  1. I can't believe that you expect constant framerates from PS2 emulators. :/ Even my AMD Athlon 64 3000+ with ATI Radeon 9800 Pro doesn't get constant framerates.
  2. This is a known issue with ePSXe. It freezes shortly after Fei's dream sequences start (there's two of them in the entire game, IIRC). To get past lock-up, press F7 as soon as the dream sequence starts and then F7 again when it ends. If it doesn't work, you are doing it wrong. This solution is clearly mentioned in ePSXe's Readme file.
  3. Yes, it is a modified Neo-Geo BIOS after all. In Kawaks/Nebula, uni-bios.rom must be in Neogeo.zip and you must enable it from one of the emulator's menus. It also works in the *regular* NeoRAGEx, by simply substituting the old Neo-geo.rom with the renamed uni-bios.rom It works in MAME too.
  4. Even though this is off-topic already, my best score is around ~68000m. The flashgame is called Nanaca†Crash, based on a hentai game called Cross†Channel.
  5. It's been out for a while and I held it in my hand today at the stores, comptemplation whether or not to buy it. I bought something else, but RE4 is still in my To Get list.
  6. The Universe BIOS is universal, as its name applies. It will work with every emulator, bar NRX on a few occasions.
  7. The most likely answer is that the sets have changed over time. Not all, but some have. Depends on how old your emulator actually was before you decided to download a more recent copy.
  8. * Gameplay/balance tweaks. * Bosses are playable from the getgo. * The inclusion of Zetsumei Ougis (fatalities). Were locked out from the SSVSP AES carts and early versions of the arcade game. * New stages? * Something else I don't remember right now. Yes, it's worthwhile. Play Special instead of the original SSV.
  9. All PS2s can play burned audio CDs because all they contain is regular CDDA tracks. Whether the PS2 can play burned games is a totally different matter.
  10. Yes... and...?
  11. Unfortunately, I have very little information about possible X-BOX ports. Who knows, maybe the ported emulator has a completely different menu layout or then it's based on an older version.
  12. For the direct rom patches that I've seen, they only unlock bosses and hidden characters are only available for Arcade mode, not Console mode. Using the Universe BIOS most likely helps in this matter, since it has a built-in cheat database. ... Or when someone posts a working cheat DAT. Personally, I prefer the Universe BIOS though.
  13. Looks like you've been only listening to the overclocking enthusiasts. Yes, Omegas offer a wide range of options for overclocking but they are also better optimized than the regular Catalyst drivers. Personally, I've noticed smoother framerates in high-end games.
  14. What are the extra characters in Cadenza anyway?
  15. Yes and no. In a sense, your statement is incorrect. Act Cadenza is for the PC as well, as an extension called Re-ACT Final Tuned that adds most features that Act Cadenza has. It's a part of the DVD version called Melty Blood Re-ACT Final Collection that has Melty Blood/Re-ACT/Final Tuned + a few extras and the last official patch. It's true that Act Cadenza hasn't been *officially* ported to the PC, but with Re-ACT Final Tuned that is a moot point.
  16. The what now? This movie has completely gone under my radar, but I guess since the europeans always get all the cool stuff very late, this is not very surprising. I just know that it's the german's fault again.
  17. This is pretty old already, but it just proves how retarded MPA and RIAA really are.
  18. I've just stopped by to tell that Penn & Teller are awesome.
  19. Melty Blood does have a fan-translation that can be found in The Whirlpool. I'm quite sure it doesn't work with Re-ACT and ACT-Cadenza though.
  20. Kawaks doesn't have a control sensitivity option, and I'm thinking it's more of a game feature... ... Or then it's partially your adapter's/controller's fault.
  21. You could just use Omega Drivers, and a speed boost and a slew of other optimizations. Furthermore, it doesn't come the the CCC, but ATI Tray Tools, which doesn't require the.NET Framework, and it's better overall.
  22. Welcome. EmuTalk is an awesome place. Oh, and give my regards to Clements.
  23. Yes, I've notice that too. Windows XP has trouble handling filenames that are ridiculously long (or at least well over the 64-character limit that the CD-ROM fomat has).
  24. Is it really too much to ask that one writes the full name of a game even once? In the case of the likes of DOA, the name's abbreviation has been pretty much standardized by the developers themselves. Yes, you made the thread for those who know about NGBC, but there are also others that read the threads, not just those who know about it. Everyone has a right to know what a topic is about by simply looking at the title. Now, little ambiguity never hurt anyone and can spark curiosity, but something like this just adds to the confusion.
  25. If you are going to make a topic about a game/software/whatever, DO NOT abbreviate its name in the topic title, unless you are absolutely certain that everyone is familar with it. I don't care what you do afterwards, but at least put some effort into making the topic title understandable to all readers. Personally, I knew what NGBC meant, but there are a lot of people who don't. God damn, we should put this in the board rules.
