lawnspic Posted March 12, 2005 Posted March 12, 2005 hey T noticed something strange, bbkradu keeps getting a no sound error (no music or sound when playing) when loading, but the parent bbakraid is ok. also the parent for battle garegga keeps getting a bad rom check error and the clones run fine though. just wanted to point that out, any idea whats going on. oy yeah i tried battle garegga in mamedox and all work, but did not try bbakraid. also did not work in fbaxxx6_3 or previous builds since b5
+ T + Posted March 12, 2005 Author Posted March 12, 2005 The sound in bbkradu works fine for me. The set name did need changing to bbakradu to match MAME though. If there was a problem, maybe that fixed it.

The battleg and svcchaos problems are proving more tricky than I thought. I've asked djohng to take a look at the latter when he gets the chance. In the meantime I've assigned both sets NOT_WORKING status. Use clone sets instead for now.

Use clone sets instead for now. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've taken a look at the battleg driver, and do not have any problems running the game with my source. +T+ and I have compared source and rom CRCs, but there are no differences. Game boots & runs fine...so as of right now, I can't tell you what your problem is? The game is 4M, so it really shouldn't be using VM. What is the exact error your getting? Is it an FBA error or a rom error? -djohng

This is certainly odd. Perhaps try going into the save directory and deleting the config files for these games. I haven't a clue what's going on here with some games working for some people and not others. Hopefully djohng will be able to shed some light on the situation.

Did you verify the file with clrmame...it's very strange that the clones are fine, but the parent has an error. It has to be with your save file on E being corupted or the rom itself...also be sure your xbox clock is set...I remember the neogeo games having issues if the clock on the xbox was corupted. All sets of battlega parent and clone work fine for me. -djohng

lawnspic Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 hey i think you are right about the save, i will try that. also all my romes checked out fine when i audited them. can you tell me the folder number in TDATA where the saves for FBA are? if you dont know off hand i will just skim through them. thanks. im always adding and deleting new versions of FBAXXX and have not cleared out that folder yet
