  1. yes i know, but if you followed the posted link on the first post, it will link to another page in their forum where the message was written in japanese (or was that chinese? dont bother checking the link on it btw, its also on that same page from the link you posted.) So, U're talking about this link : http://fuego.red32.net/~mature/moregames/v...=asc&start=1050
  2. The original rumor comes from http://fuego.red32.net/~mature/moregames/v...opic.php?t=1189
  3. Ends pics : www.vgmuseum.com/end/neogeo/c/kof2k3.htm
  4. A metallic android accent. No, in fact, I come from an european country.
  5. In dipswitches : just Blood enabled, I dislike cheese, anchovies & other weird creatures.
  6. Yes, I know about "Blood" : On in the dips for US & euro regions too, but I've not had enough time to try it. Also, I've not tried to turn on DIP#1 00000001 Dip#2 00110000 in using Uni-bios with FBA.
  7. Put it in japanese region, normally Blood is enabled & not censored like in US & euro regions.
  8. Check you've deleted.CFG files in E/TDATA/FA7E before using it.
  9. Really curious, coz I've put them on a DVDRW & they work fine ! Check you've renamed all the roms correctly & you don't use encrypted roms.
  10. There : 1/ -Edited out- (you have to be registered to get pass, it's free) 2/ -Edited out- 3/ -Edited out- (you have to be registered, it's free). 4/ -Edited out- 5/ -Edited out- (you have to be registered to download Isos or console roms).
  11. Ok, I explain : About mslug5nd -> I've used my Winkawaks.dat file : mslug5nd.zip (Metal Slug 5 fully decrypted) : 268-p1n.bin -> 6 Mb (use P1 for Winkawaks & Nebula) ms5n_s1.rom -> 128 Kb 268-m1d.bin -> 128 Kb ms5n_c1.rom -> 8 Mb ms5n_c2.rom -> 8 Mb ms5n_c3.rom -> 8 Mb ms5n_c4.rom -> 8 Mb ms5n_c5.rom -> 8 Mb ms5n_c6.rom -> 8 Mb ms5n_c7.rom -> 8 Mb ms5n_c8.rom -> 8 Mb 268-v1d.bin -> 4 Mb 268-v2d.bin -> 4 Mb 268-v3d.bin -> 4 Mb 268-v4d.bin -> 4 Mb About kof99nd -> due to the fact it 's put instead of kof2k1nd. About cthd2k3 & kof2k1n -> they use the same V & M roms names in the default.xbe because they're put instead of kof99p & kof99nd.
  12. The best way is : Never use Kazaa or p2p.
  13. Huh? I cant see a option to change the "test" menu there. Current system: neogeo Redefine Keys: A - Button 1 B - Button 4 X - Button 2 Y - Button 3 Start - Start Back - Coin Left trigger - Button 1+2 Right trigger - Button 3+4 Black - Button 1+2 White - Button 2+4 Thats all. You can change your configuration, right & left until -> Test.
  14. Use the decrypted romset : mslug4n.zip (Metal Slug 4 predecrypted : decrypted C & V) : 263-p1.bin -> 1 Mb 263-p2.bin -> 4 Mb 263-s1.bin -> 128 Kb 263-m1d.bin -> 64 Kb 263-v1d.bin -> 4 Mb 263-v2d.bin -> 4 Mb 263-v3d.bin -> 4 Mb 263-v4d.bin -> 4 Mb ms4n_c1.rom -> 8 Mb ms4n_c2.rom -> 8 Mb ms4n_c3.rom -> 8 Mb ms4n_c4.rom -> 8 Mb ms4n_c5.rom -> 4 Mb ms4n_c6.rom -> 4 Mb
