Ok I have found a good tutorial on how to lock a sotmodded hard drive: Necessary Equipment: 1) xboxhdm 1.9 (Found at xbins’ in the directory: /XBOX/Operating Systems/linux/distributions) not sure if you've used xbins, you will need to access it in order to get the "xbox hdm 1.9" app. Xbins is a big repository of all things xbox but must be accesed in a certain way. here is a link to utility that makes xbins very easy to access: http://www.360mods.net/index.php?name=Down...tails&id=29 - use this to go into xbins and download xbox hdm 1.9 using the path mentioned 2) Torx 10 And Torx 20 Screwdrivers - To Open XBOX 3) A Spare/Blank PC Hardrive you may have to wipe your drive the 40gb one that is 4) FTP Program (AceFTP, SmartFTP etc.) use this http://software.visicommedia.com/en/products/aceftpfreeware/ 5) A blank CD-R/W and A CD Burner Right, got all that? good now look at this tutorial and follow it step by step, it sounds like you already have the eeprom data etc but just go through it again and hopefully this should work mate. TUTORIAL ON HOW TO LOCK SOFT MODDED XBOX BELOW http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/203286 You may have already done this step - taken from the tutorial: Steps: 1. On your xbox's evox dashboard go to system utils and select backup. While your waiting for that to finish, extract all files in xboxhdm 1.9 to your PC'S hard drive and open up the folder 'linux'. In that folder is a folder called 'eeprom'. Once the backup is complete, on your PC run the desired FTP program and access your xbox. Go to E:\ backup_linux\ and download a file called 'eeprom.bin' to the xboxhdm\linux\eeprom folder of on your PC’s hard drive. Then go to the root of your xbox and download the full folders of C:\ and E:\ to your PC's hard drive to the xboxhdm\linux folder and overwrite the ones already there. If you cannot putin original xbox hard drive to the xbox to complete this step and you already have the data mentioned above you can use it to move to step 2 Good luck mate keep at it you'll get there

Yeah that's what i did when i saw that a guy was working on 1.29, and never release it. Then i started to work on it. Thanks for that friendly repply (it's a sarcasm before you ask), by reading that i think i really took the good decision, i'm now free to do what i want and not working anymore on an emulator that i don't even use myself. cool so what are you gonna do next out of interest? Take a break and play some games or something? Didn't realise you didn't even use the emulator! You did a lot of work for us Mr Mooooooo It will take me months/years to play all the games already emulated on FBA-XXX I think it has been taken really far maybe as far as it could go considering the problems with ported code etc. You should be proud you carried the torch quite a bit further.... It would be nice if there was still some future support for drivers patches etc. for showcase. Although I guess the driver work is wrapping up now? Im sure a lot of ppl think the same, they're probably just busy playing and not on this forum as it all works straight off. @ xbox: Never played any of these games in the arcade except the recently added thunder hoop which I played on holiday in france, or some generic scrolling flying/schmups 1944 etc. By the time I was in the arcade it was all time crisis and house of the dead plus I used to punch the shit out of this punch bag game; sonic blast man was mint. I guess my point is some of us do need to be advised which games are good, or risk getting bored playing crap. For example I tried Shinobi and it seemed basic so I played something else, plus I have it for the megadrive. Some ppl remember the old games and go looking for that feeling they had when they were young, some ppl love the history and the story and the artwork, some ppl just love to play old games for the gameplay. We'll never all agree!!! Horses for courses there is a lot of options out there a lot for everyone - I have access to the big romset but just think its overkill and my 360gb hard drive is running out of space for music which I think is more important than some game from 1985 when I was 3 Plus the reason I didn;t add all the other games was the lack of video support and in some cases picture support. I didn't want this to ruin the look of the emulator by leaving "gaps". I think you would be doing a great service to everyone who wants all the games if you made those videos available. Not many ppl are going to buy them or take time to record them... personally im ok am going to stick with showcase unless it gets totally outdated or something...

cool well personally I think I would prefer to just have the good games added (30-40) rather than all of them because its simply impossible for me to play or want to play them all. Driver updates and good games because space is an issue for some ppl and im sure a lot of those games don't get played, just collected! Plus if ppl do want to add the 1000 games it can already be done quite easily. I think showcase should be the new flagship of your fleet, I love the way it just does everything now. Great games and good times

exactly! I suppose that was what I was getting at really, some sort of dashboard specifically made for arcade cabinets. I suppose all this is done quite easily anyway, it would be cool to make it easier for people to do though. At the moment I use evox3935 with shortcuts to the emulators I use. One day I hope to put the xbox into an arcade cabinet but then I might need another xbox for media centre as it is currently hooked up to my amp. shame the 360 isn't as cool as the original for all this stuff. imagine what could be emulated with the extra power under the hood!
