  1. Heh, thats just what I need. My own Army of Darkness, except there's no Bruce Campbell-esque character to stop me. Bwahahahaha!
  2. I can't post a direct link to the patch, but as I mentioned in the PM, I could send you the game if you wanted. The game doesn't run in Kawaks w/ loader and doesn't fully work with Nebula. It definitely won't work in NeoRageX (any version). I believe some people have made drivers for FBA and MAME (iq_132 and james, if I'm not mistaken), but it runs very similar to Nebula. I'm not positive on that point, though.
  3. LordKanti, you should try a live victim first as the voodoo priests/esses do (or at least the evil ones). Too bad real necromany is BS, otherwise I would have my own army of flesh hungry monsters that I could use to eradicate world of stupid people (w47ch 0u7 j00 n00bs).
  4. Okay, I thought I missed a post or something that ended up getting deleted. I was just a little confused, but no biggie. Now I fully understand what you're saying (I kinda understood before, but the quote thing threw me). Oh yeah, I meant stray from the arcades (thus adding to the damage the industry has already taken).
  5. A moderator should move this soon (hopefully). Check out -Link removed. Rread board rules.- for the rom. If it's in MAME, just check the MAME section. Otherwise, check the new emulator section and the Nebula and/or Kawaks subsection. You have to sign up (free) to actually get into the site and download the roms, though.
  6. I don't know of any hack for Super Turbo. Your only hope to play as Akuma w/o the code is to use a cheat file. I don't know if the emulator you're using supports cheats or not (you are using FBAX, right?).
  7. Check the alt.binaries.emulators.neogeo or.arcade (or something like that) newgroups. If it's not there, just make a request, someone will probably fill it. You could also search Google or FileMirrors for pnyaa.zip. I personally don't know of any websites that carry the rom. If you want to get the decrypted m go to the RomShare forums and download the patch (check the thread that mentions it and it'll link you to the actual thread). The patch is compressed in a 7z (7-zip format) file. The fixed v rom should in the neogeo newsgroup I mentioned. Note: You need to sign up for the forum to actual see the threads.
  8. Bootlegs are illegal copies of games usually sold as the actual game. Sometimes the bootleggers are sloppy and don't make the copy right. A bootleg is not a beta, but proto's are. I don't think there's a proto dump of Crossed Swords 2, though. It was either a bootleg conversion or a direct CD conversion IF it exists.
  9. Where'd you get that whole quote? I know I wrote the top paragraph, but I didn't write the rest (is that your comments or someone else's?).
  10. Yeah, the cheapest you can go is the CD system, but it doesn't have any new games. I guess you'd save more over time buying MVS (after the system and converter) rather than AES, but it's definitely not a right away thing. Roms are the cheapest solution (obviously), but emulation doesn't have the same feel as an actual system.
  11. You mean Sammy hardware, right? I'm pretty sure (not positive, though) that the Atomiswave is Sammy's, which is based on Sega's Naomi/Dreamcast designs. If I remember correctly, Sammy is the one who will make/publish the new SNK-P games (mainly a new KoF and Metal Slug). I don't know how long they have the license, though.
  12. The only thing about the AES is that most games are more expensive than their MVS incarnations. If you do grab an AES, try and get a MVS converter such as the Phantom-1. Neo Store usually sells them and you can probably grab one from !Arcade! as they're the ones who make it. One day, I'd like to make my own or grab a Sigma, but I could settle for a SuperNOVA.
  13. I don't have a supergun, but you can one from MAS Systems or Great Western Trading. Also sometimes the Neo Store has superguns. I don't know if any of them are any good, but I've heard the Sigma ones (sometimes sold at Neo Store) are pretty good. Go here to learn how to make your own. There are other sites on the internet that cover this too (just use Google).
  14. Like james said, make your own asr.dat. There are many different versions of the rom sets floating around, only you can tell what actual CRCs you have. For the most part, I believe james' dat should work. If anything's wrong, just change the rom name and/or CRCs.
  15. AFAIK, that's a fake. If there is a dump, its either of a bootleg MVS conversion (or possibly a proto) or the CD version converted to MVS roms (like what Razoola did with Zintrick).
  16. Yeah, but it doesn't work in NeoRageX. The original p rom was overdumped (but you can cut that off). The decrypted m rom has been released and someone name Cait has made a "fixed" version of the v rom that supposedly works with other Taito m roms (i.e. Puzzle Bobble 2).
  17. As I said earlier, the rom managers work with other arcade emulators. In fact, ClrMamePro has dat creation support for other emulators such as Raine. Just go to Logiqx's site and you can grab several dats for both ClrMamePro and RomCenter.
  18. Upgrade man. NeoRageX is old news and should be dead (the developers dropped it after all). It's not a bad emulator, it's just that Kawaks and Nebula are a lot better.
  19. You don't have to burn RAW DAO, I personally burn the DAO/SAO since my burner doesn't support DAO. Technically, 80 minute CD-Rs are larger than 700MB (it varies, but it's about 708MB if I'm not mistaken). Also, you can overburn some images (goes with 74 minute CD-Rs too). If all else fails grab a 90 or 99 minute CD-R (if your burner supports overburning or specifically those formats [my other burner supports 90 minute CD-Rs]).
  20. I knew the price for shipping was high (someone mentioned it earlier, I believe), but I'm not too terribly surprised about it. It's still pretty cheap at that rate because most systems sell for $200+ not including shipping. If that was an in country rate, that's ridiculous, but if it's for shipping internationally, it's a little more understandable.
  21. Well, Sammy purchase the rights to create some of the games for Atomswave (sp?), but doesn't have a permanent publishing right. They did this with some of SNK-Playmore's series such as Metal Slug and King of Fighters. Hopefully, Capcom will still be able to publish its own games because if Sammy is allowed to do it from now on, gamers loyal to Capcom will stray (why do people hate Sammy so much anyways?).
  22. That was terrible. I didn't even see it and knew it was going to be crap. Where the heck did they pull the premise for that movie from? It's like they got the license to the game, but not its story. It strays way further from the plot than the RE movie did.
  23. I guess I should've read the article more thoroughly. If all they do is repairs and such, no problem. I really hope this doesn't mean the end to Capcom arcade games as they're pretty much the backbone of the industry.
  24. How much does the X-Arcade stick cost and what platforms is it for? If the price was reasonable and there was a PC version and/or console version (i.e. PS2), I would buy it when I had the money (unfortunately, when is the key operative).
  25. I should've noticed this in the RomShare forums as I was there before I came here, d'oh! Just a side note, I made that dat myself, but it's also been posted there. Nevermind about the MAME driver, it's been posted at RomShare forums also (double d'oh).
