This news has been on 13 of my 26 channels. This has screwed up my whole tv watching schedule. Just kidding...but not really.

RIP :)

So did they adopt him as a saint? I heard they were debating that

BTW who gets the popemobile now?

Becoming a saint is an arduous process that takes years. Various miracles have to be attributed to a person in order for them to become a saint.

People are just speculating right now.

They were talking about how they can't count miracles for qualifying for sainthood. Like they wouldn't count how this lady testifyed that the pope cured her son's blood disease or something.

I could care less...when I think of the Pope, it reminds me of the Church and all of its seedy history. I can't see how people can be Catholics. Miracles and making ppl saints...please. Just another bullshit religion like the rest.

The only good news about this is now that he's dead he'll take up less news coverage. Just like Terry Schiavo. Now things will return to normal.

the popemobile? it's only an oversized golf cart.

you think that will be the end of it on the news. I guess none

of you remember the last time a pope died. Day in, day out

of speculation. Anyway they elected JohnPaul I, he was a bit

too radical, so he died after just one month. Then they got

this current pope in, JohnPaul II. There's a lot of media

nonsense to come yet I can tell you.

Carol Wojtyla was a good man, as far as unbiased articles are concerned; even though he was agaist abortions, comdoms and whatnot.

I second Sturm's opinion on the matter. I never much liked the Catholic church, so I couldn't care less about their dead pope. People say he did a lot of good things, but who know what horrible things he did off camera. The church knows, and they're not planning to tell us. Ever.

Besides, it's not like he was killed or anything, he was 85, his life ended by natural means.

I'm more interested in who the next pope will be.

It's gonna be rough for him though. Pope John Paul II did so many things, I don't think that the next pope can stand up to that.

Pope John Paul II holds the record for drawing the largest crowd. 6 million people showed up to see him.

Consdering I did my confermation last year (my mom forced me) I should care about this matter. But there are so many things that happened in the middle ages until modern with the cathelic church that makes me think it's all artificial sanity

It's all over the news here too. And most of our government went to a church for that occasion. Stupid bastards! They are supposed to stay out of religious matters. We separated state and religion a century ago, damnit!
