Sword summoning lolibot? Damn, need to get BlazBlue and a console that runs it. Well, given that Daisuke Ishiwatari and a good number of folks behind it are the same ones that pull the strings behind Guilty Gear, the character designs are off the wall.

Depends on the game, really and how rigorously game servers scan for modified executables. Unreal Tournament 2004 for example has a patch that enables online play even with an cracked copy of the game. Then again, UT2004 is quite an old game, and AFAIK, most PC games with online components these days fall under the Games for Windows [Live whatever] brand.

All the more reason to use modified executables from crack groups.

And the fallout would taint the land and the people for hundreds of years to come.

Resident evil 5 due on PC Just one QUESTION!
Agozer replied to emsley's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Yeah, Mercenaries has been godlike ever since it appeared in a RE game. Resident Evil 4 Mercenaries is some seriously twitchy fun. Nothing like a broken neck ballet with Hunk in a rural village somewhere in Spain. I imagine it's the same in RE5. -
I don't think there are programs that would do both registry cleaning and directory removal, but I would like to be proven wrong. Most games and applications that install stuff somewhere else that the specified install directory put their stuff in the Documents and Settings/User or All users directories, so it's pretty easy just to go through those and delete unwanted stuff. Then just run a registry cleaner program afterwards. That's what I often do anyways.

Mr. G's choice was solely the result of my actions in this otherwise very monotonous thread.

I urge you to try FBA Shuffle (or just the plain FBA for your Neo-Geo needs, as it is faster than MAME and uses the same sets). Is there a reason you're using MAME Plus Plus? To my understanding that particular build hasn't been updated in ages. That might be the reason why you're having problems. MAME Plus! would be a much more sensible option if you must use MAME, but that's just me. The Universe BIOS bypasses all other machine configurations that have been set by the emulator and uses its own (so if Universe BIOS says that the Neo-Geo is running in European Arcade mode, then that's what the emulator is emulating). You change the BIOS options by going to the Universe BIOS menu (hold A+B+C during boot, IIRC) and make the changes, then exit. P.S. The Neo-Geo console mode is AES. The arcade is MVS, respectively.

Street Fighter 4 on PC STEAM Weekend Deal $20 USD!
Agozer replied to Alpha's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Is the PC version actually any good? I'm asking because Capcom is notorious for sub-par PC ports of their console games. -
Tension is actually very damn useful in many boss fights as it exponentially increases the damage output of your next attack. True, you need to waste a turn charging, but that's not such a big deal. Well, many enemies and bosses have attacks that decrease or nullify the Tension you stocked, so it's a bit of a double-edged sword. 100 Tension occurs once every blue moon after you've tried to increase it from 75. Yeah, all characters to like quadruple or more damage during their Super Saiyan mode (I use that name because the Hero looks just like Goku when you know what happens )

Yeah, I've had the ship for a while now. Certainly give you more places to search (and accidentally stumble onto some island populated with enemies several dozen levels above you, murderizing your party). I haven't managed to kill a Metal Slime I read that there's a trick to it, but I forget. Those are so damn rare monsters, too It's great how almost every enemy in the game has some kind of a joke move that will waste one of their turns. Like the calamari kids starting to doodle mid-fight or when their mother calls them for dinner. Or when the different cat enemies roll on their back, acting playful. Or when the buff dudes waste a turn flexing their pectorals. Lot's of enemies like that yeah. Also a nice game mechanic is the random Super Saiyan mode when you get that magical 100 Tension.

Yeah, I read about tis a few days ago, and that's just plain stupid. This should have been done before the game was released. Oh so now that consoles have Internet connection and all kinds of hoo-hah it's ok to start putting out inferior products and then just release patches like they've done for ages in the PC front? As a last-generation console gamer, seeing stuff like this is inexcusable.

The name of Cloud's sword in Advent Children?

Gravedigging is not tolerated. -
I haven't played DQVIII for quite a while now, but I'm clocking over 50 hours and it feels that I'm not even half way through the game. Seriously, the game world is massive area-wise, and it certainly takes a while to explore nooks and crannies just to find those lone treasure chests. The game doesn't take itself too seriously either; the bosses are quite the personalities.

I wouldn't be too surprised if there's an extension that does what you want. -
The PS3 Slim. To balance this thread a little.

When you do get a new laptop, don't accept anything that doesn't use a high-end ATI Mobility Radeon or an Nvidia GeForce Go.

run a chankast disk with daemeon tools
Agozer replied to meterking's topic in DreamCast & Saturn Emulators [/pc/dc+saturn]
I alresdy recognized the "musicdisc" problem in the first paragraph of my post. So to reiterate: Either the game is not selfboot, which means that you need to get a bootdisc in order to get it to run. Chankast's disc detection routines (or rather, problems working with Daemon Tools) are acting up again. There is no way to fix this other than to use DT 3.29 and even then getting the game to boot is not guaranteed. -
lol, "real job" Nasty stuff.

Just updated my blog. Read it if you find the time.

Heh, I came to the realization not long ago that I still have this blog thing here on 1Emulation. Might as well give the n+1 people who occasionally glance this way an update of sorts. I'm starting work on my bachelor's thesis as soon as I've submitted my topic and it's been officially approved. I'm extremely lazy regarding the entry above, but I promise that I'll finish it. Still haven't been able to find a job, but at least my students aid from KELA (Finnish Social Insurance Institution, more or less) keeps me going for a while. Also, living at home is the way to go, taking into account the overall state of the economy and employment figures. I've had my own apartment for several years now, but I rented it. Keeps some cash flowing in, as well. Currenly €820/month (That's roughly $1170) with 45m2 worth of space (that's roughly 484ft2). Mana Khemia 2: The Fall of Alchemy was just released a few days ago for the PS2. I'm hoping to give it ago tonight Being a PS2 collector of some caliber, my collection now numbers around 128 original PAL releases + 20-something backups. I'm not a "must collect everything" kind of a collector; just collecting the games that are truly worth a look and worth my time. Also, no GTA or FPSes because those work fine on the PC, too. Finally, sports games are a no, unless a sports game has an arcade touch (i.e. Burnout Revenge, Everybody's Golf, etc). Silent Hill: Shattered memories will be released for both the Wii and the PS2 in a few months. It's a re-telling and re-imagining of the first SH game. Can't wait. Been listening to the Street Fighter IV soundtrack a lot lately. Great stuff. And finally, give Poets of the Fall a listen on YouTube. That's it. I'm out. Laters.
