Swithin Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 Polls don't open here for an hour. Went to bed early last night to be on time today. Anyway, just checking to see who has voted. "I plan to" doesn't count (and the only reason I'm posting this message is because polls are already open for some of you, I will edit this as soon as I've voted.) Non-US citizens, umm, enjoy our turn-out? ps - PLEASE don't turn this into "candidate x rocks, candidate y sucks!" I don't care. Whatever concern I have for your choice I'll take elsewhere, I advise you all to do the same. I'm just curious to see who cares enough to go vote.
random guy Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 On CNN.com, the estimated voter turnout is 50.5%. That's not very good.
Gryph Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 On CNN.com, the estimated voter turnout is 50.5%. That's not very good.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's a wonderful amount for this country.
Mr.X Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 I'm a non US citizen & I don't know Kerri & his viewpoints.
Jiggs Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 Klaw is right. 50 points is beyond amazing. I already voted. It's going to rain on the junkies standing outside with signs. That's probably why their numbers are so few this year, and would properly explain their little tent. And yes, I'm back, but probably only for today.
Sturmvogel Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 I'm 20 years old....and I've been here for 20 years....but I'm not eligible to vote.
Gryph Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 I'm 20 years old....and I've been here for 20 years....but I'm not eligible to vote. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wait...have you registered to vote or are you not a naturalized citizen? The voting age is 18.
Swithin Posted November 2, 2004 Author Posted November 2, 2004 Well, I just got back. Why can't you vote, Sturmvogel? You do have citizenship, right?
Agozer Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 The last thing I voted in had a 80+% voted turnout. Pretty good I'd say.
Ghosty Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 I'm 14 So I Cant Do crap About It, But I'll Go With Clinton,...
Gryph Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 I just got back from voting. No Diebold machines here.
BoomBa_GoosE Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 just got back as well....very exciting! i thought it would be packed but only a few people there and some people walkin in. i wish everyone would vote....the outcome of this election would drastically change...get that man out of office!!!!!!
AntiWinner22 Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 On CNN.com, the estimated voter turnout is 50.5%. That's not very good.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is damn good, damn damn good for this country. Not good in comparison to other European nation, sure, but for here, it is insane. 130 million voters they say. If that happens, it is a Kerry win. If it is less than that, it is a Bush party in the White House. Anon.
Gryph Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 "Well let's not start sucking each other's dicks just yet." Bush seems to be edging out in Ohio and Florida right now but it's too early to call.
Agozer Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Could someone tell me why Florida is always the bottleneck in these votings? Is it because of the old people or what?