  15. You can do it : Just press B button -> Redefine Keys -> Attribute "Test" to another button.
  16. Hex edited Kawa-X default.xbe update : About the changes : On the 1st default.xbe (called Kawa-X 0.11), you can notice : - mslug5nd instead of kof2k1nd ; - kof99nd instead of garoup (prototype) ; - kof2k1nd (now called kof2k1n because it is only predecrypted) instead of kof99nd ; - cthd2k3 (use Neorage X version because it is fully decrypted) instead of kof99p (prototype). Finally, the only removed games around the 2 default.xbe are just the prototypes : kof99p & garoup. But garoun & kof99nd (the decrypted romsets) stay fully playable. Added games roms names & sizes on the 1st default.xbe : cthd2k3.zip (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon 2003, called cthd2k3 to avoid confusion with Winkawaks & Nebula romset) : 5003-p1.bin -> 1 Mb 5003-p2.bin -> 4 Mb 5003-s1.bin -> 128 Kb 262-m1d.bin -> 128 Kb 262-v1.bin -> 4 Mb 262-v2.bin -> 4 Mb 262-v3.bin -> 4 Mb 262-v4.bin -> 4 Mb 5003-c1.bin -> 8 Mb 5003-c2.bin -> 8 Mb 5003-c3.bin -> 8 Mb 5003-c4.bin -> 8 Mb 5003-c5.bin -> 8 Mb 5003-c6.bin -> 8 Mb 5003-c7.bin -> 8 Mb 5003-c8.bin -> 8 Mb mslug5nd.zip (Metal Slug 5 decrypted : fully decrypted) : 268-p1n.bin -> 6 Mb (use P1 for Winkawaks & Nebula) ms5n_s1.rom -> 128 Kb 268-m1d.bin -> 128 Kb ms5n_c1.rom -> 8 Mb ms5n_c2.rom -> 8 Mb ms5n_c3.rom -> 8 Mb ms5n_c4.rom -> 8 Mb ms5n_c5.rom -> 8 Mb ms5n_c6.rom -> 8 Mb ms5n_c7.rom -> 8 Mb ms5n_c8.rom -> 8 Mb 268-v1d.bin -> 4 Mb 268-v2d.bin -> 4 Mb 268-v3d.bin -> 4 Mb 268-v4d.bin -> 4 Mb kof2k1nd.zip is now called -> kof2k1n.zip kof99nd.zip (KoF '99 decrypted : fully decrypted) : kf99_p1.rom -> 1 Mb kf99_p2.rom -> 4 Mb kf99_s1.rom -> 128 Kb 251-m1.bin -> 128 Kb 251-v1.bin -> 4 Mb 251-v2.bin -> 4 Mb 251-v3.bin -> 4 Mb 251-v4.bin -> 2 Mb kf99_c1.rom -> 8 Mb kf99_c2.rom -> 8 Mb kf99_c3.rom -> 8 Mb kf99_c4.rom -> 8 Mb kf99_c5.rom -> 8 Mb kf99_c6.rom -> 8 Mb kf99_c7.rom -> 8 Mb kf99_c8.rom -> 8 Mb On the 2nd default.xbe (called Kawa-Hex 0.11) you can notice : - pim instead of kof98 ; - kof2k2nd instead of kof2k1nd ; - rotdn instead of s1945pn ; - svcbl (bootleg) & svcplus instead of kof99p & kof99nd ; - mslug4n instead of rbff2 ; - samsho5 instead of garoup (prototype). Finally, kof98, kof2k1n, s1945pn, kof99nd & rbff2 stay fully playable on the 1st default.xbe. Added games roms names & sizes on the 1st default.xbe : svcbl.zip (SVC Chaos : SNK vs Capcom bootleg) : svc_p1.rom (the one without "Plus") -> 6 Mb svc_s1.rom (the one without "Plus") -> 128 Kb svc-m1.rom -> 128 Kb svc-v1.rom -> 4 Mb svc-v2.rom -> 4 Mb svc-v3.rom -> 4 Mb svc-v4.rom -> 4 Mb svc_c1.rom -> 8 Mb svc_c2.rom -> 8 Mb svc_c3.rom -> 8 Mb svc_c4.rom -> 8 Mb svc_c5.rom -> 8 Mb svc_c6.rom -> 8 Mb svc_c7.rom -> 8 Mb svc_c8.rom -> 8 Mb svcplus.zip (SVC Chaos Plus : SNK vs Capcom) : svc_p1.rom (the one with "Plus") -> 6 Mb svc_s1.rom (the one with "Plus") -> 128 Kb svc-m1.rom -> 128 Kb svc-v1.rom -> 4 Mb svc-v2.rom -> 4 Mb svc-v3.rom -> 4 Mb svc-v4.rom -> 4 Mb svc_c1.rom -> 8 Mb svc_c2.rom -> 8 Mb svc_c3.rom -> 8 Mb svc_c4.rom -> 8 Mb svc_c5.rom -> 8 Mb svc_c6.rom -> 8 Mb svc_c7.rom -> 8 Mb svc_c8.rom -> 8 Mb mslug4n.zip (Metal Slug 4 predecrypted : decrypted C & V roms) : 263-p1.bin -> 1 Mb 263-p2.bin -> 4 Mb 263-s1.bin -> 128 Kb 263-m1d.bin -> 64 Kb 263-v1d.bin -> 4 Mb 263-v2d.bin -> 4 Mb 263-v3d.bin -> 4 Mb 263-v4d.bin -> 4 Mb ms4n_c1.rom -> 8 Mb ms4n_c2.rom -> 8 Mb ms4n_c3.rom -> 8 Mb ms4n_c4.rom -> 8 Mb ms4n_c5.rom -> 4 Mb ms4n_c6.rom -> 4 Mb pim.zip (Power Instinct Matrimelee) : 266-p1.bin -> 1 Mb 266-p2.bin -> 4 Mb 266-s1.bin -> 128 Kb 266-m1.bin -> 128 Kb 266-v1.bin -> 4 Mb 266-v2.bin -> 4 Mb 266-v3.bin -> 4 Mb 266-v4.bin -> 4 Mb 266-c1.bin -> 8 Mb 266-c2.bin -> 8 Mb 266-c3.bin -> 8 Mb 266-c4.bin -> 8 Mb 266-c5.bin -> 8 Mb 266-c6.bin -> 8 Mb 266-c7.bin -> 8 Mb 266-c8.bin -> 8 Mb rotdn.zip (Rage of the Dragons predecrypted : decrypted C & V roms) : 264-p1.bin -> 8 Mb (the best is P1 rom [crc : 841071FD], because it supports Console + Arcade modes) rotdn_s1.rom -> 128 Kb 264-m1d.bin -> 64 Kb 264-v1d.bin -> 4 Mb 264-v2d.bin -> 4 Mb 264-v3d.bin -> 4 Mb 264-v4d.bin -> 4 Mb rotdn_c1.rom -> 8 Mb rotdn_c2.rom -> 8 Mb rotdn_c3.rom -> 8 Mb rotdn_c4.rom -> 8 Mb rotdn_c5.rom -> 8 Mb rotdn_c6.rom -> 8 Mb rotdn_c7.rom -> 8 Mb rotdn_c8.rom -> 8 Mb kof2k2nd.zip (KoF 2002 decrypted : fully decrypted) : 265-p1n.bin -> 1 Mb 265-p2n.bin -> 4 Mb kf2k2_s1.rom -> 128 Kb 265-m1d.bin -> 128 Kb 265-v1d.bin -> 4 Mb 265-v2d.bin -> 4 Mb 265-v3d.bin -> 4 Mb 265-v4d.bin -> 4 Mb kf2k2_c1.rom -> 8 Mb kf2k2_c2.rom -> 8 Mb kf2k2_c3.rom -> 8 Mb kf2k2_c4.rom -> 8 Mb kf2k2_c5.rom -> 8 Mb kf2k2_c6.rom -> 8 Mb kf2k2_c7.rom -> 8 Mb kf2k2_c8.rom -> 8 Mb samsho5.zip (Samurai Shodown V) : 270-p1.bin -> 8 Mb 270-s1.bin -> 128 Kb 270-m1.bin -> 128 Kb 270-v1.bin -> 4 Mb 270-v2.bin -> 4 Mb 270-v3.bin -> 4 Mb 270-v4.bin -> 4 Mb 270-c1.bin -> 8 Mb 270-c2.bin -> 8 Mb 270-c3.bin -> 8 Mb 270-c4.bin -> 8 Mb 270-c5.bin -> 8 Mb 270-c6.bin -> 8 Mb 270-c7.bin -> 8 Mb 270-c8.bin -> 8 Mb
  17. Ciccior, Why haven't you removed P2 to avoid splitting mslug5nd P1 ? To do it : - replace the name of P2 rom where there're roms names with......... (values 00 00 00 00 00 00) ; - replace P2 CRC + size with........ (values 00 00 00 00 00 00 etc). You will notice Kawa-X will load only P1 rom. Also, it's better to replace "glitched" like Super Sidekicks series.
