zero129 Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 hey good job djohng, hope you get the problem fixed and this baby released, but in the readme file, could you add what the crc's for each game are, its just my romsets are not the newest, and since im only on 56k i would hate to have to download them all again , and could anyone post a place where i can get patches to change the crc's of the romsets i have, so that i wont need to go asking for such a file or having to download a whole new romset.

FBA-XXX automatically creates a RomCenter and ClrMamePro DAT on the XBOX HD so it isn't required of djohng to list the CRCs in a readme. What he can do if he wants is add both of the DATs in the release zip of his FBA-XXX build so people know which romsets to hunt down and use and not everyone has FTP access to their XBOX HD contents to retrieve the DATs from. BTW djohng, does your build of FBA-XXX require the S roms for the decrypted sets? Edited September 9, 2004 by Vegeta
djohng Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 BTW djohng, does your build of FBA-XXX require the S roms for the decrypted sets?Yes, I included the s-roms in the build. It's better on my nerves, since each change requires a compile. As for the dat files...who doesn't have FTP access to their XBox??? how do you run the emulator? on a burned DVD each time?...god I feel for you.. Again, I'll include the DAT files from my version to compare... Fixed the bug with scrolling locking up in the neogeo list...now to finalize the SS5S drivers... -djohng

You got ppl asking for the DATs at the official FBA-XXX forums Anyway, I'm quite sure this is the set you are using for your FBA-XXX? zero5 Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 I notice that Sengoku 3 is locking up too as well on the default.xbe (mame dump) and the same with strikers 3 plus.
+ T + Posted September 9, 2004 Author Posted September 9, 2004 (edited) Yes, I included the s-roms in the build. It's better on my nerves, since each change requires a compile. Are you using the 512Kb s roms for the romsets those that support them? Here are the 100% correct crcs if they're of any use to you : garoud.zip----------motwn_s1.rom 512Kb be2ba1a5 mslug3nd.zip------------ms3n_s1.rom 512Kb 2628d663 mslug4nd.zip------------263-s1.bin 512Kb c349ad60 kof2knd.zip-----------kof2k_s1.rom 512Kb 38901d4d kof2k3ba.zip------------271b-s1.bin 512Kb 3b658d26 svc.zip-------269-s1.bin 512Kb AD184232 svcplus.zip-----------269p-s1.bin 512Kb 06125f98 Edited September 9, 2004 by + T +
zero129 Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 Will i have to go and hunt down the roms again or can i use a patch to change the crc's?.
axledentaldj Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 Yes, I can FTP into my XBOX, but I prefer to use the old dump default.xbe, I think the othe reason why I use it, was because it ran rotd.zip better, and some other neogeo romsets as decrypted better. I think its a bit faster loadin in decrypted neogeo romsets..but hey, I can't force you to make it compatible for the old dumps default.xbe... I could always stick with Gogo's last FBAXXX August release that had the fbaxxx.ini to tun on the banned neogeo romsets. Still, I'll tinker with most any veriosn of FBAXXX you guys put out thats close to the latest version of Gogo's FBAXX to see if the new features and any of the old bugs are removed properly..
Prican25 Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 (edited) djohng yes i know it takes long to load the encrypted (god knows i waited long enough doing compiles back and forth hehe) but using T's latest patch just causes a lockup and the bar doesn't even go all the way (waited 5 mins after i saw it stop) axledentaldj as much as you may perfer the old xbe, its time for a change as most of us have already updated along with mame sets as its a normal process for things to get updated so i suggest you start upgrading so you don't get so far behind. Edited September 9, 2004 by Prican25
Vegeta Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Yeah we need to use a fixed set bar the banned sets and the MAME set is the way to go.
axledentaldj Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 (edited) OK, I'll work on updating my testing FBAXXX2 on my XBOX to have the Mame set's of my favorite Neogeo romsets.. Thanks.. I know, it's bound to happen, might has well have both. Hm, OK, but whats the right.DAT file I should be using on banned Neogeo romsets with romcenter..? Hmmm Edited September 10, 2004 by axledentaldj
djohng Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 djohng yes i know it takes long to load the encrypted (god knows i waited long enough doing compiles back and forth hehe) but using T's latest patch just causes a lockup and the bar doesn't even go all the way (waited 5 mins after i saw it stop)I dont have that problem...with mslug4 the text graphics are garbled, but rotd works great...I think the decryption routine in the driver is messed up... mslug4nd works great...no issues. The other mslugs are fine also I've got everything fixed except for the latest samsh5sp and samsh5sn...it will lock the game list when I scroll to it...frustrating... Anyone have a driver that they have found sucessfull with fbaxxx that can post the source? -djohng
Prican25 Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 (edited) i had been fixed the prob with mslug4 encrypted by replacing the old iq_132 code with the latest one which is on that link i gave to T a page or 2 back and also replaced the drivers that were used with the ones on that site as well in my old compile. the only error that will show was the warning screen looking garbled but the game plays fine. rotd i never had a prob with deal with either version of the code. i'm posting my old neogeo source from my last compile if you wanna look and see whats changed Edited September 10, 2004 by Prican25
djohng Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Prican25; I have mslug4 working. Though I still have samsh5nd still giving an error halfway through loading...frustrating!
