  1. *cough* Eugen Popovici *Cough* HAHA the filter, i didnt even know about that, i said XXL-Enigma without the dash lol
  2. oh yeah ill definitley be getting neither at launch, i can only imagine the problems :/ actually nintendo has been pretty good about that kind of stuff, still not gonna risk it though.
  3. used to be all for the PS3, wanted one so badly, but now i think ill just get a Wii (maybe...might just stick with my 360) and borrow someones PS3 for MGS4 and thats it all the things on PS3 that interest me alot seem to be coming to 360 so theres not really any reason to drop all that cash, cept for MGS4 of course, but then again theres rumors about it not being exclusive. For some reason im not that excited about DMC4/other sony exclusives. the graphics and everything do look pretty amazing though, but it takes more than that to convince me to drop 600 bucks plus tax, i dont make that much money. Wii on the other hand interests me alot because its cheap, there arent alot of games there that look like must haves either (Must have Zelda though ), but its CHEAP, and Nintendo seems to want to focus more on fun rather than technical advances, and that, is how you convince me to spend money. Cheap+Fun=Instant Win. For me anyway.
  4. NOD32 NOD32 NOD32 NOD32 NOD32 NOD32 NOD32 NOD32 NOD32 NOD32 NOD32 NOD32 NOD32 NOD32 NOD32 NOD32 NOD32 that is all but seriously NOD32 is great, works better than Norton, McAffee, and AVG. NOD32 doesnt just look for existing viruses like the others, it actually scans lines of code as they are run so its able to detect things much better. I recovered a pretty F-ed up PC using NOD32 that had some random obscure virus that was downloading less obscure ones.
  5. i dressed up as Johnny Depp from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas...so i win that was really it though, i went to work...and worked
  6. the only point to the PDF format was to protect documents from copying/editing, why everyone uses it so much is beyond me :/ but yeah Foxit reader is good, i forgot about that, i have it on my flash drive as a portable app
  7. ill join tomorrow when my RAM comes in and i can actually turn on my PC >_<
  8. id have to disagree on sony products being really high quality, while it may seem that their quality control is high, its because youve worked there an experienced it, if you where to go work in a panasonic factory or something, you might see that they arent that high. Also, even if their quality control is high (all their products ARE made teh way they are supposed to be made, or at least they have been for me most fo the time) that doesnt make their products good. If youve ever opened up a PS2 you can tell the optical drive is a peice of crap. Sony cuts alot of corners when creating/assembling their products, not NEARLY as much as JVC though...dont even get me started Ive dealth with a lot of electronics all throughout my life, and while i agree sony products DO work the way sony wants them too, the way sony wants them too isnt necessarily good enough (lacks features/doesnt work very well for intended purpose but good enough i guess/etc). ive never had a sony product arrive dead on me or anyone i know ill admit that much. ive also found them to be one of those brands that costs more for no reason, your paying for a name pretty much. Kinda like how NVidia cards seem to cost more than ATi even when the ATi clearly outperforms the card that costs the same. im not even trying to be biased though PS2 is actually one of my favorite consoles, and im playing on a sony TV. (although ive been meaning to get rid of it for awhile to go HD)
  9. ehhh i actually find adobe products to be the best for their purpose......besides acrobat, its not as bad if you get acrobat pro (the pay version, its really just called Acrobat and the free one is Adobe Reader) i dont even really think theres a need for the entire acrobat format though
  10. Your most likely thinking of Burnout, developed by Criterion the only EA games i will buy anymore (i was gonna get the new battlefield, but they dick you over by bundling spyware with it! freakin spyware and adware, wtf)
  11. http://www.joystiq.com/2006/10/24/ea-charg...-godfather-gun/ It amazes me the crap they get away with
  12. Opera is a very nice browser, but i think using Firefox 2+some addons and Thunderbird together ends up being a better solution. i ditched firefox for a real long time for opera, but i think im back to firefox with the new version as i kinda said already
  13. wow, ive put up with sooooo much of sonys bullshit, but now theyve crossed the line, ive just had enough, i wont be buying sony products anymore, flock them, they are worse than EA.
