You think the 9 series is going to be in winter 07 or sometime in 08. This is really a kick in the nuts. EDIT: I read somewhere that the 9800 is coming in November but for like 400 smack-a-ros. I really cant afford that.

Embedding the video is a smart idea but i think people choose to go to Youtube and search for tutorials thier. At least for these kind of things, i think.

I ment for UT3 and Gears of War. Those im buying mainly for multiplayer. And Assassins creed for the single player. I should have been more thorough.

I might go with the 8800GTS if they go very low in price. Im really not the guy who can wave around his money and buy everything he needs or wants. I like to squeeze every little bit out of my money. If i can find one ill post it here and see what you guys think. And as for the overclocking, what about autmatic overclocking (or something like that) is that safe.

I'd rather pirate a game than buy it used. I high five you for that. Last time i bought a game was about 2 years ago. I really hate this mindset. I really do. I used to be like that though until I realized how poorly PC gaming was doing. I can walk into any electronics store near here and pick up almost any new release so its all good. To be honest, im going to BUY assassins creed, and UT3 and Gears of War for the multiplayer. Im really scared of playing games online if they are pirated. I dont like to take my chance .

If its more than 150, then no thanks. Most of the 8800GTS are 200 and up. Unless you know of a site that will have them for 150. Then don't upgrade till you can get an 8800 is my suggestion. Supposedly there will be a refresh of the hardware and the new midrange will be as powerful as 8800 but it's supposed to happen in 2008. If i can save up for one i will. Is thier one in particular that you guys recommend. Theirs like many different kinds of 8800 GTS's. One thats 200-210 (without tax). It would be greatly appreciated if someone does the job of searching one for me . Im not good in the hardware section, if i was id search for one. And if someone can answer my earlier question, to what can i overclock without having to buy a new fan. God, i love this site .

I'm OK with vista, and b/c of DX10 im keeping it. When i go to look at my system information, it says DX10. I dont know what it means but if you would like me to post a picture, then i will. Overclocking scares me. I saw some overclocking programs that are not manual but since i dont need to i wont take my chance. I will try it in a few years. Ohh and how high do you think i can bring it up to. Going to upgrade to a 8600GTS by december. My hard drive space fills up fast, really fast. And believe me by the end of this semester, i wont have any more space left (not because of porn).

Halo is a good game. Maybe not as good as people say it is, but still its good. The graphics are pretty good. I played the first one and got addicted at start until for some odd reason my save file got deleted so I decided to stop playing. Its been about 2 years since i played the game. Probably should play it (thats if its compatible with vista). I also have Halo 2 so I should try that. CRAP, back to studying. *Draws chair conformation for hexane* Mmmmmm organics.
