CoinOPS reignite R5 Standalone (THREAD CLOSED MOVING ON)

Thanks to the posts from run088 and DOA, I've now managed to get Coinops Reignite R5 working properly - cheers guys!

 

D.O.A. you asked for suggestions for Coinops Reignite R6? How about adding a new 'sort' method, so that as well as being able to sort by name, genre, no of players etc, we could search by system? ie Arcade, SNES, Megadrive/Genesis and whatever other systems you see fit to add?

 

Just a thought.

I'm digging R5 too. Cheers to all involved.

 

I'll leave out my obvious first request (if you know anything about me) and just add that I still like the idea of being able to "Quit to XBMC" option. That way I can make CoinOps the dash that shows up first when the box powers up, and then be able to switch over to XBMC for ftp and other emus and programs.

 

I think most of us will have XBMC in e:\apps\xbmc but being able to specify what xbe to boot would be great too.

 

Besides that R5 looks good. Fixed that movie\screenshot scrolling issue which was driving me crazy so thanks for that.

Do we still have a single and universal screensize configuration for all systems?

I ask this because SNES and MegaDrive/Genesis have totally different screensizes.

to adjust SNES and megadrive you need to select Back+white this may change and its global at present for each emulator

 

new sorting methods will be discussed soon on dev thread...but its on the to do list for sure

 

and yes you will need unibio 2.3 and it enabled to play most boss hacks

Looking at how the "skins" folder contains an "arcade" folder with the Final Burn rombrowser in it (& options screen)

I'm presuming you have the Final Burn core as an added "bonus"....

Neils wong..... but as he spotted if you do stuff correctly it will launch all that stuff no worries...im documenting it though....his files are out and its very easy to add. Ummm xport expressed he wanted the launcher code used and nes expressed he didnt want it used even though he built it in, with a little look around like neil did you will see its about 5 secs to reintroduce

 

you can thank Neil for spotting how easy it will be to insert nes code.... that was a hint from neil guys well spotted

I really don't like conversing to you via posts, as you have a tendency to bend facts.

I was merely pointing out that I found the skins for Final Burn in the "skins" folder of Coinops,

seemed strange to me, especially after you said it wasn't going to be used. Thats all.

its just an oversite.....CoinOPS will run any commandline supported emu..like all xport...all fba even coinops itself....ill be putting them in properly and easily for people but ive left out the final burn ones as my own version of final burn is coming along and it should intergrate in well and have open source issues. But yes it will run an final burn core no worries if you know what your doing.

 

I didnt want to say it but neil is helping you guys out in to what CoinOPS can do ... ive added it all but due to the aurthor not wanting it open sources ive left it out but the engine for running all emulators including finbrun ones will be left in as it is in XBMC....

Twisting the truth again there I see....

 

To clear up any mis-understanding here, I do not do anything with CoinOPS except play

games in it (not Final Burn games btw, I use nes' superior FBL/Final Burn for that).

 

So to say I am helping people out here is a plain lie.

I would never help you out....

People already know the truth anyway really, as reading all your previous posts would explain this.

That's if you haven't gone back & edited your posts already, like you normally do...lol.

In any future replies, I'll quote you on everything, so this won't be the case!

 

Anyway, I suppose this won't be the end of it, as I know how much you love

Ok, this really is ridiculous.

I didn't hint at anything, I stated that I presumed the "bonus" that was being mentioned in the thread

was the Final Burn core... which you denied, so thats that, sorted. Move on...

 

"Proof of Final Burn running in CoinOPS".... that would be the post you made showing pictures of the Final Burn games

in the emu rom-list....remember? Or has that post been edited already?

 

It makes me laugh that you place such high values on thread numbers, I couldn't care less what numbers my

threads are at...unlike you, who happens to mention it constantly. as mentioned by you above.

To sum it up, I use CoinOPS & like it. I have no qualms about saying that. (Not for FBL/Final Burn games though )

The only problem I have is with your attitude, which bugged me a few years ago, when you were being

very rude to people asking innocent questions & such, myself included.

I can't be bothered with this stuff anymore really, as it just keeps going round in circles, over & over.

Almost reminds me of arguing with a woman.....
