Krosigrim Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Well since I have that Sega collection, I've been hacking away at the achievements. Just beat Dr. Robotnicks M.B.M. and HOLY SHIT WTF!!! That game is HARD! Never ever have I been so challenged by stupidity. The pieces come two by two... but since the mechanics are simple... they make the pieces fall at least 5X faster that Tetris on level 9. Fortunately the game comes with save states... I... abused it yet again. I see no other way to do it though. I felt like an old geezer... then I remembered that the pieces WERE falling at the sped of light. You should see Robotnicks pace. Anyone who has gotten far in this game knows exactly what im talking about. So now I'm playing Dinimite Headdy. Never played it... Started its up and it a game by Treasure! I love those guys, Guardian Heroes, Gunstar Heroes. So I knew the game was at the very least going to be ok. Well it seems alright... I havent beaten the first boss yet, but it is good. Um... the game makes no sense. Its a riot. Some nonsense about fake backdrops, like the entire game is a play or show. Very strange... trippy. I wish I played it so many years ago.
solidius23 Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 splinter cell conviction its ok thats all i can say for now only have played it about 45 mins
Inky Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I've gone through a few levels on Splinter Cell. I'm not a huge fan of the previous games but it seems fine to me so far. I've got 24 hours into Just Cause 2 and am still only about 27% complete. but I'm getting bored with it.
solidius23 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 just cause 2 got boring for me after i beat it on 360 then i got it on pc to play with unlimited ammo and such.
Agozer Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Uncharted 2. I believe I'm near the end, based on the story completion percentage.
emsley Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Uncharted 2. I believe I'm near the end, based on the story completion percentage.26 chapters. Man I so wanted it to have 60 chapters.
Krosigrim Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2Infinite Space (DS) MUA2 is alright... gives me something to do as far as being a completionist. Im a Spider Man fan but I dont know if he is my favorite in this game though. Ice Man is pretty decent, and Wolverine is a frantic combo whore... gotta love it. My main complaint is the character models are lacking, some more than others... Thing and Hulk are quite stupid looking, Thing moreso. And you get 1 alternate costume... which usually blows. Also... why is hulk stupid? Hulk hasnt been stupid in over a decade! Oh... and Im sick of the in battle quips and remarks... there are maybe... 4 things before you choose a side that they repeat... over and over. And the PUNS!!! I hate puns, but Ice Man is the worst. He doesnt stop... WTF Infinite Space is pretty good, considering its not very engaging game play wise. The "tactics" of it are pretty washed out. It could be deeper but whatever. I'll not go into it but the game is fun. I just passed the half way mark I suppose and im really digging it.
Skythe Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 I forget which button it is but Spider-Man's Web Mace attack is his best one. He swings it around him in a 360 then slams it forward. Great AoE. I personally found Iceman better in the first one. He sucks against robots since they can't be frozen but I think they can be slowed. Once you unlock Hulk's tackle attack you'll keep him in your party as that's his boss killing move. Only on normal sized bosses though. Tough or big bosses, the move won't be that great. He charges and tackles an opponent down then punches them 3 or 4 times. I was originally using Green Goblin as my boss killer using his Pumpkin Bomb attack but his defenses suck ass. Also, the story in the game is that Mr. Fantastic and I think Iron Man inject/give Hulk Gamma Regulators so that he can be controllable. My party mostly consisted of Deadpool, Invisible Woman, Hulk and Psylocke.
Krosigrim Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Spiderman and Icemans fusion is my boss killer. Get real close and it hits 3 times instead of 2 due to its slight AoE. Ive decimated bosses instantly with that move.
Skythe Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 I can't remember what they do. I either use Hulk and pound them if they're normal size. If not, that's what Deadpool+Hulk is for. I normally knock a boss's health around half way with this Target fusion. Mainly due to collecting all bonuses with Deadpool.
Devia Eleven Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Co-op in Uncharted 2. Wonderful. Damn you, I'm envying your joyous times with your PS3. Why did I want my 360 shipped here instead of my PS "Trizzle"?
emsley Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 GTA episodes from liberty city...Not too impressed so far, combat is really showing its age now.Its still funny as hell though just to punch 5 taxi drivers windows and have them all run after you down the street. Another thing im getting used to is that with the PC i could swivel my mouse any-place when i was walking or driving, on the PS3 this feels very restricted and I crash a lot. still get a thrill from laying out prostitutes and hitting women though Edit:This game is quite drab - I dont think I like it all, and foresee lots of screwed up shooting sections. It feels like shit to play with a pad.
