I dunno if 3d is more tournament ready then 2d. there is a long history of 2d tournaments. and I would consider VF4 to be the only 3d fighter tournament worthy

I agree that 2d is at a dead end right now. it seems that nothing new can be done. but I still prefer the look of hand drawn sprites and the faster style of most 2d fighters. thats just my opinion. 3d has a bright future and there are some stand out 3d fighters. but for the time being I stick by 2d. but the question riot poses is which has more potential. so I say 3d has the most potential right now. unless some breakthrough is made in 2d gameplay.

I use xfer202 to transfer big ISOs to my xbox (my dash is unleashx). I'll have to try that out next time I use a big iso (should be within the next day or 2). How much faster are we talking. I dunno, since Ava locks up my box I've never got to use it. maybe prican25 or someone else who uses avalaunch and qwix can let us know how big the speed difference is.

I voted no but only when file sharing is used the way I think it was meant to be. I get alot of out of print and bootleg (live ect) music through file sharing. this doesn't hurt the recording industry at all cuz they aren't giving me the option to buy those songs. other music I use file sharing as a sampler. download a few tracks to see if i like it. then either delete or buy the album. If you like a band enough to dl songs then you need to support them with record sales. people that only DL and never buy are hurting the recording industry.

well it was being developed on ps2 related hardware. so I don't think that had anything to do with it. from what I heard it just didn't do well in arcade tests.

here is something I was thinking of earlier, it could have something to do with the HK Treamcast. portable dreamcast bootleg. I heard a while back that sega was in talks with the manufacturers.

What higher transfer speeds??? I use avalaunch is an app so I can dl saves for games without having to transfer them from my pc to my xbox. As for the original poster, either get a dvd burner or a bigger HDD. You can find 120 gig HDD for under $100 now. the ftp between qwix and avalaunch is faster then you will get with qwix and another dash or flash fxp. it's something on the avalaunch side to boost the speed between qwix and ava. only usefull when transfering big isos. gamesaves are so small it wouldn't matter anyways.

hell the 3do, jaguar, virtualboy ect ect also existed. that don't mean anything. the phantom busness model is flawed. no way is someone gonna buy a system that only plays games available on thier pc already (the system relies on broadband, people with or willing to get broadband most likely already have a decent PC), and pay a monthly fee. if it's a sucess I'll eat my shorts.

yeah qwix is cool. I use it for ripping isos and also for transfering isos from my pc to xbox HDD. I can't get Avalaunch running tho, so i can't take advantage of the higher transfer speed.

from what i've heard those USB chips still require a swap to boot backups and imports, so what's the use?! just get a slide card and swapmagic.

From the frying pan into the fire. Which is worse, humid hot or dry hot? I say humid hot because you're also really sticky which sucks. humid hot sux the worst. dry hot isn't so bad once you get used to it.

I didn't really like Killer Instinct. Ikaruga needs a sequel. that game just owns Ikarari warriors, bad dudes, SNATCHER! infact all the sega cd games (even the FMV ones) should get sequels and Cory Haim should star in all them
