    Is the Trillians main window (Contact List) visible? If it is, are any of the colored dots at the bottom greyed out or not? If they are, go to File --> Connection Manager and connect to the services you want. Then start adding contacts.

    Check the DAT manually and double check all the filenames, CRC values and filesizes. Z80 error usually refers to an encrypted or a borked M1 rom. Or, you don' have the correct GfxKey if the set is encrypted.

    Open the set (zip) in WinZip or some other similar program and look at the CRC column. If that column is not there, you can make ift visible from the preferences.
