  1. Just wrapped up the 200+ missing Atari 2600 videos and did 408 Gameboy Advance Synopsis entries in the last 3 days.....
  2. Oh... thought I should add that there is an NES beta released so you can use the NES Xtras as soon as I release the updates.
  3. I'm all about compatibility lists man. Too bad I'm really wrapped up in the whole Console emulation thing right now. I have a compatibility list for MAME, but it's old. I don't even remember which name BP was using for the emulator back when I tested stuff out. I could probably upload it if anyone were interested. Send me a PM if you are to remind me. It would have to be updated.... games would have to be added and status would change on a lot of them. But the basic framework is there.
  4. C'mon BP... show some love. You got so much to offer the scene. Do what I know you can do. Stop piling on that hate that you bring to yourself.
  5. We're so close to finishing all of the major console emulators now that I'd really like to just start putting them all together when they're all ready. That way, there will be time for people to add higher quality videos like cbagy has been doing and MM? plans to do for SNES. Also, we're still missing about 250+ videos for the 3 gameboy systems still, , and quite a few for Atari 2600 and Atari 800, so I'd like to have those done as well. Really, it's not a lot of videos that still need to be done compared to the thousands that XBscene members have contributed on top of the even more thousands that were acquired from emumovies. In the mean time, I'm still in the process of upgrading artwork for all of the systems, and although I control a lot of the speed of this process myself, there are quite a few things I'm still waiting on from other people before I can finish them. My statement on releasing these things so soon only really occured after I was able to single handedly complete the synopsis work for the Gameboy and Gameboy Color within 3 1/2 days. I never imagined I could do it, but I really upped the concentration level to get that done. Really, the only synopsis work that needs to be done now besides the occasional add that somebody lets me know about is the Gameboy Advance which stands at over 1,000 roms on its own. I'm actually hoping to have everything released in late February or early March. I'm fairly confident that I can get everything on my end done in that time frame the way things have been going, but we've got the holidays ahead of us and a large part of what still needs to be done is dependent on how quickly contributors can get their end of the work done. Working as fast as I can. Trust me..... nobody wants this project completed more than me. I work probably twice as many hours on this project now as I do my paying job. I need some sunlight this spring/summer. Later, ~Rx
  6. Good question and good point. I think the team has some deciding to do before this all comes out. It's amazing to me that I might actually be done with my end first. I've really stepped up production on my end. Unfortunately, I know very little about coding. Probably not enough even to help madmab out. Sure wish we had somebody around with the skills to help him out. I know he's a lot more busy than I am. ~Rx
  7. Gameboy synopsis, testing and artwork and videos about 98% complete. Gameboy Color testing and artwork about 90% complete, while the synopsis is finished through the letter R. We need about 50 more videos. All that's left is Gameboy Advance. I'm going to work on testing, artwork and synopsis. Is anyone interested in making some of the missing videos? I'd like to get the Gameboy Xtras out in Feb or March with the huge Xtras update. Thanks, ~Rx EDIT: There's about 200 or 300 Gameboy Advance videos that still need to be made.
  8. Think that's a new record.... Got the US Gameboy synopsis done in under 24 hours. That's nearly 550 roms.
  9. Wait.... You want to delete the post that I've replied on already? EDIT: Don't mind the idiot (me). This is the post you're looking to delete.
  10. Great post. Anybody interested in plugging in the current versions and keeping it up to date?
  11. Yeah. I just found this on the other forum myself about 2 hours ago. Great project and they seem to be very far along on it already. Can't wait to see the finished project.
  12. Hey BP, Just wondering if there was any progress on the "Allowance Mode" or alternating controllers on the 2 player alternating games? If not, would you need help from people here to test things for you?
  13. Chit happens bro. That's why I'm still rockin' the NES and Windows 3.1. Still waiting for the go ahead for the SNES and Windows '95. Let the guys who wait in line at Apple stores for an iPod work out the kinks. Quad-core, Ha! I'm perfectly fine with my 486, thank you very much.
  14. Ahhhh... gotcha.... I just don't know what you're referring to then. I already drank away the memory of my long post and my conscious stream of thought.
