I don't know the name either, but do you know if the NEs versionwas a port from the arcade? If so, ten there's a great chance tht MAME does emulate it. If the game was NES-only, then MAME doen't emulate it most likely. Btw, regarding your original post, what are your computer specs?

Well, I wouldn't play those "high-end" 3D games in MAME, but that's just me. If you really must play it in MAME, I'd suggest fiddling with the frameskip option or ultimately disabling sound emulation.

Agreed. But I'm sort of stuck since the latter missions are either "start and die trying" or they have inhuman timelimits. So I'm sort of joyriding and looking for those hidden pakages now.

What's there so difficult to understand? These games were designed to be played on arcade machines which last I checked didn't come with keyboards attached. I was just about to post that. SNKP does NOT keep the emulation scene in mind when they create the game. Right to the point. This is why i play my emulated games with a good joypad or an arcade stick.

If Joust gets taken out of the Arcade, I'll start boycotting the whole section.

Yeah, Vice City was great. You just can't go wrong when you jam 80's music into a game about crime. I think I might go buy it soon. Nothing beats driving at max speed with a PJC-600 under you on a stormy night, while Bryan Adams' 'Run to You' blasts from the speakers.

Sure, pulling off half-circle motions on a keyboard is a biatch, but then again, I can pull those off fine on a gamepad. Fighting games shouldn't be played with a keyboard in the first place.