  14. I agree yeah i tried IE7 and BLEEEACCCHH, it crashed like 5 times on me within 20 minutes (could have been the crap computer i was using though)
  15. by the way, i know this is really stupid, but one of the main reasons i like the Audigy 4 is for the remote, are there any really cheap remotes i could just buy and use with any sound card? All it would have to do is work with iTunes i guess, BSPlayer Pro would be nice too.
  16. alright, my dad has the Audigy SE, and its not bad, even if it is really a rebranded Sound Blaster Live! 24-Bit (right now i have the super old Sound Blaster Live!....not 24-bit ) Im just looking to get the best possible stereo playback, because later on im going to be hooking this PC up to my Hi-Fi system which ive spent wayyyyyy too much money on (Its pretty much where all my money goes) i might upgrade this PC to surround sound later, but ill hold off, i did some research on the X-Fi, and unless you get the Pro Super Ultra edition or whatever, theres no point, that 24-bit crystalyzer is bullshit, its just an equalizer basically that puts it in a U curve. Everything else the audigy 4 has (minus some surround sound stuff, which i wouldnt be using for awhile anyway) and i like the remote with the audigy 4 so depending on the size of my next paycheck, either Audigy SE or Audigy 4 Pro
  17. i hadn't tried any of the betas, so this is my first try with Firefox 2, and its goddamn awesome, i still need to tweak it to make it a little faster, but i think the days of juggling between Firefox and Opera are over for me I have the final build btw, it launches officially tomorrow, its availible on their FTP/online directory thingy already When are they releasing a new major version of Thunderbird?
  18. Do i have to separate you two?
  19. im going to be getting these speakers http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16836119101 I dont have room in here for a 5.1/6.1/7.1 setup, nor do i think its necessary (i could go into a huge rant about this but i wont) now im actually considering the Audigy 4 Pro, or the X-Fi XtremeMusic, they both seem to be the same thing specwise (in fact the Audigy 4 Pro seems a little better) but one has all these effects and crystalyzer nonsense, and the other has...less of that http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16829102188 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16829102004 they are both within my price limits, think i should go for the X-Fi? Or is the extra X-Fi stuff really for surround so i wouldnt be using it anyway?
  20. well soon in the mail i will be recieving this mobo http://www.asrock.com/product/775Dual-VSTA.htm I also have a few Sound Blaster Live! cards lying around, one of them has a higher model than the other one (its 4 digits, and the 3rd X is one digit higher with it being XXXX) but they both show up as Sound Blaster Live! Value in programs like AIDA32 i also just recently bought a Sound Blaster Audigy SE for my dads computer (Stupid slimline case wouldnt fit anything else) anyway, question is Is the sound on the mobo im getting better than the Sound Blaster Live!? The Live isnt really that new :/ Should i just go pick up an Audigy 4? (Audigys are the same thing as X-Fi im pretty sure you all know, you just get a firewire instead of a USB 2.0 or something like that)
  21. yeah but the apeva was given bad reviews by some people for stupid reasons noise doesnt bother me and with that one theres even a knob on the back to turn down fan speed, its stable and reliable for me anyway (and a friend of mine has had that same one for a year or 2 and his still works, and he has some crazy super overclocked system, so for the people that say it doesnt last long i dont know what they are talking about or how they blew it)
  22. i would have to say Genesis one of my best friends dad had a genesis, a 32X and a sega CD, and without exaggerating i could honestly say he probably owned close to the entire game library me and him played the crap out of that system, we played it so much that the cart slot couldnt grip cartridges anymore so it was pretty much dead
  23. True that try running some RAM Diagnostics software on boot, i beleive the ubuntu ISO comes with it (so you can boot from a CD easily) As for daemon tools breaking it, dont buy it, that has nothing to do with anything and if theres one thing i learned the hard way about computers, is if you do something wrong, they dont just randomly break down the road, they break right then and there and your screwed
  24. I own that Apevia (Aspire) one, and i can tell you first hand its a very good PSU
  25. good news, i got some extra cash and im just gonna get a Core 2 Duo