  15. Is that some UK slang I don't get man? Or am I just dumb. Really, it could be either or both.
  16. C'mon Inky.... 5300 some odd posts into this and that's all the love you can muster for the site?
  17. I do appreciate your point of view on this + T +, but I'd really like it pointed out where I really did anything but keep the other side replying more. Have I really said anything offensive myself? Aside from all of that, I'm a fan of free speech and just turning off the station if you don't want to listen to it anymore. I'm only aware of this thread and one on XBscene. From your post, I get that this kind of stuff has been happening here quite frequently recently. I'd just like to remind you that until yesterday I was no part of it here and would like to say that just because I'm making a "name" for myself this late in the scene I should not be lumped in with people who should be barred from speaking after a day or so of this. I haven't even been around these parts for a long time largely. If you actually read the thread that originated this, my first post, second post, third post, fourth post and fifth post was defending the guy from other people who were ganging up on him, as I've done several times before on the xb and other forums. I know he's got a lot of ill will all over, but I respect his work. It's no secret I can't work with the guy, but he's a freakin genius. Truth is, he likes to fight. He's even admitted he pretty much filters out the good folk because he finds them boring. This is what keeps him interested. Fighting. C'mon T.... look at his history. Dude just loves to fight. Anyways..... I got nothing but respect for the guy's mind and coding skills. It's his attitude and writing ability that get under my skin and at sometimes just creep me out. But he's been out of my forums, and I promised to stay out of his forums. I just don't want to be hearing second hand about any more threads he's starting anywhere putting me in a pissing contest that I didn't sign up for. I'd love to be buds with him and get along, but it's impossible. I'm not gonna say "yes massa" to him, and that's all he really leads on that he wants. Regards, ~Rx
  18. It is very gratifying actually. Until recently, I've kept this to myself as far as friends and family for years except for my brother. We had a poker game a few weeks ago though and my old supervisor was blown away by what I showed him and said he'd have to get me a couple of hundred bucks for one. I told him that I plan on giving one to my friends when I'm done and for 5 years he'd been a great boss and friend to me and he doesn't know it but he's on that list. Wish he was still the Sup.... too many things are changing too quickly. It's just cool seeing somebody's reaction to this outside of my own. I've been living with these changes as they've happened and it doesn't have as big an effect on me one minuscule bit at a time as it would if somebody popped this stuff off on me all at once. It's kind of a bummer when I have to re-do things like I'm re-doing the Boxart now, but once I've resigned myself to doing it and I start seeing how much more amazing the changes look to what we had before I think it's totally worth it. Really, with a good set like HyperSpin it's not so bad. Also MM?, pCe and others have taken it upon themselves to collect, crop and convert many of thecoverproject's images so they're just as easy to work with. I'd say, all in all, with a boxart set of around 800 images, it only takes me about 10 hours to integrate them into the set. I do thourough checks between this new artwork and my own collection before adding each individual picture to assure the highest quality all around. (If you're going to do it, do it right.... right?) The big time waster is touching up boxart myself. (It's really kind of therapeutic though). I'm not a graphic artist by any means, but I have to admit that I'm very pleased with the work I've done on my front with this. Somebody may say they can do better though and I welcome it. I'm never opposed to adding higher quality artwork than what we already have and that includes anything I've worked on on my own. It's just cool going through the Atari 2600 boxart now and not seeing a beat up box every 8 images, or ones with stickers on them. Thanks for upgrading the videos for Genesis Cbagy. Those were definately the worst batch in the entire set at the moment and your videos are some top notch additions that I'm proud to make a part of the Xtras. They really look great on the bigscreen TV. Thanks of course to everyone who has helped. There are so many names that I can't keep them all straight now, but that's what the spreadsheets are for. Also, in the end if I forget anyone I implore you to call me out either in my thread or in a PM letting me know that you did something and you didn't get credit for it. Sure... I want my friends to be blown away by this work since they've been wondering just what the hell I've been obsessing over the last 3 or 4 years (the last year and a half especially), and I really want them to think that it's something great. As far as internet glory.... yeah, it would be kind of cool seeing "RessurectionXtras" become a hit and even make the leap to other platforms one day, but in the end I love my anonymity far more than any kudos for this project beyond my own personal real life loved ones. I really mean it when I say "we're OCD so you don't have to be". Like Monk said.... it's a blessing and a curse... and a blessing..... and a curse..... and a blessing..... I hope the first OCD guy or gal who stumbles upon our work when this is completed uses it, loves it, and moves on. I'm sure there are much more valuable things that somebody with a mind like mine could be doing with their time. The way I figure it is if 100 OCD people were to acquire and use these sets in the end, I've just freed up 400 or 500 years of peoples lives that would be better spent. Here's hoping that they're good guys and working on fixing the world and not dark hearts that the world would have been better off if they were busy working on this themselves alone for the next 20 years. Thanks for being interested Cbagy. Ain't it funny how we were beating each other up about 5 weeks ago and we're buds now? Ahhhhhhhh... reminds me of my frequent high school bouts. Not a bad way to make friends, I'd say. Glad to have you on board bud
  19. Working on it as hard as we can man. No promises on even the dates I've tentatively set for late Feb, early March. I don't need to use your desire for movement or anyone elses desire to get this done. Rest assured that thousands of minor things, possibly in the tens of thousands sometimes, are happening each and every week. I'm seriously, majorly OCD like that. My desire to finish my work before my 31st birthday trumps any outside pressure. There is nobody in the world who wants the Xtras project to be done more than its creator. I don't think my liver can survive another year of the alcohol consumption that is necessary to do these monotonous tasks day in and day out.
