  1. 29GB is a lot to go through lol. Good luck man! I'd almost recommend you put the videos on your box too so you can just scroll through and watch them instead of starting each game. It may make it quicker for you.
  2. It's pretty hard to get banned from that site. How did you manage that?
  3. Damn dude.... would love to help you but mid nineties was about three years after I was done with arcade gaming. Good luck figuring it out man... I know how frustrating that can be. It took me a year to find Two Tigers on my own. I kept thinking the name was Dogfight, but that was just one of the modes/battles in the game. Good luck
  4. It's all in good fun. BP is a dickhead. Everyone knows that... even the people who work close to them because they appreciate his work as much as I do AND they were born with different genes and can get along just fine working besides him know what an bugger he is. So am I, so whatever... People who work with me probably know that by now too, although they probably understand my replies better because they're in English. EDIT: Uh-oh BP............ 8 to 5 so far......
  5. Just trying to cover all the bases man..... I should probably update the XS with the finished stuff soon. Just out of my mind at the moment since sites like this and XS are so limited on what you're allowed to post. Dude... for real.... Tell me it isn't cool that you can be seeding a new 9GB torrent you just found out about within a few days with the MU links.
  6. First candidate for the Rx 2.0 guys EDIT: Might as well put the proper stuff for the game in the proper place Cbagy. The MU links already only have what is included in 1.0 for that release. That's what the new spot is for. New adds, and upgrades in quality. Somebody should check romhacking and see if anything has been added in the last 60 days that isn't in the sets too. We should always keep up on romhacking adds. Later, ~Rx
  7. Ah, but if you're granting permission, it's not really stealing then is it? Exactly bud, and that's going to be my excuse when the Fedaralies come knocking at my door. That jury is getting one HUGE Robin Hood card thrown at them. I've never been happy with the prospect of all of my roms or possibly other things being renamed and engulfed by the Umbrella Corporation known as BP Enterprises, but I also know there is nothing I can do to stop it once they're out there. I can't tell you how many countless sources I've "stolen" from to get this all put together (although I will try very hard to in the "Thanks" doc, that I have yet to make and put on the releases). I'm just hoping that the fact that I did all of this with my free time for ZERO dollars is enough to exonerate me if push ever comes to shove.... Just letting it be known that I won't be sore about it as long as credit is given where it's due. BP's team and mine are truly making video game history here. I just want the history books to read right. Later, ~Rx
  8. You guys have permission to steal my stuff now that it's up. Just be sure to give a shout out when you do.
  9. This took a TON of effort on my part, but I managed to figure out a way to do part of the media folders at a time so we could have several torrents for the big systems, and not have any files zipped. Once you get them set up for seeding/downloading, you'll never have to remove them. You'll be able to FTP to as many boxes as you want and never have to break the seed. 2 torrents for Genesis and SNES.... 3 torrents for NES & GB/GBC/GBA 1st torrent for all 4 is ALL Media except for the Artwork. Simply point the download to your media folder for those systems. 2nd torrent for Genesis and SNES is ALL Artwork. Simply point the torrent to the artwork folder for that system. 2nd & 3rd torrents for NES & GBA are ALL Artwork split into two uploads. Simply point both torrents to the Artwork folder for each system. Mods at the site couldn't help, unfortunately. My torrents except for NES and GBA should have been small enough to work without splitting them up at all, but they kept erroring out. Lenk mentioned that it may be because of how many directories and sub directories are in them, and how long the names are for these directories. It seems that I could get about 7,000-9,000 files in a single torrent, most of the time. Anyways... this is the best solution for keeping the torrents seedable so nobody has to be unzipping things and ditching the torrent when they're at 100%. Instead of 18torrents, there are now 24 because of this. PCE & PSX are all that's left out of what I covered for XPORT emus.... as well as Sega CD games. It will probably be several weeks before you see anything for any of those 3. Got a lot of behind the scenes prepwork to do on that so I'm not the only guy seeding when they come out. I'm still way to busy uploading all the backup WMV's and a bunch of other stuff so I wouldnt' be able to seed those torrents at all yet and they'd just sit there forever unfinished. Later, ~Rx
  10. Nothing is zipped because people will just delete the zips when they get their XBox set up. These sets are meant to be perfect direct-to-box sets that serve as a backup on the PC so there is no reason to stop seeding.
  11. Sorry about that. I shouldn't have removed that Genesis Torrent without being sure I could fix it right away. I'm working with some people trying to figure it out. The problem is the torrent file is too large with the artwork added. It SHOULD be possible for at least SNES and Genesis to be put up there correctly when I get a good moderators help. I don't know if the SNES or GBA will be able to be put up there as neatly as the rest of them. If your ratio is hurting, you can use the MU links provided for all of the torrents in the future before you start the torrent. It's more work, but it's why my team went to the trouble of doing them and it's why I went through the massive effort of putting them all up there. It's also why there are already 27 seeders for the 2.5GB 2600 at 100% in less than 2 days. The way that I've set up things nobody should have any trouble with ratios if they put a little effort into it. The reason why you're not getting any upload credit is a ton of people already used the links and aren't relying on your upload. In the mean time, if you need some upload credit, I'd suggest that you get a popular PSX game like Castlevania SOTN or something. Those seem to always be downloaded and it's how I gave myself a great buffer. I'm working on solutions for Genesis, SNES, NES & GBA now. I'm hoping to have them up soon. Everything else is pretty much up, as far as the systems that I put together that use XPORT emus. EDIT: Be sure to keep whatever you had for Genesis as it will work perfect with the new upload. Nothing is changing except the artwork being added, so you'll be able to pick up where you left off when it's up. EDIT 2: Not sure when the Madmab Edition XPORT updates will be ready. That's not my department. I know that madmab has just squashed the last few bugs that I'm aware of. I'm not sure if he still is going to add a feature or two before release. I'm hoping he gets the emu to play the "TV static" video for any missing videos before release. There are a few non-working games in the Xtras that videos couldn't be made for, so it would be cool to have that for that reason. Otherwise, it's really just a novelty feature if you have the full Rx sets.
