Sweet find and nice cover pic. It won't be in Xtras 1.0, but if there is ever a 2.0 it should be in there. It shouldn't be a problem for anybody involved in the project to get the game and the Artwork/vid, etc. in the proper places. Every system's media folder has the same folders inside, so once you know how one of them works, you know how all of them work. When I finally get around to the final things like instructions and the thanks docs, I will be creating an instruction doc for adding games to the Xtras. I'm sure that even with all the great stuff we covered there are some cool little games that were missed. And some obscure things pop up out of nowhere. And we can't forget RH and all of their regular awesome contributions to the scene. That reminds me....... I have to add RH to the temporary thanks section before the Thanks Doc is created. Can't believe I left them out. EDIT: (Not to hijack the thread, but I just noticed I was a Premium Member. Don't know when that happened and I can remember when I had a warn percentage and somebody killed me with their chainsaw after I gave them a pimp smack Honored to be a Premium Member now. Hey BP, Glad to see you're still making progress and getting all that stuff in there. Did you ever get Allowance Mode, or the 2 player alternating to 2 controllers on the retro games yet?

PSX configs will be posted. Everything but the images will be made available for that system. You'll just have to find and rename the images, or rename the Xtras to match the images if you'd prefer. I'm over that HS thing. For sure it was 2 members there that did it. Tough crap for them though. Their stuff is already out there as part of their project and there's nothing they can do to stop it. I've already confirmed that the torrent host won't delete it at their request. Even if they did, we have our own system as a backup. If you or anybody else were interested in getting this put on any private trackers where all the content isn't against the rules, please be my guest. I'd also like to see people put this on Pirate Bay and other public trackers as well. Anyone is free to use my work, put it anywhere, and improve on it. Later, ~Rx

Don't know if we can. It's got my name, but I didn't create the site. I'll have to look into the possibility. That may be more load on the server than we care to have, but maybe it can be capped. It won't be as good an alternative to MU, but if it works it will still be faster than the torrents themselves if the end-user is smart about it. Thanks, ~Rx

The problem is, there is probably no better options.... On face value, MU was the premier site to use. It had a 1GB per file with no limit per user. It also boasts that the links remain indefinetly. Truth be told, since they just deleted everything, they probably did the team a favor by not investigating any links, given that the roms were up there as well. I knew I shouldn't have put them up there, but I got careless. Had the roms not been up there, I'd be fighting tooth and nail to get the links restored. Lesson learned. I highly recommend that EVERYONE stop using file hosting sites for content. Even the "most reliable" ones, are far to easily swayed to trust them with anything important.

I'm always getting something out.... just playing the waiting game with my uberslow connection. We're just going to have to rely a lot more on seeders, and getting stuff in the future won't be nearly as fast. I won't bother trying to get people to put all that stuff back up there as I've lost complete confidence in the company. They didn't investigate a single link, or they would have found that 95% of the stuff was perfectly okay to have there. They just wiped it all away because one person complained. Note to self, don't ever use an online file hosting service for anything important.

I know it wasn't status-x either Just getting the word out that the links no longer work until I sit down and spend an hour taking all of the links down. Meh.... we had a good run anyways. Got a great head start on a ton of content and got it into a lot of other people's hand in record time.

Probably one of the truest posts you've had BP, and just glad to have some solace with somebody who has been through it before. Color me stupid for thinking that people were generally good. I never once thought you did it though, even though others thought you may be behind it. You're an ornery bastard when it comes to your work, but so am I I know you'd never do that to us. Good to hear xboxer And just to be clear, I'm not suggesting anyone here did the bad stuff. I'm positive it didn't come from here. Some people have asked me if I thought it was BP behind it and I've said that I'm 100% sure it's not. We may not get along much, but I believe we respect the hell out of each others work and would never do this to each other.

Somebody trashed all the MU links, so having them as part of the torrent is no longer an option. We had a good run while it lasted...... Haters out there everywhere.... lol I'll eventually get around to removing them from all 24 torrents, and try not to think too hard about the hours I spent setting all of that up on those torrents, and the 2 months that people on my team were working together to get those up for everyone. I hope that those of you who have tried the Xtras already love them and here's hoping some of you decide to continue to seed. Now that we don't have the MU links anymore, the revolutionary aspect of the torrent process is defunkt.

If you're just adding something that was already uploaded in another set and not offering nothing over it with your description they will delete it. Currently, there is a huge torrent that includes all Saturn games. If you're putting one single game up that is available otherwise, with no description of why you're adding it and it's superior to anything people can already add, I don't know what to say man.... I'm pretty tired if being shackled by some of my favorite sites from getting this stuff out everywhere, but I do undesrtand the concern from these sources. The one you're taking about is pretty lenient though. In the 4 years I've been there the only complaint I had was they didn't allow XBox stuff, but on April 1st, 14 days before I originally wanted all of this release, they allowed XBox stuff. It was like destiny, since it's my favorite tracker and we can attribute a lot of the stuff in my packs to what I got there, all in one spot. Give it another chance. Anyone can release any horsehit in other places. They're pretty discerning there of torrents but it's for the benefit of everyone so we don't have a lot of clone BS and other stuff that isn't needed. If your version of the game is better than what's already there, then say why in the description.

seeding your own rar'ed stuff? (Discuss this with me in PM, since I'd like to be aware of what is going on with my stuff. Nothing I can do to stop any of it, but I'd just like to be informed of what's going on) Probably too late to change the title. It's not my website either, though it uses my name. It was created by another great fan of emulation and hopefully can be a meeting ground for a lot of great minds to further the effort after I'm done with 1.0 and move on to other endeavors. We really have a cool setup to do so. It's still in the works, but I think it will revolutionize the process of adding games or updating artwork/videos etc. for all systems. Would have made a lot of my work easier, that's for sure. I think I'd only want people who took the time to read the torrent and see the 20pt font link to the site to go there anyways. What does tagging torrents with your username mean? I've been a member for like 4 years and never heard of that lol. I've got .CUT files representing about 7,000=9,000 games for 18 systems so far. They really look amazing in XBMC using the 3D boxart that Cbagy and Bigby worked on a few weeks ago.

Probably when the Genesis torrent got taken down - also, there more seeders than downloaders so getting your ratio up is fairly hard unless you start torrenting non-Rx stuff. He probably just got the warning message - he'll have 23(?) days or whatever it is to get his ratio up to .3. Maybe I should make a note that you should use the MU links if your ratio sucks. I just figured it was self explanatory. I was only working with half as many people as we had full seeders in just a few days. I'm thinking a lot of people mus have gone the manual route and grabbed the MU links instead of burning their ratio. It's more hands on work, but it's a much quicker way of getting the entire sets.

So are you banned, or did you get a warning?
