I got GTA2 on release for £20 (half price) because the idiot assistant in Tempo had put 50% off stickers on the wrong boxes. But my best bargain was picking up a Compaq 486 DX4 100 for £100 shortly after the Pentium arrived (hell £100 for a computer that could emulate at full speed was a great bargain to me).

Ive just seen a screenshot of flashback legends on GBA and there was a suggestion that this game was available on PSX. Can anyone provide further info on this. The PSX version that is.

Youd think being as the World Cup finals only happen every 4 years theyd get it right. I agree Sepp Blatter is a joke but Lennart Johanssen (UEFA) Is even more out of touch. Whilst G14 (Europe Leading Clubs) wouild love a euro league UEFA decide to cut the second group stage from the Champions League - what is the point of rewarding league champions with a knockout competition? and the English FA are not much higher in my opinion. Id like to see a breakaway European League, something like the top 2 clubs from each country, at the end of the season the lower placed of the 2 clubs from each country being relegated back to their domestic league, The champions of which being promoted to the Euro League. But I think this sort of idea couldnt be a success without the players at this level having wages capped.

I heard that the radeon cards are more suitable for the new 3D stuff thats upcoming Doom 3 HL 2 etc although i favour the GeForce cards personally.

(on my Compaq DX4 100 - had to have an official soundblaster though) Although I remember (circa 386 - early 486) trying to get friends to buy Amigas by telling them that an Amiga could emulate PC (PCTask) but PC would never be able to emulate Amiga (Custom Architecture). Interesting how time can change things!

Finally got a copy of Hellfire for the first Diablo, so having plenty of hack n slash fun also found a launcher which allows the first 2 X-Com games to play on XP so been having some turn based fun without running WinUAE. A bit of MoH for something up to date and the innevitable CM4 for my sim/sports fix
