  1. On the same topic, is there a program (preferably free) that does the same for mpegs?
  2. My first IBM PC came about 10 years ago, after my Amiga monitor blew up. The PC came with Windows 95. And I was really rapt because I was the only one amongst my peers that had Microsoft Plus, which added cool and funky themes! I was the envy of all my friends with that. The rig was: Cyrix x686 200mhz - which was ultra fast back then 32 meg RAM 4.3 gig hard drive - which was massive! 16 speed CD ROM 2 meg S3 trio video card Oh, the days! I was so excited with my new PC - it was like a new world opening! I spent hours playing Doom, Quake, Interstate 76, Need for Speed II (which I thought had awesome graphics and music!!!), Tyrian (which was an amazing shooter, I concur), Raptor, Diablo, Starcraft, Crusader: No Regret (BLOW UP STUFF! BLOW UP EVERYTHING!), Road Rash and more. And Windows 95 was great. I admit that I love bagging Microsoft, but I found it to be a solid and reliable product.
  3. RIP - I love people who follow their heart in life, and he obviously did. With all due respect, considering he was so overweight and loved to eat, I think he did pretty well to make it to 71, while maintaining the singing.
  4. I thought the Chaser's stunt was great. They managed to get through two roadblocks with fake IDs that read "insecurity" and "this is obviously a fake ID," using cars marked with "property of the Chaser." No to mention that the motorcade was under the Canadian flag, but patrols were oblivious to the fact that Canada was not attending APEC. (Yes, that's APEC, not OPEC.) They should have never have made it past that first roadblock, and it wasn't even their intention to do so. In a way, they helped security forces out by showing them that they could be compromised. An embarrassing way to do it, though!
  5. I think we are all mature enough to do without it.
  6. I saw it too, through the binoculars. When it was completely red, it looked alot like Mars from Doom 3's menu screen. And then it just got more freaky. The red started to drain away towards the top of the moon, the middle third was covered in shadow, and the bottom third was a bright, luminous white. It was awesome! I reckon lots of psychos were howling at it!! AAAAOOOOOOOOGAHHH!
  7. I tried to play the game on PC. It didn't have an "invert mouse" option (I always invert the mouse in games, it feels more natural for me). In fact, the game didn't have many options at all. I gave up very quickly. I just couldn't play it with a backwards moving mouse.
  8. Nothing against fat people...but Bob looks pathetic. And his name is dumb. And his backstory sounds like it was made up by a 6 year old. Bob reminds me of that fat guy in Real Bout Fatal Fury. But Bob looks worse. Namco, what the hell are you doing?
  9. I am a lonely guy yes. But I am used to it, and I honestly like my own company. I put that down to being an only child. There are many times when I enjoy being alone, doing whatever I want to do, and not worrying about much else. I honestly feel sorry for those ultra-extroverts who can't be by themselves and enjoy their own company for 30 seconds or longer - they are missing out! The yearning for a romantic relationship only comes every now and then. It is not all that often, which is abit weird, considering that I am a romantic and passionate type of guy. But it's the horniness that is the worst part of being lonely - I am always horny, but being single, I do not always have an outlet. And going hard on the joystick while watching freshly downloaded movies from the net is no longer an outlet for me. That gets old quite quickly. Oops, I revealed too much.
  10. Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff It's their only good song.
  11. I loved MK as a kid. Honestly, I was the biggest MK fan on the planet. My whole life was Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat, and more Mortal Kombat. It kinda makes me cringe at my geekdom when I look back on those youthful years. I will agree that Mortal Kombat games had some of the cheapest AI on the planet. Such as running into you out of nowhere and performing an 8 hit combo. Or throwing you. Or, my personal pet peeve - jumping at your opponent, only to have s/he run a short distance, jump straight up and intercept you in the air. No human player could do that, or would do that. I will agree that MK2 was the best one. But I have great memories of all Mortal Kombats up to and including 4. I didn't think 4 was that bad - it was a basic first step into 3d. I liked how Midway got the jumping in Mortal Kombat 4 right - in all other 3d games at the time, when you jumped it felt like you were floating in the air. They were great games. Mortal Kombat was perhaps not as deep as Street Fighter or King of Fighters, but still demanded that you played with skill. And of course, the visceral delights in the game were brutally satisfying, too. I haven't played much of the new ones, so I can't comment. And I agree that Trilogy was just a cheaply done hodge-podge. I also felt 50-50ish about MK3, but then UMK3 came out. I felt that UMK3 was the game that MK3 was supposed to be.
  12. It sounds to me that you have looked forward to your time off, but now you have nothing to do. That happens alot. We look forward to a break from school or work, and then when it finally comes we might feel relaxed, but we become abit lost in the lack of anything to participate in. We miss how, when we were working, we were achieving, even though it was costing us blood, sweat, and tears. My only advice is to do something on your days off. Go somewhere you have never been before, draw a picture or write something creative, go shopping, go talk to relatives you haven't spoken to inawhile, go out on the town, and so on. Just do something. Make your R & R time worth something, instead of it being filled with slothful nothing.
  13. I kinda liked Zero Wing, too. My classic Mega Drive Games would be: Streets of Rage II and III, Skitchin', Toejam and Earl, Splatterhouse 2 & 3, Robocop vs Terminator and Castlevania: Bloodlines. Streets of Rage II is probably my favourite out of those.
  14. I liked System Shock 2 alot, and I liked Looking Glass alot as well (they made my favourite trilogy of games: Thief), so I am looking forward to this release.
  15. That does look moderately cool. I'm hoping this will be a good film, because I used to love the comic.
  16. I'm not liking how the Protoss units shown here resemble Warcraft III units so much... The Viking and the Thor both looked cool. But where are the Zerg?
  17. I liked the soundtrack so much that I got abit upset when a record of the official score was most heinously used as a weapon against zombies in Shaun of the Dead!
  18. Most definately the first one. I don't think much of the others, although Batman Begins was a solid effort. But the first one was just a classic...it was so dark, with Gotham city perfectly portrayed in my opinion. It highlighted Bruce Wayne's life and past without being overly sentimental, the soundtrack by Danny Elfman was a masterpiece unto itself (Descent into Mystery is 1.32 minutes of musical nirvana). The Batmobile was and still is the coolest of all the Batmobiles, the high flying action was great, and the cast was perfectly picked - Michael Keaton was very convincing as the troubled hero, Kim Bassinger was hot as Vicki Vale, and Jack Nicholson was wonderful as the psychopathic Joker! ("He took my balloons," he says, then he asks his right hand man for his pistol and promptly shoots him with it.) It's one of my favourite movies. The intro still sends shivers up my spine.
  19. Why people decide to run in front of a herd of bulls is anyone's guess.
  20. Why did you change your name, K'Dash? I miss Random Guy. And his amazing flamewar. That was cringe-worthy. Incredible. Speaking of name changes, when I started here my name was Basara - after the character in Samurai Shodown 4.
  21. Ah...that sucks. Hope you can find some way, mate.
  22. I am from 03...I remember those days. They were great.
  23. Did your phone come with a cable that links your PC (USB port) to the phone? That's how transfer stuff for my Motorola E398. Mind you, I had to specifically ask for the cable.
