I find speed runs more interesting, IMO. I saw someone do a "music video" with Counter-Strike to the song "I Like to Move It" (not sure on the exact name, but hopefully you know what I'm talking about). It was kinda funny, but not all that great.

RAM upgrade would be the likely reason. I'm spyware/adware clean since I find them to be equivalent to viruses (check for them more since I don't have "active protection" software as I do for viruses). I sometimes tend to multi-task too. I expect too much out my computer sometimes .

Well, some of my other favs have been listed (I did relist some...), but K'dash has reminded me of some more hotties. The 24 chick looked best in The Girl Next Door, IMO.

Yeah, sometimes companies build upon their engines for new games. In fact, I believe that happened with the BUILD engine too . Anyways, MKT was the pinnacle of that series 2D graphics wise, IMO. No, no. I didn't mean that at all. I just meant that encrypting the roms takes time (convert2 is slow on my computer). Personally, I don't know which are right. The Kawaks dev set or the one in Johnboy's dats. Doesn't really matter, though. I guess I'll try that XOR value to on the C roms I got for PI:M Kawaks set to see if I get the bootleg C roms.

Quake 4 will be done by Raven (did Hexen 1/2 and Heretic 1/2) using the Doom 3 engine last I read. From the preliminary pictures I've seen, it looks like it's a sequal to Quake 2. I kinda wish they'd make a sequal to Quake 1, oh well . Why did John Romero have to go and leave id to make (yeuch) Daikatana and then leave Ion Storm after having hurt it so. I wonder if Nelno the Amoeba (don't remember real name), the author of Zeus & Cujo bot plus many other mods like the BFG for Quake 1, is still with Ion Storm. Edit: K'dash, I agree with you about the MK3 engine. It was probably used for UMK3 (arcade &/or Saturn) and possibly for MKT (PSX/PC/N64/Saturn).

Yay, my post has been "immortalized!" Or at least preserved for a little while . IMO, the neo-geo.com info isn't credible since the described character's traits contrasts with Neo X's. Could be wrong though. His justification for the swastika is lame. Did he not realize that he also posted an Iron Cross or did he skip history class? After all, the cross is a German symbol. If he wanted to post the 4 ls, why not the Hindu swastika? I don't remember hearing/reading about Native Americans using it...

Hmm, I always thought its XOR value was 6A, could be 1A. Of course we could be talking different things... Anyways, the encryption/decryption will work, but that doesn't mean they're the correct roms. I personally would rather have the decrypted set since it'd be smaller, unless I'm mistaken. That way, if ends up being wrong, you haven't just wasted your time (not much time wasted probably, but wasted time none the less ). Oh yeah, what's with your avatar? Some lesbos can let you watch, though. As some straight couples, some homosexual couples like an audience. Now, I doubt you'll see many of those (lesbian at least), unless you know where to look. The only lesbians that scare me are the butch dykes ... I mean no offense to any lesbians that can be described as such or, in other words, please don't beat me up .

Don't know if this has been said yet, but if it has this is an agreement post . Anyways, IMO, it died out because they're so repetitive and are very similar to each other much less their sequals. Don't get me wrong, I love the original Final Fight, Streets of Rage, X-Men (Konami), TMNT 2 & 4 (also Konami), Sunset Riders (Konami again, plus it had guns ), Simpsons (yep, Konami), and Spiderman Maximum Carnage. There are more that I like, but I know that they share lots of similarities. Main problem, repetitive enemies which are pretty much alike from game to game.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I, like the K man, am a huge FPS fan. I'd say what really shocked me was Half-Life since it was based off the Quake/Quake 2 engine (Q2 is based off of Q1 engine BTW). Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 look really cool also, IMO. Quake 3 was another great one from id. My favorite has to be the Duke Nukem Forever engine, though (hopefully I'm not the only one to get this joke...).

You've listed all my favorites for the most part. As a kid, I especially liked watching Get Smart on Nick at Night. MASH was *okay* IMO. It was funny, but the laugh track kinda killed it for me (don't know why, though ). I guess it was because it was outside most of the time..?

Is this like the Free MAME ROMs group? I would do this, but I don't have a DVD burner and I"m sometimes slow at updating my sets .

I'm looking for either the ClrMAMEPro or RomCenter dat files for NeoRAGEx EGCG v4.2 (or whichever version it is). I know it exists since I've seen the filename on the net (no downloads, though). I also saw the file on Overnet, but I wasn't able to download it. If anyone knows where I can grab, let me know. Thanks in advance. P.S. I need them to see the CRCs for the newer rom sets (i.e. MS 5, SvC Chaos/Plus, SS 5, etc.).

I would trust the "encrypted" sets since there are multiple sources that say which is the right CRC and not. I do have the C roms for the Kawaks dev version. Don't know if they're encrypted or not (could explain the CRC differences between "official" and bootleg dump).

Yeah, MESS emulates consoles and computers, IIRC. It's mainly best for computer emulation, if I'm not mistaken. AFAIK, you can't convert NES console roms into PC10 or VS. Even if you did, you'd have to write the proper driver and that may include adding mapper emulation.

Well, I'd go for Nebula (heard it sucks..) or the Neo CD emulator. Mr. X, it shouldn't be too hard to get a port up and running as long as the person knows how to code. Besides, if garageink is correct, you could easily get a controller converter so you can play w/ the Xbox controller on your PC. Problem with these conversions is that the audio is in CDDA format and not in the v roms. Until someone is able to do that, I'm not bothering with them.

You can play SMB3 with MAME, but only the PC10 rom. MAME can only play a handful of NES (based, at least) games. Those are the Playchoice 10 and VS games. On a side note, I kinda wonder how much Playchoice 10 systems and games go for these days (rhetorical question, so no need to answer).

AFAIK, they've yet to dump the ROM in the cartridge needed for decryption. Last I heard, Guru fried his. I don't know if he got a new one or not or if someone else had dumped it.
