Dude, their lives are ruined and all you're thinking about reduced resource consumption? There are many bed effects because of this. Crops and fishing piers and other buildings0 are ruined which means people's livelihoods are gone which will affect each country's economy. People are homeless so reconstruction will take a lot of money. Everything affects everything.

Well earthquakes are sudden but there should have been warning systems in place that would have let people evacuate from the coasts.

The only thing I'm a bit iffy about is the processor, there are many faster ones out there. But I think for that price, you can't beat it.
