  1. No problem man. That's all my own work testing roms that worked with the system. It was a bunch of roms I've had for years that I finally got around to wrapping up. I'd try to do it again for all of your new stuff, but if I do that, it would be a few more months before I can walk away from all of this and get my crap together in "real life". I'll make sure to say it's my own collection of roms that work with CoinOPS R5 and FBL 1.3, that it's not endorsed by you and that they may or may not all work with your new emulators. UG is back up! Most of you already probably know that. I'm very pleased with everyone for sticking around. I actually saw that the huge Genesis torrent has 51 100% seeders! As far as I know, that's the first system to break 50. Great job everyone. Now all we need is some people who have gotten them set up right to start putting them in other places such as public trackers. After the sabotage that happened to our own MU links, as well as the attempted sabotage by somebody pretending to be part of some Brazilian Anti-Piracy organization, I would like to see this stuff up in as many places as possible. I just don't have the time to do it myself. I'm only uploading this stuff once guys. It's on you all now to make sure that it doesn't get shut down now that a majority of the work is out in the wild.
  2. Good luck getting your fixes in bro. NES is a great guy that gave us a great thing, but he was only really accepting suggestions for fixes between 1.whatever and 1.3. I missed that window myself, even though I could have downloaded it at any time and given my thoughts while beta-testing was happening. I was just too immersed in my own stuff to do it, and regret it now that it's too late to get things done. Kenshiro is working on fixes and may release 1.4 at some point. All I know about it is that he got some new games working. I don't know if what you're asking for is anything he'd know how to do or even be interested in, but since he's the guy holding the FBL ball now, I'd PM him about it at the other site if he's not available here. Later, ~Rx
  3. Everyone keep whatever you have at whatever point it was at. They're just changing servers. This was unannounced, so I hope everything is cool over there. Information other than that has been pretty sparse. The last time this happened was about 3 or 4 years ago and it took about this long, so hopefully it will be back soon. Last time, all of the torrent information was transferred perfect as far as I know, so everyone could jump right back on and seed/leech. Unfortunately, most of the images last time that were hosted on the site were lost. I only had 2 torrents to fix the last time it happened, so it was really just a few hours work. This time I have over 30 to fix, so I'm REALLY hoping they get that part right this time. Like I said, Sega CD is ready whenever it's back up, and my Arcade collection for CoinOPS R5 and FBL 1.3 is nearly ready as well. I realize that CoinOPS is quite a bit further along now and that FBL 1.4 is going to be getting an upgrade soon, but I had to draw a line somewhere or I'd be doing this forever. I'm sure that 90-95% of the stuff that I collected for both systems should be usable in the new versions of both emulators. I will probably include the newest versions of both emulators as well as the older ones I tested with, and make a note in the release that if an included game doesn't work for you in the new emulator to use it in the old one. So.... just keep your stuff ready and don't move it. The site will be back soon.
  4. Sega CD forthcoming... ready whenever the tracker is back online
  5. Not sure if these would play in the original machine. They're ISO/MP3 rips. Would probably need 3 times the space if they were all full images
  6. Wow.... when UG has been down as long as it has been it makes the fact that koolbrez deleted all 100GB of our MU links even that much more lame. Hopefully they're back up again soon. Looks like it's a server change. Hopefully everything is all good when they bring it back up. SegaCD will be the next release hopefully in the next week or two. I will also be releasing .CUT packs that will have full cuts for every game included in the XTras if you followed my file structure. There will also be packs for making your own cuts, but there will be manual work needed on your end to get them all working if your emulators/roms aren't where mine are.
  7. So you don't have arcade mode or 2 player alternating yet? I thought it was like a 10 minute fix?
  8. got arcade mode and 2 player alternating yet?
