The point is that without it you can't modify a game disk and have it work on the Wii (even with a modchip). This allows for modifying games [to remove region restrictions or censorship, for example]. In their readme, they say they're looking into adding support for dlc and savegames. That would mean you could used hacked savegames or signed homebrew (which would mean you wouldn't need a modchip and you wouldn't have to worry about the legend of zelda exploit being fixed (I think).

Well... let's see... I'm pretty short 5'8" and heavy 225, however, that doesn't mean I'm hugely overweight. At 190 I'm pretty much 3% body fat. No I have not! As I said I am new on this and I purchased the R4 preloaded. I have not been able to load the latest version from the R4 website, I was hoping that someone on the forum had done it and could explain to me how to do it. Many thanks Just download the latest firmware off of the r4ds website, delete _ds_menu.dat and _ds_menu.sys and then just unzip the files into the root of your SD card (if your card is E: unzip it to E:\ btw, don't be nervous about this, there's no way it can kill your cartridge, the worst case scenario is that it scrambles your SD card, (so make backups of your savegames), and you just have to reformat it.

Professor Layton and the Curious Village on DS. It's a fantastic game, pretty much just a standard point & click adventure with some really good and interesting puzzles. The story line is quite good too! The worst thing about this game is how infuriating the puzzles can be, if the puzzle seems too hard, it most likely is a trick question!