  18. The beginning of all this can be found in "kawa-x Plus" which involved some doubling of roms, splitting, etc. Crude but effective with the central objective was to get unsupported roms to run. Then the xbe hexing was discovered and an entirely new strategy was adopted to making the emu recognize romsets.......ENTER KAWA_X SE - this build by Mr.X supports the roms as they are found in the scene and by far the most USER-FRIENDLY version of the Kawa-X, eliminating the need for all the renaming, etc provided that the end-user has a matching romset. (I personally tested SE(alpha) - the first default.xbe that Mr.X made (before it was called "SE") I went to sites and re-downloaded complete romsets that were supported at the time with SE and I had about a 90% success rate in just plugging and playing those roms. Thats pretty damn impressive if you ask me considering all the rom sources out there, etc. If everyone was using SE then there would be no concerns as as mentioned above- SE supports romsets as they are in the scene. Thats really a matter of opinion. Some people are emulator freaks that want their games to be run as close to the actual arcade version as possible.....so you see the conflict with your comments about UNLOCKED characters, etc. Also SE supports both the Bootleg and PLUS versions of SVC (basically different P1s) and PLUS does show the PLUS on the screen but has all characters and newest M and S roms. Plus is what makes it the plus. Newer sets like Samsho5 and Mslug5 have not had major changes made to them from the final releases that were running. As we all know we generally are waiting for a P1 that will run for us on kawaks/nebula/neorage or whatever. P1s were released for both of these games which allow us to run them in kawa-x. I havent really heard a lot of people complaining much. In fact in many ways (imho) it has strengthened this community here with members helping eachother out and as they grow to learn more about the emu, they become teachers instead of students. Ive been very impressed by all this actually. Kawa-X Se allows you the flexibilty to play around with your roms (switching out P and S roms, etc ) since there is no CRC check. So in the case of SVC(PLUS) if you dont want the PLUS to show up but you also want all characters unlocked, then all you would need to do is change out a P rom that has all characters unlocked and no PLUS. The EMU SCENE standard with SVC is to have the BOOTLEG and the PLUS versions as Mr.X has added them in SE. Now ENTER: FBAX With the link provided, right away most of you are going to have compatibility issues with certain roms, ESP: kof2k2nd.zips p2n...there might be others with PIM, Sengoku3 and others.....who knows. Reason being, FBAX checks CRC (currently-ill get to this in a minute). Also everyone will need a new neogeo bios for FBAX (all mentioned in the readme and website)....Ofcourse his motivation wasnt a transition from KAWA-X to FBAX the compile was done for himself according to roms he has. Great job too. So why even bother? Well FBAX could be a PLAY ALL on 1 EMU/XBE solution that a lot of people seem to be looking for. No more renaming/ replacing romsets in order to trick emu into running newer games, simply adding the driver will bring it INTO the rom family with all others. (CPS1,CPS2,CAVE, TOEPLAN,NEOGEO). -I know that DJBASE (the person that compiled the zip that has been linked here) is working with someone to remove the CRC checking in fbax. This would mean more flexibilty with the emu and more opportunity to "play" around with your romsets.......basically SIZE would be the only thing that matters. I have recently learned how to compile and add drivers to FBAX and my goal is to create a version that is more compatibile to the SE roms with little or no need to go in and hex crc values. Also add compatibility for other decrypted romsets that are NOT compatible with FBAX currently. (mslug3, strikers,kof2k,kof2k1,kof99) which will be even more of a smooth transition for everyone here. When i release my version (very soon) it will include a "dat" of the roms i added to it as well as 'preview' images that you can add to that folder so you get a little pic when you highlight the rom and a new MENU image (cause i cant stand the one it comes with). _personally i have found that the FBAX sound levels are lower and tend to break up more often than in Kawa-X. But you should all try it out for yourselves. The compile i will be building will still be as PLUS was.....something for ME that I share with YOU. So, Have you tried to replace CRC with values 0000000, because that allows to play with all CRC you want without checking with Nebula on PC.
