I think it only applies to the 7 or so games that had chd's. For them, you don't need the xor's or the 4gb chd's. They just run by using an internal algorithm.

On this computer I have 512mb ram and 500mb swap file, but it's used for internet stuff only, no games. The other computer has 4gb of ram and therefore no swap file is needed. When you get your 2gb of ram you could get rid of your swap file, imo.
I was spending too much time on the computer particularly on various attack systems. But I've been cutting back in the last few months. Now I'm only around to post news and to do mame stuff.
I used the last official release and noticed quite a lot of bugs, graphical issues, etc. Plus it applies hacks when starting a game. Let's hope he's fixed some of those problems.
