No,they won't settle with selling PSP games.They want money for PS1 ones too. No way they will allow users to play their own iso's. They give us the emulator and we play the games..haha..no way man. What we're trying to figure out here is how they will do it. Most likely they will use a mixture of emulating the game and porting the controls all packed up in a very secure way.

This is a slap on MS for a job not well done. For more than 15 years games have been pirated. I wonder what it would be like without piracy. People,when given a choice they will use pirated games,especially if they don't have a lot of money. But even those who do,they choose the bad side. I wish the current generation systems can't be modded until their lifespan is over. People can do lots of better things than playing pirated games,sitting all day and downloading games is totally lame. Go out,do some other stuff and you may find it's more interesting. I totally agree with the team's decision not to release their firmware.

Are they really making an emulator ? How will they handle the security issues ? I'm thinking the emu will be integrated in a new firmware and the iso's will be modified somehow so that you won't be able to use your own iso's,just the ones you buy and d/l from them.If they have the balls to go through with it then they must have some serious security in mind. On the other hand they could just port the games,so no emulation involved.This would be somewhat safer.

The only program i found is Psound 1.32 but it doesnt work for some games,as i heard. For example i tried Soul Calibur and..nothing,no sound files were found. I really want to know too if there is another one except Psound.

So if you got that program please post your impressions. Is there any setting that will improve something in Chankast for lower end cards like GF2Mx or GF4MX ?

So if i want to use scanlines in Chankast what do i do ? Also are there other programes that can help the fps ? I have this program 3D Analyse that can emulate various stuff like pixel shader and there are a lot of options there,can you take a look at it Agozer ?

2 years ? Well,there you go,it got tired.. Write at little speed,where's the rush ?? 24x or 32 x will be just fine and still burn fast. I mean it takes 4 minutes to burn at 24x,imo that's satisfying.

I'm not saying you can't technically burn at 52x. If you have good blanks go ahead. But which cd writer would last longer between one that wrote only at 52x and one at 32x ? I think the one which wrote at 52x will "get tired" first. This is the way i look at the situation,maybe you guys buy a writer every 3 months but i don't.

It is not recommended to write at maximum speed. I don't think you have a cd factory there, it's just for personal use and even on 32x a cd is burned very quickly.

Yes,it's no use.It will run very slowly. Focus on PS1 and N64 for now.

You are trying to run origional Dreamcast discs? Those don't work from the cd drive,you have to make image files out of them. edit :cpu and video card too low.it wont run,sorry.

Capcom vs. Snk 2...the osd shows a little extra fps but it is insignificant. It's obvious no important progress can be made without the source code.But there's not even a hello from them,not to mention source.. Come on you guys,come out and say something !! Anything!!

I really don't understand why they just dont release that souce code, if they really quit working on it.. Just say :hey we got married,we got kids,we got hard jobs,we dont work on the emu anymore here's the source,show must go on. But instead,no hello,no f**k you,no nothing, just like they dissapeared in the Bermuda Triangle or something. Anyway, i tried Soul Calibur on this hacked version and the speed really didnt blow me away.So if there's an improvement it's a small one or maybe in other games.

I found this on e-mule. It's a hack of the official Chankast,made by some dudes called Kivez,DarkCloud999 and Vandread As i understand it presumably has more speed. I think we are allowed to talk about it since there hasn't been any sign from the official authors for 2 years.. Is it really better than the official 0.25 ?

I have this game for PC and it has 240MB but also i see some people have the game on 2 CDs. Which one is good,do i have just a demo ?

Of course but my d/l speed is really not that good so i can afford to get roms whenever i feel like it. Is there a way i can take out the clones out of a zip ? Will some program help me or i have to do it manually ?

That is true but it really annoys me when the rom contains only some clones,and Mame reports the others missing when i audit games. It just scratches my sight..ughh.

M$ is too big for that guy.They would even sue their mothers..lol. He is afraid and has every right to be. He didnt take any precautions because he didnt think he would pull it off.If he releases he will easily be tracked down. Plus,this is his philosophy,he is a hacker not a cracker. He just did it to prove himself and the world that it is possible. As i said he can't release now,but hacking the Xbox dvd firmware has just begun.It will appear sooner or later.

Another question on auditing..this time the one that Mame does. I have some roms that contain clones,but not all and when mame scans them i get missing files,which are on fact the missing clones inside that rom. Can i configure Mame not to scan for clones ?
