I have seen some talk on here about merging different emulators to be "under one hood." At least thats the way I took it... Was wondering if people would prefer to have an emulator that runs absolutely everything or if they would prefer just a nice looking all in one emulator launcher such as a stripped down version of xbmc tailored or this particular task. Or do people think they should just remain seperate? Personally I think it would be cool to honour everyone by keeping different emulators seperate but maybe creat some sort of sleek, beat playing, history giving launcher. This would be great if the launcher could be used as a dashboard, I bet ppl who have built their own xbox cabinets would love something like that/ maybe they already have it but im imagining something like this: Turn on - presented straight away with nice graphics emphasising the xbox's versatility etc (maybe while loading) then a selection of options appears accompanied with nice graphics - pics etc: "please select your emulator" scroll up and down / select, maybe each box expands to offer different versions of said emulators once selected Once selected the emulator loads as normal. This way everything is all under one program (much like xbmc) yet still seperate entities. If this could be released as an all in one package it would possibly be granting a massive boon to the xbox emulation scene especially to the noobs. Imagine a world where xbox cabinets start springing up all over the place as the popularity rises again - a hopeless dreamer? - perhaps Anyhow just a thought for the day feel free to read and discard but am interested to see what the general concensus is for everyone in here? Showcase is the way coinops should be, works good sounds good looks good and easy to set up - and it works without hours of reading forums and having to figure stuff out. The showcase is pretty much perfect in my opinion games are being added which is everyone's main concern now everything works so it is all good So what were you thinking of doing to it? will the patch add more user funtionality, games support or will it tie up loose ends behind the scenes: bugs, bloat etc? quick edit: don't keep the patch to yourself man! if it makes showcase better then how can I fulfil my seemingly never-to-end quest to have the ultimate xbox if I can't get the "special stuff" lol. Not that it really matters you just do what you think is best mate.

tried to play r-type delta on psxbox, man that black r-type looks mean as! Can't get the game to run smoothly tho, barely start up so have scrapped that one. Many settings require tinkering I think but I always have trouble with doing that stuff - suffer from a short attention span probably because I play too many games! Back to midway arcade treasures 3 RUSH 2049 trying to earn a million stunt points to unlock the gauntlet. Man this game is tough! Havin trouble turning my attention from forza 2 tho, I love that game wish Forza 3 would effing hurry up!!!

"Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder" Thats fantastic, I always wanted that game to run without any glitches in coinops, I hope iq_132 you sort it, and get it running full speed Myself being a huge Golden Axe fan this is good news. Keep up the great work. Excellent news! Always wanted to try this game, hope you can make it playable it would make an excellent addition to what is an excellent emulator!

i use a 37 inch lcd tv and i havent noticed any lines going through in osman,you do know that you can set asect ratio for widescreen tvs in the opions dont you?? lol yes you've beaten me to it, just looking through the options in coinops and I found it, so that means the coinops gui is totally sublime, man this just gets better and better :):):) I should elaborate, the lines go through the "shadows" and the "golden dude" who appears when you press punch. I noticed this on some other roms as well cant remember which, usually on shadows or when the sprite is flashing. Its no biggie tho still totally playable! edit: think this is because the game is 58hz and my tv is 60hz... edit2: found the answer on page 1: Throttle disabling is useful for games running at 57fps, 59fps, 58fps(cave), 61fps (namco). Enter the ingame menu, "remap gamepad", and map one or several keys as THROTTLE. (You can map your THROTTLE as back+X+B ) Example: If you think Dodonpachi (58 fps) isn't that smooth, call the THROTTLE function by pressing the keys remapped. THROTTLE will be disabled (because enabled by default) This will force the game to run at 60 fps (60/58 fps): a small speedup but a smoother animation.

COOL GUYS, cool... anyone got any tips on how to configure osman? Using a 32inch widescreen LCD some of the gfx have lines through them and im not adept at using filters etc anyone got any tips? PS not sure if it means anything but I vote for correct aspect ratio options for coinops - that would make the GUI sublime imho - just wish I knew what to do for a "patch" or whatever Maybe even just an option that lets you manually enter the resolution (that you looked up on maws because you care) and maybe remember for that game? Doesn't have to be auto

I just completed that yesterday as the meaner predator, wonder if you get a different ending for each character? great game tho. Gonna try osman next

cheers for the x68000 tip, i have tried it and removed it a lot of great games were in a foreign language and I was having trouble not having a keyboard and mouse anyhow gave it a blast... Just ordered Midway Arcade Treasures 3 for RUSH 2049 - I used to have that game on my dreamcast and it was my fave whoever thought of putting jet thrusting wings on a car to control the stunts is a genius in my book. 3 - 2 - 1 RUSH lol watch this guy make that course look easy - I never did beat that one maybe this time I will (when it arrives lol) one of the best driving games ever imho

Agreed looks pretty original from the sunken ststue of liberty to fighting on a bike looks like a cool game. I love beatem ups the best out of all games (apart from scrolling shooters) they're very theraputic!

Still Keepin my fingers crossed for Golden Axe II: Revenge of the Death Adder I know the chances are slim tho otherwise I guess it would have been fixed already.... Man I can't get over how slick the showcase is it really is amazing wait till my mates see this and fall over dead through xbox jealousy woohahahahahaaaaAAAAA!

Am using Neogenesis for the xbox, playing micromachines 2 and '96 The game seems to be slightly throttled up too fast, this is especially noticable when you beep the horn, it doesn't beep but goes "peeep" as though the sound has been speeded up, any thoughts anyone, any and all help is much appreciated micro machines was my favourite game of all time I just want to emulate it accurately

Cool, the X68000 looks really good, tried googling to find a copy with games etc no joy could you point me in the right direction 0'knowledgeable one EDIT: actually scrap that someone was cool enough to put up a megaupload link on t'internet so found it cool

downloaded 8.02gb 2.42 to go....... don;t forget to set those upload speeds high good ppl, then the "swarm" of leechers will all catch up to the seeds much quicker
