BoomBa_GoosE Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 hmmm, well i dont hate the game. but i never really got into it like i did with capcom games or KOFs. i love the graphics and the OST. but i guess the whole aura of the game is a bit too dark for me. maybe it is the weird characters but darkstalkers were weird too. i guess darkstalkers is more of a cartoonish-disney like characters whereas GGX were like straight out rockers from hell or sumthin haha. now if sammy were to aquire i ono, street fighter, and made street fighter under GGX graphics, then folks, we have a game.....a really good one. o yeah, and isuka can burn with the other bad fighting games. ive sed it once and i guess ill say it again. turn button=sshit
Skythe Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 Pfft, you're just not good at Isuka. I know I'll own at it since I owned at MKM:SZ which also had a turn button.
darkmage479 Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 GG keeps getting better but in my mind its still too unbalanced. Air combos are way too easy and many of the characters feel too similar, and get caught in classic fighting stereotypes. Also, there are few defensive options and air combos are too easy - if the game added a one-button parry or samurai shodown type "random counters" it would play better. However the soundtrack is good and it plays wicked fast, not bad by any means but no KOF 98. Note: IMHO. Skythe, stop writing that flame post. Now.

I know I'll own at it since I owned at MKM:SZ which also had a turn button.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> man whatever. u can say im not good, and i can admit that im not even good, (so there goes ur comment.) but i can promise u that there are at least a handful of people in here that can agree with me that the turn button is probably the most retarded thing i ever seen in that game. its a 4 player party game. if there wasnt a turn button, it would most likely be hella fun for 4 players but to be in a chaotic battle with 3 other players and u gotta press the turn button 100 times every game, thats jus ridiculous... and again, i admit it, im not the best at GGI though i do like playin GGX...
Inky Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 I've never played Isuka...... don't really want to either *shrugs* the turn button sounds pretty lame. but then again I hate block buttons (MK series ect.) too.
SlickDizzy Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 This thread will be officially dedicated to all the GX series. From Guilty Gear X to Guilty Gear Isuka.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why not the original? PS1 Guilty Gear is my favorite of the series.
SlickDizzy Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 (edited) Maybe because it wasn't made by Sammy?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sammy has never made the GG games. Arc System Works has always created/developed, various publishers have existed over the years (Sammy, Majesco, and Atlus). Edited November 29, 2004 by SlickDizzy

NYCaliBoy05 Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 (edited) Some of my friends say they either dislike Guilty Gears 2-D fighting style because they prefer the mainstream Soul Calibar II or Dead or Alive games because of the the 3-D set up and the sex appeal it offers its viewers. Guilty Gear X2: Reload is not only unique but also worth checking out. This is not a game where my friends can mash buttons to claim victory and is not for the non experienced or the uninterested gamer. The fighting system is great because the controls are universal in the world of 2-D Fighting Games! To experienced Street Fighter gamers, Ryu's Fire Balls or Ken's Spinning Jump Kick...are the same directional outputs in Guilty Gear. {Potemkin's Mega Fists I & II} The in depth detail placed on the storyboard adds to the gaming experience because this isn't your old street fighter on the Super Nintendo because there was alonly two systems of play.{Arcade and V.S} You can explore the story of Guilty Gear...even if you haven't played the game. I know, I know....with all this wonderful technology in our hands...why didn't we spend thousands of dollors to convert this to 3-D? First of all...you really have to understand thats the beauty is in it simplicity....this is just my personal opinion. So, I think this will grow on ya....jus give it some time. ::Poll:: Who is ur trump card? Kyle - Bridget Ex (Go Roger, Go!) Edited December 28, 2004 by NYCaliBoy05
