I tried it on the other emus but no go. Only runs on Dualis.
I'm just trying to understand the problem.
(1) On the top screen, if the oil misses the bucket and hits the floor, are you saying that a fire should start?
(2) On the bottom screen, when the oil is poured from the top floor, you don't see it "pour". Is that the problem?
Something for Mic to ponder.
It looks like it will become a nice game, it's basically working already. Nice job!

If you suspect CPU overheating, download a program called Speedfan. It will use the temperature detectors on the various chips and display the temps for you. If temp goes over 60 deg celsius you may have a problem.

I'm sure my mum would appreciate that!

A new version of Daphne, 0.99.6c has been released to fix some bugs in 0.99.6! Daphne is an emulator that emulates arcade laserdisc games.
DAPHNE v0.99.6c- fixed bug introduced in v0.99.6b where framefiles with multiple entries had their filenames truncated to 4 characters.
DAPHNE v0.99.6b
NOTE : this release is primarily to address the most frequent problems that Daphne v0.99.6 users have been experiencing. In other words, it is mainly a bug fix release, with no new features. The next version of Daphne ('cvs version') continues to be developed.
- all strcpy and strcat's in ldp-vldp.cpp replaced with safer versions that cannot buffer overflow
- error messages relating to erroneous framefiles have been improved to ease troubleshooting
- command-line argument size has been increased to 320 characters from 80. This allows people to run daphne from within many nested directories, or from within directories with long names
- a "-nojoystick" option has been added to prevent daphne from using a joystick if desired
- parallel port support for win2k/winxp is now built-in (an external program such as directio or allowio is no longer needed)
- error messages about rom loading failures have been made more verbose to ease troubleshooting

The reviews say its the best behind the microsoft one.
The site still doesn't work here, even after a refresh.
-
It says "The requested URL was not found on this server" up the top.

Is it the end for them?

Metroid and mario have been around for quite a while.
Polarium came out about 2 weeks ago or so, and I reported it in another thread.
Polarium can run on the real DS via wireless. The others are said to be fake but who knows for sure.
None of them run on emulators.
The site looks ok, it's just information, no downloads.

HyperDS runs a few of my demos. It has a very nice front end. It's a pity I can't get hold of a newer version for testing, because I think it would probably do quite well.
This is the list of what does something:
cube_emu : works with a lot of flashing
dsmode4ep : produces some strange colours
first1 : works
ship_emu : starts running in blue, then a bunch of graphics error messages
texture_emu : works - sideways
tri_emu : works - wrong colour
I'll try to describe it. You can choose a screen size of 320x240 or 640x480. Strangely, only one of the screens has been emulated (the top one).
Menu:
File - Load - Binary - (choose a file)
File - Exit
Options - Frameskip - (various)
Options - Show - OSD
Options - Zoom - 320x240 or 640x480
Options - Configure - (see below)
Emu - Resume / pause / reset / Step
View - (debug options see below)
Tools - Screenshot
Help - Check for Update (greyed out)
Help - About
The debugger has these views: Disassembler, memory, Processor, Log, Cheat Finder, Palette, Sprite, Graphics. I know nothing about this, but it all appears to work.
The Options - Configure opens a new window that lets you set up the Keyboard, Joystick/Gamepad, System bios and sound, User Interface - choose Splash Screen on/off.
The Keyboard and Joystick/Gamepad screens have a lovely picture of the DS showing exactly where each button is, and what Key or Button has been assigned to it.
HyperDS is certainly the nicest-looking of the emus. It's a pity it doesn't do much.
I can post a picture if anyone is interested.

Tomorrow.
My thoughts exactly.

I got my licence first time, lol.
I was driving trains for years before I ever drove a car.
Diso had me worried for a few minutes. He said he overturned.
In this country that means you rolled your car. But I guess he just
mishandled the steering and drove off the road.

Good work James

Sounds like you should get at least 1 gig of ram. Ram is always much better than a pagefile.
When you are in the control panel to adjust the size, the current size is displayed.
Loosing variables
in DS Emulators [/pc/ds]

Ah yes I see the differences.
Firstly between yesterday's and today's binaries, the score now works and has the leading zeros removed.
Between today's binaries, I see black fire, I see oil pouring, I see a MISS symbol appearing, I see a very upset woman covered in oil. There are a lot of consequences of 2 faulty variables.
The addition of sound is welcome, it will be a good test for when Dualis gains audio capabilities.
Now, it's up to Mic to work out a solution to the Boolean Crisis.
