  1. Then just use the PC. Why do you need an X-box port? Anwyays, I bet a port or original emulator will show up sooner or later.
  2. Don't double post. Anyways, you can still get the new dump of Pochii & Nyaa (sp?) off of alt.binaries.emulators.neogeo and alt.binaries.emulators.arcade. There is a "fixed" v rom for pnyaa, but it doesn't work with the m rom (encrypted or decrypted). Of course, you're probably better off with the Zupapa roms since the "fixed" rom only works *sometimes* so it comes in and out.
  3. I don't really see any point to these CD conversions. IMO, it's just as easy to use Neo CD emulator and the ISO. You don't even have to burn the image to a CD, you just grab Daemon Tools if needed.
  4. Well, the only thing I can think of is getting a mod-chip for your Saturn. You can still find them, but you'll probably have to install it yourself.
  5. I see. So it just jumped boards is all. On topic, sort of, I believe you can find information on 68k coding at Zophar's Domain.
  6. Unlike MAME where the programmers attempt "accurate emulation," the author of U64 based his code on Nintendo 64 emulators. It's not accurate, but it's faster.
  7. BTW, wasn't the bbq line from K'dash (or someone else) or was that you?
  8. My set is 73MB and the set could be 85MB if they added the decrypted roms too. The decrypted roms are about 12MB, IIRC.
  9. Unless you have them, you'll need the Killer Instinct CHD files. If you need them and/or updated roms, check out RomShare. You'll need to sign up, but it's free.
  10. Then maybe you have a merged set GryphonKlaw...? I don't know since I never use Zinc. Are there any trainers so you can play hacks/translations not officially supported? I know the Zinc site mentions that they could be used, but I don't know if anyone has actually made one.
  11. Agozer, there's a tool. You can use a hex editor or combination of assembler and disassembler. Of course, you'll have to get a 68k (dis)assembler or know how to code in it to hack it with a hex editor. I don't know how to do it myself, though. You'll have to figure that information out on your own.
  12. Have you check out SegaXtreme's Help & FAQ section? There should be a tutorial there for the swap trick if not with the ram.
  13. Huh? There may be a bootleg rom for the SNES that's "Tekken," but it would be totally 2D like the NES bootleg and Genesis bootleg Virtua Fighter vs. Tekken (not actual in game name). The SNES one looks to be the VF hack w/ all Tekken characters ported to the SNES. MAME emulates Tekken and so does Zinc. Aside from that I don't know of any other arcade emulators that run it.
  14. Yeah, that tool will help you identify what codecs were used for the video and audio. It can be very useful when you have no idea why it isn't working. You also may want to try DivFix, which is available at the site I mentioned above. Make sure to backup up the movie file before using it, just in case.
  15. Did you try to see what WMP would try to do to fix it or what it provided in it's help option (if available)? Also, are you sure that it's encoded in DiVX format? If you don't have the right version, it may not play the video properly either.
  16. That's not all that clear. What media player are you using and what codec? Try checking out http://www.dvdrhelp.com for tools and information about video files.
  17. I doubt this will work in Nebula and I know it won't work in Kawaks 1.46 because Kawaks can't load a 512KB m rom. You could use the "fixed" m rom, which is just the m rom cut into 128KB chunks. Each 128KB is the same, IIRC. This probably won't work anyways since it probably uses some sort of protection. I don't know if Nebula has a fix for that or not, but if it does, nobody knows it ATM if I'm not mistaken.
  18. Yeah, but some of the people behind the emulation can be considered professional "hackers." The special chips for SNES weren't documented, but they were able to find ways to emulate them (i.e. C4).
  19. Looks like the same guy to me, so I don't think he's trying to change it to throw people off. Currently (last time I checked, anyways) the downloads were down. Haven't checked the forum to see what people thought about the hacking of the other site (if their topics still exist).
  20. You mean fan support? If so, yeah, that's what killed it. The gaming industry and game reviewers liked it for the most part, though. Mainstream gamers were holding out for the PS2 despite the fact that the launch and subsequent release titles weren't really all that great. You could get pretty much the same results out of a DC.
  21. That'd be better and what I was thinking (or at least provide some form of DC upgrade). Backwards compatibility and DVD9 (or even higher) support would be awesome in a "DC2" console. On the subject of the CD-Rs, I don't know if that would be a good thing or a bad thing. It'd be good in a sense that people couldn't pirate their games so easily, but homebrew development would be stifled some what.
  22. You mean the Dreamcast? That would be hella sweet if they started support for it back up again.
  23. Well, I hope they don't make another console. I'm only saying this because if it flops (even though it may be better than others at the time) it might put a final nail in Sega's coffin. Maybe it won't be that dramatic, but it'd definitely put a major dent in their business. BTW, wouldn't a Sega announcement be related to Sammy too? I doubt they'll make new arcade hardware since Sammy's trying to pimp Atomiswave, but you never know.
  24. The image must had a lot of 00s or FFs (if you looked at it in a hex editor). Unless the nfo said you needed a 80 minute disc, you could've probably burned it to a 75 minute CD-R. About the typing, just search eBay or some second game store for the DC keyboard. It comes in handy when playing online (especially FPS). BTW, why does everybody misspell disc? Disk is used for floppies and hard drives while disc is used for CDs, DVDs, and laserdiscs. Oh well, no big whup.
  25. That's where reverse engineering comes into play. That has helped with NES and SNES emulation, if I'm not mistaken. It's probably helped with other console/computer/arcade emulation too.