  20. No. Actually, there are only a few that don't mind altercation like I do. Cbagy for instance. I know Madmab doesn't come storming your threads, nor does Gilles or Horscht or, as you said MegaMan(?) or many others who prefer just to help out and not get themselves involved in this BS. Stay on this side of the fence, and don't use my name in your posts and I'll do the same. Like I said before, time and again, I'm the ONLY one who seems to come to your defence when you're being attacked, and this is how I get repaid, time and again. If you decide to come back, next time I'll feed you to the wolves. I'd really prefer if you didn't though. I think you're a genius, and I love CoinOPS.... but I truly think you are the most annoyingly perplexing human being I've ever met, and I really don't have time for your games.
  21. Hell no I didn't. If I knew I'd still be doing this at 30 when I first bought that Box from my brother when I just turned 27 I would have thrown that Box into the abyss before ever modding it. It eats up such a large portion of my life now. That's a really good question though man. I'm surprised nobody ever asked me that before. Actually, it was a very small project at first. I figured I'd just do title shots for all of the games for NES, SNES & Genesis. I was just testing all the games I could, making a title shot if they worked and deleting the game if it didn't. There was no documentation and no plans at all to do anything public at that time. Somewhere along the line I decided I wanted boxart and action shots as well, and possibly carts when I could find them. It wasn't until NES got video previews working on the ZSNESXBox that I decided that I had to have them and Horscht, a few others and I worked together testing and making videos for that system. Gilles and Madmab came up with the synopsis idea and that project has just gotten out of control from there. I'm able to crank them out so much quicker than we originally were doing and it's a great way for me to verify that I have all the roms in the correct categories along the way. Can't remember when I decided to do the other systems, but somewhere along the line I decided that I would do this job until every console emulator supported by XPORT would have full Xtras and synopsis. Thanks to you and all of the others who have in the past and currently are helping make that dream come true, and are constantly working to improve all aspects as we go along.
  22. I hear ya man. I gotta hear from some people that somehow my name is being brought up on a forum that I rarely visit anymore. I agree not to post anywhere on this forum except for my single thread here, if BP promises to not post on Xbox-scene anymore, or at the very least resigns himself to only posting on one like thread over there. My people are pretty tired of this Mickey Mouse bullshit too.
  23. Oh.... I see now. You're a video producer. Good for you BP! I thought you were only talking about MAME videos, since MAME has been your only MO since I've met you. So.... Console videos will be your next venture then, is it? Excellent! Just be aware that you have about 10 or 11 THOUSAND more videos to re-create at a higher definition if you want to replace everything I've collected so far, and all the thousands of additional videos that have been created by my team that were previously unavailable. Also be aware, that with all the people helping me on my project (some of them who are quite friendly) that I have no doubt that any videos you create and share anywhere on the internet will make it into my set in the end if they are in-fact the highest quality videos out there. Good luck, Producer BP. I look forward to having your high quality videos in my pack. I can only work with what is currently available since I am a tester, gatherer, organizer and leader. I am not a video producer. Regards, ~Rx P.S. If you want to be more accurate about the quality currently of the videos in my set, I would ask that you choose another system..... any other system than the Genesis. For some reason, as cbagy pointed out to me over a month ago, the Genesis videos are sub par compared to the other systems. This will be fixed eventually though since Cbagy has already replaced hundreds of the lower quality emumovies videos. Thanks for trying to drag my name through the mud though. I'm not worried. My name's coated with Teflon.
  24. Just wondering what made any MAME videos "My" videos? Those were just vids I pulled off there server and wasted a lot of time sending your way a few months ago because you asked me for them. What-ev.... Of course I'm going to use the higher quality videos where available, and I've already acquired them and just need to get them on my MAME setup whenever I get to MAME. Of note to everyone here, those higher quality "Showcase" videos weren't created by you either and we both got them from the exact same source. I do appreciate your keeping your negativity on these boards though BP. Like I said the last few days, I've been the only one out of a mob that had your back, and you bit my had for it. Two times. Please keep your stuff on these forums, as apparently you delight in fighting with everyone on my forums. We both have plenty of work to do, and this childishness is getting old pretty quick, and it's distracting my people from the productivity we've enjoyed as a team for going on 16 months now. Thanks, and regards, ~Rx
