pretty sure it's speculation as far as SF4. as much as I pray for SF4 in time for the anniversary (sp ) I don't think it's gonna happen.

yeah I agree. I like pc based RPG's over console ones. my least favorite being the FF series. I've played every one and not liked any. well if I had to pick one I'd say Elder scrolls III morrowind. I just love that games so much. you can play for houndreds of hours and not run out of stuff to do.

Terry is probably my 2nd least favorite SNK character, Slightly edged out by Benimaru. although terry did look kool in MotW in a kinda curt cobain way. my favorite SNK character is Vannessa.

yes sega's VF series is slower paced. that's the point, it's not a button mashers game, like most other 3D fighters. It's more like chess. and it can get pretty fast paced. if you don't believe me get some videos of the best pai and lao players, it can go from "round one" to "game over" in a heartbeat. although I holeheartedly agree with you about capcom but we'll never convince those SNK fanboys J/K guys don't flame me with your l33t orochi powers. heheh

They're still newb. but they still make better fighting games than just about every company out there. and sammy doesnt make the games. arc system works does. I disagree...knowing as how most of the chicks are drawn(Mai), it would kinda be disturbing...well...they did make Morrigan mini, and that worked out fine. the neo geo pocket games were in that super deformed style, albeit vary limited sprites.

Well its rumored that Xbox games etc will not be compatiable with Xbox2.....If that is the case then MS are gonna lose then next gen console wars by a very large margin... Nope. PS3 is going to have compatibility issues as well. The processors are going to change, thus the games prior are going to be impossible to play. Both Sony and MS are in a pickle over this. If one is able to pull it off, it is the other's demise. Anon. Sony has hired the best emulation authors to make ps3 be able emulate ps1 and ps2... You mean they've hired Frost's friend?! Awesome! Where did you hear this news? Sony was advertising all over the net and in the newspaper for experienced emulation personnel.... Also Sony will make the PS3 backwards compatible with the PS2 and PS1 because thats what gave the PS2 its edge.... I bet its a sting operation. They lure all the best emulators and then arrest them. It'll keep them away from emulating all the other consoles. Or Sony could steal specs from the new XBOX and have them work on that emulator so it would devalue the console when it comes out. Emulators are not illegal (well Nintendo Handheld emulators are)...only the Roms are..... just loading the rom on an emulator is illegal Having the rom image and not owning the original cartridge/CD/DVD is illegal. You have a privilege of keeping backups of your software. isn't it legal if you only use it for private use w/out distribution? It's legal as long as you own the original medium. Whats up with all of the quoting.... Anyways, I cannot wait until the specs of the Xbox 2, GC2, PS3 get publically released.... I have heard that the PS3 will use the Blue Ray Disc technology (1 disc holds 50gb)...lets hope this is true... Let's make this most highly quoted post ever. Blue Ray technology would just kick so much ass. But how can game developers make games that take up 50 gigs...that's just amazing. Just think how much unlockables/other extras 50Gb could hold... Just imagine the pure game content. RPGs would never end. Imagine 50 gigs of Final Fantasy...that's like years of gameplay. I hope not, I just got a decent DVD burner. and are Blue ray drives compatable with DVD & CD technology? if not the whole console emu and homebrew scenes are screwed.

there are alot of people perfectly happy with soft mods. the key is to read everything you can get your hands on and go slow. same goes for hard mods. before I bought my xbox I knew exactly what my options were, what I was gonna do, and how to do it. along with a plan b if everything went fubar.

yeah the other forums are kinda dead right now. I started in the xbox forum (then NGemu or something) but that was when alot was going on with xbox emulation now it's at a slower pace so I moved over here to chat about goofball stuff. other then here and xbox I post on occassion in the dc section.

agreed sony and all the video games rags made the ps2 with hype. mostly unfounded. remember all those promises? all those tech demos? all crap. what did we get? empty shelves and fantavision. heheh thats why I don't get exited about tech demos and press releases any more. it's gonna be 80% crap anyways. I should dig up some of the crap sony said before launch, all that emotion engine stuff.

I just picked up gt4:prologue and I must say I am not impressed. PGR2, hell even midnightclub looks better. sony fanboys flame all you want but if it weren't for smackdown, GGX2 and Macross I wouldn't play my ps2 at all right now. before anyone spazzes out I've got all the systems exept GC, I had one but sold it after I beat zelda and metroid.

The distillers are kool. I seen them in concert with social distortion when they first came out. that was a cool show. tim armstrong was in the crowd. now I dunno, she left tim for that pop rock dude in queens of the stone age.
