BP I've been playing with Ignite R1 and I gotta say its everything that I've been waiting for with ONE exception! Why can't we rotate the menu 90 degrees? Vertical games are looking ace but I can't make heads or tails out of the menus when going back and forth between games. Even if the menus get resized and squished a bit I can live with that, or maybe keep the same aspect ratio and have the menu letterboxed on the vertical screen. Is it possible I'm just missing something and this is a hidden option somewhere? I've been away from all this for a bit but this is my vote for a big feature request!!!

I'm very excited about a new full release, as are we all. It seems like good times are here again for xbox homebrew. Gavin - newsgroups are the way to go, imho. I can grab it then set up a computer to help seed a torrent once thats going. just my two cents *plink*plink*

I like anthology too. It took forever because of filefactory, but I finished the download of brokenmugen and included was the screenpack for Anthology and a separate pack of converted characters. Its not perfect, but if you like character overload and a reasonable mortal kombat tribute then its fun to have. Mame-b6 or that Mortal Kombat Classic is the way to go for real playability imho.

Right now for xbox mode I think you've got the most important button set as X (for fire or if theres only one button) then the next button is A (for jump, etc.) Most of us with cabs have a street fighter type layout with at least 6 buttons. I think the first button should be A the second B and then the third button for me would be right trigger. But thats just my layout... someone with a neogeo style control panel with 4 buttons might want something different. Red

The language the original emu is written in matters alot as to how well it performs. SDL isn't very good for Wii yet. As someone who has tried that perticular wii mame I can tell you its not worth using just yet. It runs old old school stuff pretty well if your into that, but nothing else. The wii scene is booming tho. I got a 16GB sdhc card so I can run full sets of the best console emulators and their almost as good as my xbox. Its early days still... I can't wait to see what happens next. Red

I know these things aren't very popular anymore, but is there any other way to get MKA for xmugen than problemchild's filefactory links? filefactory has to be the worst file host ever. I've got xmugen fighting jam up and running, but all I really need is some MK action. I'm drooling over that character select screen... I should stop complaining and just keep downloading. Is this up on xbox-sky? I've never had access. Red

kenshiro Has anyone had problems with the button configuration menus? I know that since the neogeo games are in the "others" menu that you can't universaly set up all the neogeo games at once, but I'm having other problems too - CPS1 and CPS2 button config won't let me scroll down to the trigger buttons on player 2 (actually to the macros, you can set the triggers to be other buttons) Player 1 works fine. - Player 3 and 4 are missing the option for macros - Is there any way to have the option to have a button do nothing? Right now every button has to be assigned to something. When you're setting buttons in mame you can tap anything really quick three times and it negates that button\option. Likewise in xports emus you can just wait and then it times out and does the same thing. I bring this up because I built my arcade based on an XArcade joystick layout, and it would be nice to have JUST four buttons for neogeo instead of all the extra stuff that gets in the way when my friends are button mashing. - and lastly, has anyone gotten the universe bios to work? I'm using the free 2.3, renamed and everything but I get nothing. Is this also related to the not being in the right category issue? This could be my error since its late and I just started messing with it. I'm gonna do some more of that and also try manually configuring some of the metal slugs! Red

Yes! It'd be great to have the option to keep horizontal games rotated, centered in the middle of the screen with their correct aspect ratio too if possible. I like these new options BP, can't wait to see them in action. *edit cuz I can't spell*

i was registered there before but they dont let you choose your password,they email you one.so if you delete that email and you cant remember the password well you do the maths. oh yeah cospefogo stop talking $hit. Once you get that email you can change your pass to whatever you want. I did the same thing as you and went back with a different email! They'll take hotmail accts too I think. I totally understand that, but not everyone wants to bother kenshiro for the newest beta everytime he makes some new breakthrough with his app.

kenshiro Have you considered using that site thats between europe and asia to host your beta builds? I'm sure Cospefogo knows the one I mean. Its got a great downloads section and has been "proudly serving leechers for +10 years". I'm not sure if I should give the site away in a public forum just yet. I'm not sure if I can PM either since I do alot of lurking but not alot of posting. No download limits, is free and pretty reliable for my needs. Just a thought, Red

Aright BP, I think I understand you better now in what you're trying to set up. I didn't realize I could do so much with the ini. I've been playing with it a bit tonight.

No No, Leave the screen rotation options as they were! If its too hard to center a horizontal game on a vertical screen then don't worry about it I don't really need that. I am worried about changing the button combination used to exit a game. I built my own control panel and theres no way for me to set up the dual thumbstick combination. I can imagine that if anyone else has used an ultimarc board for their arcade then they'll have the same objection. Back and start works great for me, or even just the right thumbclick like xports emus. Your options menu is fine as it is. I say work on getting more games playable with sound because thats what everybody wants. Over simplification of options makes me feel like I have no say in how I set up my machine. The more options the better with maybe a default switch to fix it if things go terribly wrong! As always, you rock BP. Can't wait to spend some quality time with the next release. Red

I've got a suggestion that I'm not sure I've seen before. I love the way that you can flip the screen around to any position you want for vertical screen games (for shooters and pacman). What I do is position a monitor vertically for oldschool stuff, but when I switch to a horizontal game it fills the screen and won't keep the correct aspect ratio. And before you ask, yes I do have the "keep correct aspect ratio" option on. So, I guess what I'm asking for is a vertical letterbox setting so I can build another xbox cab that has a vertical monitor. And anything you can do for sound in midway games would be miraculous! HF - I think we were on X-S at the same time last night and I was lucky enough to get the beta build from you. I've only tested a few games that are new and said to be working (like Bonk, great version) but if kenshiro says its a buggy build then I'll hold off on really get into it deeper until a more stable release comes out. kenshiro - GREAT work from what I've seen. Its because of you and BP that I built my Xbox Arcade Machine. I'm buying some comfy bar stools just so I can sit down and play for long sessions since the two of you keep updating things.
