There's only one monitor connected. I accidently fixed it. What I did was change the properties of my command prompt from "Full Screen" to "Window". Happy again.

A torrent is a form of peer-to-peer file transfer. Firstly you need to download a client such as uTorrent or Azureus. Install it. Then, register yourself on a tracker site which is usually the same place you download your .torrent file from. Download the .torrent file. Start the client, and open the .torrent file you just downloaded. It may ask where do want the file to be saved. Then, your client will connect to the tracker. The tracker knows about those people who already have the file. Bits of the file will be copied from the other people's computers to yours. Sit back and wait for it to complete. While you are downloading, you are a "leecher". When it finishes, it becomes available for other to download from you. Now you are a "seeder". Some trackers require that you seed back at least as much as you took. Since other people helped you get the file, it's only fair that you help others. Does that help you?

OK, here's the story, I downloaded the new mame source and compiled it, no problems. I have a newish computer (got it last christmas) running XP. Video card is a Radeion X850 Series (can have 2 monitors plugged in although I only use one), and the display properties show Direct3d as being there. Go to command prompt, enter >mame anygame It says: Proposed video mode not supported on device \\.\DISPLAY1 Unable to initialize Direct3D. osd_init failed and then throws me back to the desktop. I tried ddraw and gdi, and these work fine. It's just d3d that is troublesome. I ran dxdiag and all tests were passed. Guess it's a computer problem, what do you suggest?

I've just heard that mame32qa is 85% complete, hopefully should appear today or tomorrow.

It has to be not making money for anyone, and someone has to have dumped the roms, and someone has to have figured out how it worked and wrote a driver. Seeing as it's making money that's the first hurdle to overcome.

I don't have one in my list. Which probably means there isn't a good one out there (or none at all).
