 2 yeah when i look in my router its the same thing, some IP, i block it, and then it connects to a different one i guess ill just have to disable ICS whenever im not using the xbox and put a password in my screensaver

yeah i remember i got the PSX for free because one of them was broken off, and the gamestop/eb or wherever my friend where wouldnt trade it in because of it so he gave it to me its not completley broken in half, but its gonna happen eventually, does anyone know if the swap trick with gameshark works on the mini psxs? i woudl like to get one of those

i think i have logging turned off on my router and on peer guardian i can check who hes connecting to (its always back and forth from a single IP) because this computer shares internet to the xbox, and whenever i add that IP to the blocklist, it just connects to a different one!!! grrrr i cant even block like everything that begins with XXX.XXX because they seem to have a few ranges i dont want to break the disc because that would be too obvious, i am just gonna be like i dunno why it doesnt work its probably a problem with live.