  9. Hey guys... If you know which file has the displayed game names I could really use it. I'm working with BombBloke on .CUT creators that will let you automatically make huge sets of shortcuts. CoinOPS and FBL are the only problems though because the creator makes the games all have the names of the zipfiles. For the console stuff that's fine, but for the Arcade stuff it sucks with the MAME names. I've already got a file we should be able to use to get the FBL info correct, I just need to find the CoinOPS file with the game names. Thanks, ~Rx
  10. You should at least try some of them out. If you're going to talk negative about my project, you should at least have some experience with it first. EDIT: Anyways... could you or somebody else here tell me what file associated with CoinOPS is the one which specifies which rom zipfile is associated with the name in the GUI when you're scrolling through the games? We're making shortcut files to all games in XBMC and the problem with Arcade games is that they only display the .ZIP name for all roms at this point. If BombBloke can have a good file with both names on it to work from, I'm sure he can come up with an alternative to show the real name of the game instead of the generic zip name. Thanks BP.... or whoever, ~Rx
  11. Wow.... you need all that to play it? Definitely an arcade game after my time. I'd love to see it in action. Glad you got it sorted out, ~Rx
  12. Thanks for reminding me about Cobra Command. I wondered why I still had the game but had the icon blocked on my set up. I did the Daphne stuff about 4 years ago, long before I was keeping any compatibility lists. That reminds me.... I do have any config files that are made on the initial run that greatly speed up the game start the first time for everyone. It's possible that these files screw you up with a different TV, but I doubt it. Just in case, sorry if this happens. I'm not sure what the function of these initial config files are overall, but I remember that it takes the emu foooooorrrrrrreeeeeeeevvvvvveeeeerrrrr to make them. Hell, I don't even remember which folder it is that it makes now. I just remember that the first time I played without having read any instructions I thought I'd never play the emu because of how long it takes to get a game running. This is just the inital run though. Subsequent runs probably take about 90 seconds before the game reaches a playable state. Anyways.... like Neil confirmed, you should definitely try the emu with just those 3 games first if you've never heard of it before or if 21GB scares you It's really cool seeing how inventive people got with arcades back in 1983 when they had very limited resources. There's really not much to these games coding-wise compared to the newest console games out there for sure, but in about 1991 when I first saw them I thought they were new. It wasn't until I came here that I realized that I was dumping quarters into a quarter-eater that had been invented in 1983. Who'd have believed that in 1983 they were playing games with 1.40GB of info on them back when carts at home were like 6kb? The shooters are pretty cool too, I have to admit, it that Roger Corman sort of way. He made Munchies, by the way..... A total rip-off of Gremlins, and a really crappy one to boot. Pretty fun watching with friends who love to hate movies that horrilble like I do. Lep in the hood, up to do no good....
  13. Hey punika, Goldeneye actually had quite a few sensitivity issues in Surreal, at least the last version I played. FreakDave says that the sensitivity is much better in his upcoming release. Anyways....... DaphneX is out. It's a full emu/rom/config torrent since I couldn't separate the media from the emu and the author wrote that 7 years ago and probably isn't available to fix it. 21GB, so the entire set is only recommended for those with big hard drives and want to help seed this stuff forever so it's never lost. For everyone else, you should grab Dragon's Lair 1 & 2, and Space Ace. If you like them, go and grab more
  14. It's cool man. I haven't even released the Arcade set yet. At the very least all the BP Acolytes could have a very good start on a perfect working set with CoinOPS R5 (no consoles) and also have the videos and artwork for them. Some of the roms may be wrong now from R5 to wherever we are now, but I can't get anyone to tell me which roms are different, so I can't fix them unless somebody who knows tells me. I'm done with testing.
  15. Scummvmx and N64 are out now. There are no Xtras for these. This is just my own personal collection for these systems. Scummvmx has 46 games and N64 has over 300. The Scummvmx contains a collection of point and click games like Goblins 1-3, Broken Sword, Monkey Island 1-3, Sam & Max and The Feeble Files. It also contains many ancient games that you had to type commands like Kings Quest 1-4 and Leisure Suit Larry, but you'll have to figure out how to rig up a USB keyboard to use any of them. It also contains any copyright protection codes to break on the 4 or 5 games that need them. Emus I use for these will be collected with all the skins in future torrents. I thought that I'd be able to have a single emu torrent, but that was just as foolish as thinking I'd have a single Xtras torrent. The Nintendo section of emulators alone has nearly 6,000 files, and that's after zipping all of the cheats and skins for NES's ZSNESXBox. I may not even be able to put the Nintendo in one single torrent on its own. Look for about 3 to 4 Emu torrents coming soon when Madmab is done. FBL 1.4 from kenshiro and a new Surreal64 from FreakDave are also in the works, so I'm also waiting on them. Later, ~Rx
  16. Yeah.... I read it though and it seems like he's knocking my project even when I'm not involved in anything here. I've never talked shit about his actual project, which I really think is awesome for its own merits. Just hoping that he's not trying to drag my name through the mud to get back at the usual nemesis he has here. I've got my own personal differences with BP, but the end result of his work has never been one of them.
