What did you play most recently?

I've been playing Planetside for the last week and a half, EVERY day.

 

Older MMOFPS, I just can't seem to stop playing.

Last night I tried out Sonic: The Dark Brotherhood. Wasn't great, even though it had a lot of potential. The two big things that kept this from being better were stylus controls, for one. Everything had to be done with the stylus, got old really fast. Also, the graphics were a bit choppy. Looked decent enough when you weren't moving, but once you were, it went downhill.

 

I'm also playing Dementia: The Ward. Fun little fps, with many of the same problems. I haven't played too long yet, but the stylus aiming does work decently well, even if it hurts your hand a bit. The graphcs are a bit outdated, I imagine this would've looked much better on the PC, but they're more than reasonable, even if the textures sometimes lack detail. There's potential for some very nice plot here, but I haven't run into a lot of plot yet, so we'll have to see how that goes.

I was burning Spidy web of shadows and the damn power went out. wasting my very last dvd...... it will prolly be a week before I get more.

needless to say I was pissed.

 

That's damn tragic, I can't image how long it would have taken. I'm familiar with burning PS2 and Wii games, but Xbox 360 games are different, we are talking a wait time of 2x the amount of any old regular PS2 DVD burn.

 

How long do those take regularly?

if I burn at 2.5x it takes upwards of 45 minutes to an hour. I have had luck burning at higher speeds though, up to 8x. but 8x dvd-r DL are a fair bit more expensive then 2.5x.

Played through Time Hollow on the DS. Excellent adventure game that you should check out if you haven't already.

Far Cry 2.

I like it but its time consuming to flock.

Man, what's so great about Far Cry 2? I can't for the life me get into it and just cheated my way through to see if it was more exciting.

 

It's a mediocre FPS game with typical Ubisoft plot. Looks pretty, but offers no redeeming qualities.

Yeah of the current crop of 360 games this is the weakest. Looks nice but the solo mode isn't anything to write home about. Maybe the multiplayer is where it shines? I think I'll stick to Fable 2 / F3 / Dead Space.

Im loving far cry two!

Last night I just burned a bunch of people with a flamethrower and then I tried to stick an IED on the back of a guy but you cant stick it on them.

 

Its a great game but if you go in expecting the best you will be slightly dissapointed.

 

The only bad thing I can say about it really is that when you get a mission it just looks like you turn up at Point A and shoot a bunch of guys just like you would at the road block things.

 

Last night I sneaked into a camp and sniped a VIP with a headshot and just swam back out.

 

I made a road block with two cars and set up an IED on both of them and the arms dealer comes hurtling a long in his stupid truck and BLAM!! My eyebrows are burned off!

 

When you get enemies in the grass just pop of a few flares or shoot a flare directly at soemones face! the fire cooks the crap out of everything!

As Im driving along You can just run over animals, zebra, anitlope, big cows its like I automaticlly aim for them and lol as I do them.

One that makes me LOL though is that everyone in a car HATES YOU!!!!!! Im driving up the road and this guy in a little red car just drives straight into the nose of my jeep gets out and starts trying to shoot me.
