bafio Posted March 5, 2006 Author Posted March 5, 2006 Hi, I have posted the a new, this time big update to the chat program: http://bafio.drunkencoders.com/ Version 0.9* New default skin.* New keyboard with support for all the keys, shift and caps.* Multiple messages view (press X to change from 1 message to 4 messages view)* Menus (back to bootloader, turn off the ds...)* Settings (change nickname)* Changable font for the drawings* Changable skins (simple JPG images, located in the /skins folder)TODO:** fix some bugs still present in the server** Update to the new Wifi library (when out). That will add support for WEP, etc.* Saving and loading messages from the CF* Save settings on server and/or on the CF* Possibly colors and TCP version... not in the near future though Cheers Bafio
acky Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Thanks Bafio! This version is awesome, quite aethetically pleasing. It will be so awesome with the new wifi lib. Looking forward to not having to have to turn WEP on and off.
RobM Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Got it working. All WiFi settings have to be preset, not auto. Any plan on releasing the source?
bafio Posted March 8, 2006 Author Posted March 8, 2006 Got it working. All WiFi settings have to be preset, not auto. Any plan on releasing the source? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi, the source code of both client and server is now available! You can download it here: http://bafio.drunkencoders.com/ Contributions are appreciated, and I hope it can provide some ideas and solutions, even if it's not so nice code. Cheers Bafio
Öhr GmbH Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 cant you add a changelog of the server on your site, too?
infernoDS Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Coding is an artist's work, and seeing your code I must admit that it is nice and clear! You would probably die of confusing seeing my code of DSremote .
analogman Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 So... any hope for a TCP version? I understand the protocol would be completely rewritten, but with the source released, and this being the closest to internet chatting one can get on homebrew, would anyone want to take a stab at implementing the new Wifi Lib 0.3?
D-loader Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 analogman, check out qwerty's Blubb game.. it has a wonderfull chatoption, and a lobby version is gonna be out in a few days ( hopefully )
