Robert Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 I'm on 256kb down and 64kb up. Which is VERY flocking SLOW. But that's how it is in this country.

Robert Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 dslreports.com speed test result on 2006-09-08 05:36:17 EST:211 / 53Your download speed : 211 kbps or 26.3 KB/sec. Your upload speed : 53 kbps or 6.6 KB/sec.
ken_cinder Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Nearest server to me (North of Toronto) was the Seattle one (NJ one wasn't working). These results are HIGHLY inaccurate, as I average 3x the download on everything I normally do. Upload was fairly accurate however. Your download speed : 1780 kbps or 222.5 KB/sec. Your upload speed : 651 kbps or 81.4 KB/sec
Rag Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 My download speed : 4458 kbps or 557.3 KB/sec. My upload speed : 353 kbps or 44.2 KB/sec. seems somewhat accurate although I can get higher DL speeds. Cinder how do you get such high speeds on torrents? Mine usually cap around 200 kb/s and thats still very rare.
ken_cinder Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Depends on the torrent, and the users obviously. It's not like I don't see slow speeds, but on well seeded torrents I max out often. Maybe you're in need of the TCP sockets patch for XP? (I forget how many sockets SP2 is limited too, I think like 10) Your client will also only allow so many connections per torrent. By default, Azureus limits me to far less than my connection can handle. Bump up for max connections and see if you achieve better speeds (If you can set this in your client)
Mooney Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 dslreports.com speed test result on 2006-09-08 19:23:52 EST:1158 / 97Your download speed : 1158 kbps or 144.7 KB/sec.That is 36.2% worse than an average user on ameritech.net Your upload speed : 97 kbps or 12.1 KB/sec.That is 77.2% worse than an average user on ameritech.net I want Road Runner! *cry*

Your upload speed : 330 kbps or 41.2 KB/sec. I'm on 256kb down and 64kb up. Which is VERY flocking SLOW. Shibathedog Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Comcast can actually be up to 8000 down Right now i get 4000 down and 350 up (rounding obviously) but if im connected wirelessley, thanks to my jackass early wireless N Adopting (or MIMO...whatever...they both suck ass and cause problems) neighbors i get like 1400 down, and 350 up