  12. (Extra) is kinda non-intuitive. They're going to think there is more levels instead of a 4 player version over the 2 player. I've personally never even seen a 2 player machine, so I know that's what I would think.
  13. I asked 3 questions. I have no clue what you answered yes to.
  14. So... Have you fixed those names? Will all the roms that worked in R5 work in R8? EDIT: Will you ever have your team make an easy to get and configure set in the future?
  15. Hehe... thanks man! Most of my group avoids this place like the plague
  16. You should have your people use my model as a go-to source for release. No offence, but nobody I know has been able to get a hold of any of your "full builds" in the last few years besides 1 or 2. I'd like to add R7 or R8 in my set because it fixes some pixel stuff, but I won't be adding it if it will break games I'm including and there is no alternate source to find the good versions.
  17. Did you fix TMNT 1 & 2, and Simpsons to distinguish between 2 and 4 player games? I may use R8 or whatever you're on when I release the emu torrent, assuming that all the arcade roms that worked in R5 still work in R8 without any changes.
  18. Glad you've been following it man and I'm VERY glad to finally be getting this stuff out there after making promises for almost 2 years I hit a few snags, but hopefully they're temporary..... The Genesis torrent is already removed (which I wish I hadn't done because I can't get the good one uploaded at the moment) and the LYNX torrent will be replaced in the future. I was testing something out with GBA and didn't realize I still had "Skip Files" set to "*.png" so there were no Artwork folders in the t0rrent for these sets. Adding the Artwork folder added over 400KB to the torrent file and nearly 6,000 files total to the torrent. Supposedly the site can handle torrent files up to 900KB or so, but I've tried for a few hours to get the new Genesis up and it won't work (at only 678KB). I'm trying to discuss this with mods to see what can be done about it. I also see in previous posts that the mods can UP the allowed size temporarily, so hopefully when we figure out why Genesis won't upload we can get a lift so the 1.35MB GBA torrent will load without any problems. Suggestions I've been given so far is to split up the downloads and to zip up the files before uploading. These are both totally unacceptable to me, since this is designed to be a perfect download where there is no unzipping and renaming and people will continue to seed to help their ratio because it is a perfect backup of their own XBox configuration. Far less people will continue to seed if it means they have to have a zipped set and an unzipped set just so they can keep seeding. Sorry about the delays. I was skeptical that I could make one torrent with everything, but I wasn't anticipating having problems uploading individual systems. I'm hoping we can get it worked out soon. EDIT: On a positive note, most of my torrents that are up have 20 or more seeders at 100% in just over 1 day That's especially impressive, considering that, before I deleted it, the Genesis torrent was about 8GB!
  19. Don't ignore dark's suggestion because I'm here BP..... I'm sure you're already working on it though because it would be obvious for anyone working with more than 4,096 games in a single emu
  20. Yep... for every extra folder needed for your roms, you will also need extra folders for videos, screenshots and any other media used in the newer versions of CoinOPS.
  21. Rumor has it that there may be some unpolished betas up on that site if you just can't wait for the finished project. I haven't looked at them personally, but my guess is that they'd just have the newest XBE files and the fixed-width.ttf font for properly viewing the Game FAQs. I didn't add any links to them because they're very unofficial at this point. You'd proabably just have to copy them over your current XBEs and reload the ini files in the emu and set it up from scratch for it all to work properly. Shhhhhhhhh.... don't tell anyone I told you.
  22. I'm not looking to get rid of you BP. Just thought I'd get some finished stuff out there to make you shut yer hole about my team. Thanks for inspiring me to actually go forward with the bits that I know are 100% ready. How's that for something awesome so far? Doing good? We got a bunch of 100% seeders on the collections that are up so far and by the end of the week there will be tons more I'm sure. Seems like everyone is loving them. I think putting the MU links to the exact files makes completing the torrents a TON quicker and is overall just a really nice touch. When you're much closer to finishing romsets, I would suggest that you should consider having your team do that with your stuff in the future as well. Also, putting them where I did means that you'll likely have seeders for it forever, as long as a new version doesn't come out every 2 weeks, that is. I have some arcade torrents up there from nearly 3 years ago that I haven't seeded for about 6 months now (because they're now outdated) that still have 5 and 15 seeders a piece. Anyways.... Good luck to you and your team with your project. I'm just about done with mine and I'm getting ready to move on. I hope people push this forward and show me an awesome Rx 2.0 in a year or two. Later, ~Rx
  23. It's not a dumb question. The file limitations are the same on one folder for the XBox no matter what types of files they are. Great suggestion.
  24. They're not legal to post on XBscene and only one emu is up there now I believe. The NES emu. I haven't gotten to the NES Xtras yet. This stuff is mostly usable in the old XPORT emus, but you'll need Madmab's public betas to use them to their fullest. He's still squashing some last minute bugs and adding a few new features before release. But it should be soon. In the mean time, get the stuff on PC and Box and help seed.
