  1. Be careful with those cheap meds. If your talking about the illegal bootleg kind they are usually mostly chalk so your getting a much weaker pill. Either that or it's something else completely.
  2. Nah what you do is take a copy of your BIOS, Inject a fake SLIC line into it and then re-flash it. It works and its convenient. But a loader can achieve the same result without blowing up in your face. If you mod it wrong or the flash messes up your mobo is fucked unless you can get a new BIOS chip. Which is usually a pain and a ripoff. It's also not a good idea if you overclock because it can effect stability. Sometimes things have to be in a certain order I guess.
  3. so you basically used the fix mbr equivalent in linux?
  4. Is there any point in getting say SVC Chaos retail version for xbox when I already have the ROM in CoinOPS? Does it play any better/have any extra stuff? There are a bunch of games like this (street fighter) and I was just wondering. (BTW I was playing that game earlier, FUCK Goenitz, worst AI ever, he keeps using that same tornado move over and over and over and that is all he does, you just block until he finally gives up and comes near you and beat on him)
  5. Yeah I'm not totally sure but it would make sense if installing Windows 7 last was the right way to do it.
  6. Really? I would think everything would be someplace else by now. Nice!
  7. The GRUB loader is just weird about it. If you install the OSes in the wrong order it will de-activate windows. It's entirely possibly you set everything up correctly by accident. If everything is activated and working chances are you did.
  8. yeah i watched part of that movie, it just wasn't funny. that stuff with that dude and his ex was pretty stupid too.
  9. Did this work? Putting it in the DMZ probably won't completely solve your problem, so if it doesn't get back to me and I'll help you out.
  10. GRUB works, it just makes dual booting somewhat of a pain when you are using it to crack windows. If your activation doesn't use GRUB make sure to check your expiration date, I know there where a few that just replaced the activation files with some from the beta so it will still expire eventually.
  11. Angelfire, What about Tripod!? Homestead!? Netfirms?!
  12. Loaders work just as well if you do it right and use a good one. Personally I wouldn't want to mess with the BIOS of my 300+ dollar mobo. I did find a pre made one but it doesn't seem hard to do it yourself. Still...If it doesn't flash right I'm pretty screwed. It could effect the stability too because I'm overclocked. Sometimes things that make no sense effect stability I have noticed.
  13. Did you set a password during install? What you are supposed to do is disable the update check, not set any password (for your account or admin) and then when it boots to the desktop for the first time you just let it sit there until it restarts itself. If you want I can PM you a link about how to activate it manually if that still doesn't work. (It is funky with certain mobos I think) I have also started moving to D-Link, right now I run a WRT54GS V2 with Tomato though.
  14. Yeah that is a bit odd. Especially since Linksys is actually Cisco. Very unlike them.
  15. Some guy attempted to back up everything on Geocities. http://reocities.com/ Why would you save any of that garbage? If you ask me closing geocities cleaned up the net a bit. Anyone who knew anything about anything was hosted somewhere else. There was a reason people called it Geoshitties.
  16. Oh. Well then. I think I followed along the best I could, my sister and I were discussing the end. Now I wonder what the games are all about. Well if you decide to just look it up and read up on Silent Hill your probably going to be pretty surprised. I don't know anyone who was even close to figuring out what was really going on who hadn't played the games.
  17. Try using the Vista driver, supposedly Win7 is backward compatible with all of the Vista drivers. From what I've read it's more like most of them though.
  18. heh, I guess I don't notice things like that because I usually have a ton of tabs open, if it's music you usually don't need to be watching the video because it is often just a picture of the album.
  19. yeah my dad had a glass desk that was pretty nice. How much weight can they support though? This 21 inch CRT is no joke, I looked up the specs and it weighs 70 pounds.
  20. I'm still waiting on Razer to release a driver for my damn mouse of all things. Also I thought with Win7 even the OEMs come up up to 3 machine license, maybe not though. The activation line is pretty lax, I've used it a couple times. I just told them the PC it used to be installed on doesn't exist anymore because it was parted out and I wanted to install it on my new machine.
  21. Seems like a pretty good idea but all it is really doing is searching youtube for you. You can do that yourself (and avoid crap quality uploads) and set up playlists I believe (never tried it) I keep getting a bunch of tools doing shitty covers instead of the actual song.
  22. Just watched GI Joe. I was blown away by how terrible this movie was. I am convinced that the cartoon had to be better (never got into it) just because this movie was so bad. The acting, storyline, dialogue, writing, characters, choreography, faux technology, music, transitioning, and even the way it was filmed was just absolute shit. Only about 1/4 of the special effects where any good, none of the fighting/tech/anything was believable, and not a single minute was entertaining. I could point out some examples but I really want to just forget this movie ever existed (some straight up ridiculous shit happens in this movie). I give this movie a 1/10 just because they managed to avoid a low budget look and they at least managed the basic structure of a story. What a waste of my time. If you haven't seen this movie yet don't bother. It wasn't even entertaining because it was bad (although I laughed pretty hard when Norton Internet Security popped up on the top secret government computer and during the ridiculous particle accelerator scene). I don't even think Mike Nelson and the gang could save this movie. There is just no excuse for this. Rotten Tomatoes 36/100 http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/gi_joe/ IMDB 5.9/10 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1046173/ Metacritic 32/100 http://www.metacritic.com/film/titles/gijo...ra?q=G.I.%20Joe
  23. that is indeed a nice looking desk. It would get totally ruined if I had it though. I think maybe I should go for a home depot type work bench. My current desk has all kinds of scratches/nicks/stains/burn marks/missing chunks I use it for projects as well as my PC so it gets pretty abused.
  24. Just give it to them, You don't need your old key/disc and you don't even need it installed to use the upgrade edition. You can start with a completely blank HDD and do a clean install of 7 from an upgrade disc.
  25. Here is some more crazy stuff http://blogs.adobe.com/jnack/2009/10/video...aware_fill.html Works pretty damn well it seems.
