The Raincheck Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Got a couple of probs with FBA XXX Pro. 1. SF2CE13 does NOT display correctly its very glitchy 2. KOF Special Edition 2004 is missing from the DAT file. The last verison i got had this game Why did you take it out? Yes I know its a hack but I personlly LOVE hacks it makes the orginal game a little more interesting after beatin the Shizint out of the orginal and looking for something new. 3. my KOF 2002 Plus (set 1) rom doesnt work now it says i need kf2k2_c1.rom i have 2k2_c1.rom so i need a ips patch for it if some1 has it i would appricate it. other than those gripes about fba-xxx pro it works excellent. I (and im sure for others) would like to see romset changes noted like the Kf2k2pls rom change. Keep up the good work on FBA XXX Pro, +T+

My understanding is that kof2k4se is just a ROM hack and not an actual bootleg set. FBA-XXX Pro does not support hacked sets since there are far too many to keep up with. kf2k2pls now uses the C ROMs from the bootleg set. This is more correct since it is also a bootleg set. For those who are wondering, there is going to be an updated build soon incorporating all the new ROMs that have surfaced recently (alot of new M ROMs and of course the new mslug5 C ROMs). But I also want to address the problem of the reversed buttons in the controller config and it's this that I haven't had the time to look into as yet. Edited June 8, 2005 by + T +

+ T + Posted June 10, 2005 Author Posted June 10, 2005 UPDATE: - Updated many Neo-Geo ROMsets with the latest releases. - Added new CPS2 clone sets from MAME. This is purely a ROMset update. I haven't had the chance to address any other outstanding issues with the emu. As to whether or not there will be any more releases of FBA-XXX Pro after this one I am uncertain at the moment. You see... Not long ago I was asked by TMaul (Kev from the FBA dev team for those who don't know) if I'd like to help with a new build of FBA-X that he's been working on. The main objectives being to clean out the inessentials and to use a codebase closer to the PC version. Naturally I said I'd love to be involved since I really don't see FBA-XXX going much further than it already has in terms of real development and this project has the potential to give FBA a new lease of life on the Xbox. The downside of this (if you can call it that) is that it doesn't really leave me with much inclination to continue working on FBA-XXX Pro when I know something far better is in the pipeline. I'm not saying there won't be any more builds of Pro. Just that things will probably slow down from here and be mostly limited to ROM updates. + T +
sammaz Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Ive been looking at some PGM games and I think it may be possible when mame cracks the encryption to incorporate them into FBAxxx... and PGM games are the BEST shooters i wish i still had the link but there is a site that shows all the PGM games...so maybe this can be a long term goal of fbaxxx

Prican25 Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 nice to hear tmual wanting you're help on a new fba-x, i'm sure it will be great. fba-xxx pro has been one of the best emus around as of lately and so i think just having the roms updated would be great enough till the new fba-x comes out
+ T + Posted June 10, 2005 Author Posted June 10, 2005 (edited) UPDATE: Seems there was a problem running the new uni-bios with the last release. So I've updated the build to go back to v2.0 for now. EDIT: There were still some issues with some of the new bios files causing scrambled graphics. I'll get a fixed version up as soon as I can. Edited June 11, 2005 by + T +
