psp looks sexier...but neither turn me on at the moment...

The PSP joypad looks like a poor design - you might get blisters from playing fighting games - but i'll have to wait to play it myself.

Also i wonder if we'll ever get any classic ports (would be different because of teh widescreen). Though, playing Gradius III on this would own.

i think it has 2 on each side but i'm not sure

Both are good-looking handhelds, I wouldn't go criticizing(sp?) either one of them, despite all the flak they have received for various *reasons*.

psp looks easier to break aka no protection of the screen while the ds has that little flap mechanism.

I am just not exited about either. especialy after looking over the launch and soon after launch titles. niether has anything I MUST play. or even kinda sorta want to play.

Like all systems, it takes time before a system gets a game that everyone likes and people start to play :D

For psx it was ff7

for snes it was chrono trigger

and on and on

the only real reason I have to buy either one of those handhelds is that the only handheld I have ever owned in the past was the original Gameboy.

For me I'm sitll gonna wait for ps3 or w/e. I'll just wait for an emulator so I can check it out.

Eh???? Chrono trigger came out close to the end of the SNES life cycle (1995) The must-plays included Super Castlevania IV (1991) R-Type III (1993) and final fantasy VI(1994) not to mention the launch titles like f-zero.

But i see that you are an RPG man.

And at 666ghost: You may have all of the crap, but it's all about how it's utiliized. If these developers exploit the touchscreens etc. in new ways then it will be worth buying.

Wouldn't you like an interactive porn game with the touch screen? I think that'd be right up your alley. Midget porn perhaps.
