  1. if you ahve your port blocked you should be fine... having numbers on there means that the software is doing its job. I would invest in a router though, as a hardware firewall is better at blocking incoming connections. You could probably also look into getting monitoring software to see what your PC is actually doing when your HD is thrashing. Task manager can sorta be set up to give you a general idea as well....
  2. hmm, that works. I think I'll go with your answer ;p
  3. *whap!* 3 was awesome... how dare you call it disappointing > okok... Vader's "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" at the end was really corny... but the rest was win. wait... what?! O.O

  6. Everyone kept typing "Strar" was the title of the thread fixed from that??? I don't get it. And stop confusing my girl. And I don't believe anyone who says they don't know what Star Wars is. It's damn near impossible! Star Wars is EVERYWHERE originally it was a typo in the topic title, but it seems to be fixed now, rendering the joke useless... ;/

  11. you don't need to install drivers for RAM ;p however, if you do install more than 4GB, you'll need a 64-bit operating system in order to utilize all of it
  12. duly noted. I cut the file image size by more than half
  13. change the file system to FAT32 ;p
  14. it could be a few things: 1. Wake on LAN... that's a BIOS setting, turn it off 2. "last power state." this BIOS setting sets the state of the PC when AC power is restored. the settings are off, on, and last state. If it's set to on... if you have a small power outage, when power is restored, the PC will turn back on automatically. Set it to "last state" 3. Someone is using your PC/flocking with you. Solution? Set a CMOS password. Set the password somewhere on the desk... if it's used then someone is trying to access it. If not... then it's something else, or the person is an idiot, or genius if (s)he see right through your plan.
