The rude generalization of creating IPS files would be the following: 1. Get an an unaltered file. 2. Alter the file yourself (via hexediting or whatever method) or find a file that already has the changes you want. 3. Get an IPS patcher and tell it to create an IPS file. The program then compares the data between the two files and dumps the "difference" data to an IPS file.

Please, do at least that... for my sanity's sake.

There are lots of good free anti-virus programs. Just take your pick.

system Restore's good point are iffy at best. It screwed my OS over more than fixed it.

K`does have a point about AVG though, I remember reading that AVG is a bit iffy when it comes to cleaning infected files. I never said that Norton was bad, far from it; I've been using bitDefender for quite some time, so I'm fine with it.

Personally, I wouldn't touch ZoneAlarm with a 5-foot pole. This is what I would recommend (as I've used these on my old computer: Firewall: TINY Personal Firewall, KERIO Personal Firewall, BitDefender (has virusscanner included) Virusscanner: AntiVir, BitDefender, AVG Antivirus Well, BitDefender isn't exactly free, but it's extremely good. Better than Norton IMO.

The funny thing is that a normal DVD R can only hold about 4.4 gbs and a dual layer is about 8.2. So true. You have no idead how many times I've noticed to my dismay that the anime series I want to burn is just above 4.4 GBs. Those who manufacture DVD-R and the like should start writing the actual amount of storage space on the cover. But then again, these misconceptions originate from the Gigabytes vs. Gibibytes standard.

There aren't many differenced between images, but I agree with you that IMGs and BINs are good. NRGs however, usually are not.

This means that every game that uses Taito's TPS or FX-1B board does not have background music.

Are you using ObjectDesktop?

Sound is fully emulated in most games.
