Help with new neoragex ecgc final version

When i press import to rescan my rom directories, the screen just goes black and it crashes to the desktop. Any suggestions???

i have windows xp pro. i've had problems with the last 2 versions of this once great emulator - i'm starting to lose faith...

i got the same problem, it just crashes when u load ur roms...

For all those using Windows XP, NeorageX will NOT work. That's the fact and you must accept it. This is not the case for other emulators like Kawaks or Mame. However if you really must use NeorageX, there is a hacked version that will run on Windows XP. Just search on google, you will find it.

 

There is another topic started by Emsley on this version of NRX. I'm not sure what the problem is you guys are running into but I have used this version and it works fine. I'm running Win98 on my computer so it may be that NRX ecgc is NOT modified to run on Windows Xp.

easy fix for u guys just right click on the icon and go to compatibility and choose win 98/me and it should work after that

nope tried it already still not working , maybe i will stick to use kawaks ..

Same problem in Windows Millennium actually, so that XP compatability argument is out the window. I did however find that it did it when I asked it to import a lot of roms, I moved most of my roms and left only 7 in the roms directory, and it scanned and imported them correctly without crashing, so the problem's still a mystery.

Ok, I'll give my two cents...

 

1. DO NOT use the latest ZLIB.DLL with EGCG(whatever) NeoRAGEx...

2. If it still crashes, delete Neorage.ini just in case.

same probs for me with the new 1.0H egcg neoragex emulator ..i dont think its an compatiability issue coz some of the roms seem to work fine..but the screen turns black suddenly n quits to desktop only when i add the entire rom folders path ...the hacked version of this emulator may solve the problem..but i dont seem to find it anywhere....tried using an ealier version of zlib.dll n deleting the.ini file too..still no luck. ne suggestions guys?

Is there any way i can resolve this problem ?

Hmm... I had crashing problems too, but the steps I mentioned worked for me.

The Universe BIOS can give troubles too, so if you're using that, switch to the original BIOS.

i tired changing the bios too..an ealier one...well wt did u mean by universe n original bios ? can i find the original bios smwhere else ?..can u give it to me?

o ya another prob wid this new emulator is... after 1 or 2 restarts, there is another error commin up now...the neorage[wtever] might be infected with a virus... btw, i am using win XP pro n i dont like using any of the antivirus products.

am i the only one wid all these problems??