  17. Is anybody else having this problem? I've had my own saves for a LONG time, so I never noticed this.
  18. We're working on getting the WMV files out there. We had a bunch done, but all our MU links were wiped away. I just didn't include them in the torrents because those are the "XBox Editions" and since they're meant to direct to XBox FTP after downloading, the WMVs would have ruined that feature if they were included. As far as converting XMV back to WMV, I'm not aware of anyone who has ever done it or even tried it. lol...."MADNAD". Freudian slip? I'm sure he'll release the sources. None of us plan on watermarking anything or holding anything back. We're giving everything up when it's all ready.
  19. Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but when I read it it sounds like "you guys" means my team as well as anyone in here you're fighting with. Say it ain't so...
  20. I wouldn't worry about it too much guys. There has only been one Rx release, and aside from the few people working closely who have had beta versions, Madmab is only now just starting to get the public betas up there, only because I put so many torrents up so quickly. So this has been about 2 years of collaboration and now we're just finally putting out the first release. Word of mouth has yet to spread about any of the Xtras work all that much because, for the most part, the people that now have them don't even have the proper emulators to use them. It will happen soon. On the other hand, BP has at least 4 years of releases behind him and a lot of people who have played his stuff for years. He also puts out a new emulator every two weeks, and unfortunately for most, the channels to get the stuff for it are far from ideal. I've always had to build my romsets for his emus, for example. Also, you always have to wonder if you have the right stuff for the newest emulator, since there is always a new emulator and oftentimes it breaks old games. Even if there are updates to the Madmab Edition emus in the future, all of your old romsets from Rx 1.0 will work with them just fine. The MU links being taken down were a setback to the team, but we still managed to have nearly 20 seeders on the 14GB torrent that was TG16/CD in under a day so the seeders are still getting stuff much more quickly than if there was only one initial seeder with a crappy bandwidth cap. That's okay guys. Leave it alone. Who cares if BP thinks he's got a bigger bulge in his pants? I certainly don't. EDIT: And I guess when I look at it some more, he has earned his rep, good and bad. Perhaps putting out an emu bi-monthly is an eternal get-out-of-jail-free-card for most people, particularly the lurkers who enjoy the product but never or rarely post. Not my style, but I definitely appreciate the merits. Since most people tend to remember only the drama, there's probably a lot of people turned off by my work even before it came out. In my desire to create a perfect set, and the stress that induces, I know I've come off half cocked at least a dozen times or so and that is what people will remember, at least for a little while. I'm hoping the word of mouth is big when everything is fully functional for everyone and that when I step away more people will come to help the rest of you out and then maybe someday all the other people who never speak here will look at the work I did differently than when I talked cocky for nearly 2 years but didn't have much to show anyone for it.
  21. Don't know what you're saying Punika EDIT: Ahhh... just looked it up haha. Did he put those in the instructions already? I haven't looked at any of his instructions yet.
  22. I believe I may know what's happening here. The more and more I think about it, I think the SAVES files may have been a bad idea. They're not necessary for a lot of emulators now with new Madmab changes, and I should probably put up instructions on how to fix things because of them already being included. They definitely don't hurt anything being there, but you have to fix them the right way. I'm assuming that when you fix the game screen size, you're doing it when you play a game, right? The problem is, this only rewrites the individual save of that game. You need to change the setting in the Configuration menus when you're not in a game to fix the screen settings, or even the joystick configs if you wanted them different. When you do it here, the emu will ask you if you want to do this globally to all games. Select yes. With all the saves included, this may take a few minutes, but it will overwrite all games with your own screen settings. Just another little handy feature that we got Madmab to add Later, ~Rx
  23. All of them have been revamped now. There shouldn't be any bad or dead links. If anyone sees anything else, let me know.
  24. Oh.... whoops.... I should probably just delete that link and tell people to click the button. I forgot I had it in two spots, so while all the buttons work the "HERE" links for every one I updated is pointing to Virtual Boy Thanks for the heads up. Oh.... be sure to read the system specific stuff to find out where to put the CD stuff. It's a bit more complicated to how I broke up the artwork from the other ones, but unlike the others, the CDs were nearly 5,000 files on this one and were the things I needed to separate to get it to work.
