  1. I ripped some music using kawaks. Works like a charm, thanks! It's WAY easier then using vx2wav way.
  2. CPS-3 is not naomi. Capcom dumped CPS-3 because it sucked and was too limited. Namoi was way better all around so that's why Capcom totally abonded its previous board. I'm pretty sure it isn't emulated anyhow due to lack of interest. I mean the only real popular thing made on the CPS-3 board was Street Fighter 3 and you can get all of those for Dreamcast with no problem. It wasn't like Killer Instinct were it's impossible to play the arcade version without emulation (SNES crappy port doesn't count). Street Fighter 3 I think turned away more fans then gained. When I went to the arcades in my area there was always these huges lines it seemed like for the latest CPS-2 fighter, but when SF3 came out there never was a long line at the machines. That's just from my observations. When it gets harder to pick up Dreamcast and the discs for the games I could see it happening, but right now I doubt there's much interest. I'd rather see Naomi emulated anyhow.
  3. You wanna know what's funny? Using my controller I can't get off ANYTHING in Kof2003, but yet if I load up like Kof97 or any of the previous incarnations, I have no problems. It must be crappy controls like the developers did for Killer Instinct arcade to try to seperate the pros from the button mashers.
  4. Well, the big problem with all Silent Hill games is their only creepy the first time you go through them. Afterwards they get kinda lame. It would be cool to have a survial horror game with randomized events or better AI that can react incredibly smart to your moves or stalk you. SOMETHING to keep the game fresh. Now, the origional Silent Hill was pretty creepy the second time I played through it for a different ending, but a third time I was like "Oh, whatever." I think it was because the graphics were so bad on the PSX that it added to the horror of the whole thing. Part 2 after beating it once I was sorta bored trying to play through it again, but I wanted to see the dog ending. I haven't finished part 3 yet so I can't make a full decision. It wasn't like System Shock 2. For some reason I'm always creeped out when I played that game. It's probably because the enemies roam and you can get attacked while accessing the menus.
  5. I thought the guy who wrote the fact for Tobal 2 had enough trouble on his hands. 300 characters would be amazing!
  6. If you're old school, you'll know where this came from. "The president has been kidnapped. Are you bad enough to save him?"
  7. The differences between Double Impact to Third Strike was way more massive then the origional SF3 to Double Impact. There is one thing I hate about Third Strike and that's they totally screwed up Sean. Sean was GREAT in the previous two incarnations, but they made him totally suck in third strike. I guess it's cause Capcom don't like somebody showing up Ryu for best character in a game.
  8. There is one thing that I hate about mame. For some reason it has crappy gamepad support. When I use my sidewinder in mame, nothing works! I have to move everything on the direction pad slow or it doesnt' register. Yet, on Kawaks everything runs fine as if I was playing it on my xbox (which he wishes he was playing kof2003 on right now).
  9. Yeah, I just used vx2wav and it wasn't pretty. Agozer, what do you mean by log WAVs through the Universe BIOS? NeoMaster, let it play through what and log it how?
  10. There are a couple of catchy tunes that I liked from a handful of neogeo games, is there any way of extracting the music from the roms?
  11. It's not a good move if developers have to make sacrifices. Now, if they can get away with less memory and not sacrifice any performance then it's cool.
  12. I liked Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer. WORST GAME EVER is if you ever owned a N64.. Deadly Arts. Runner up is Pit Fighter. I remember when SNES came out for Christmas I asked for Zelda:Link to the Past, but all the copies were out, so my mom got me Pit Fighter instead! I still have mental scars from that game.
  13. I thought CTHD2003 was cheesy (played it on my Xbox). It's KOF2001 with hacked Street Fighter Alpha 2 backgrounds, bad music, and a hacked Iori.
  14. 9600XT is worth the price. 9800XT is not. You get like 5 extra fps over the 9800 Pro. Not worth it. Neither is the 256MB pro version. 256 is a gimmic now. By the time games really need it, better video cards will be out (the R420 perhaps). So, if you feel like blowing an extra $40 and don't care, get the 256MB versions. Also, 9800Pro>5950ultra in AA/AF
  15. EX1 was cool. EX2 was less cool. EX3 was super uncool.
  16. I have it. Dunno where I could upload it for you. I have Kof94-Kof2002 soundtracks. Minus Kof2001.
  17. Yeah, I got a friend when playing against in Street Fighter Alpha 3 for the PC, he can do combos and all the supers with no problem with the keyboard. It's so strange to watch...
  18. Actually, is MS hasn't of bought Bungie they would have either died or been bought out by Sony. Bungie was under financial trouble and was worried they wouldn't have the funding to release Halo at all. Rockstar was suppose to have publishing rights to Halo for the PS2. Imagine how the game would of liked if it came out for the PS2! Plus, Halo suffered from rushing since Bungie almost had to scrap everything from the PC half to be rebuilt on the Xbox hardware.
  19. The ATi 9700 series brought OpenGL2.0 support to home PCs! SILLY! Yeah, OpenGL is dying. OpenGL used to be better then DirectX, but as of DX8 it's pretty much been the other way around and DX just keeps getting better and better. Rule of thumb with ATi's drivers. Always stay one driver release behind.
  20. If SNK wanted to, they could make a KOF game with every character from every King of Fighter. Even every viration of them throughout the years. Then, the world would be too perfect and implode.
  21. There's only one OpenGL game coming out anytime soon and that's Doom3. True, the engine will most likely follow a bunch of other games, but still. Carmack even said himself that he 9800Pro leads in framerate at certain parts and the FX 5900 leads in others. 9800Pro smacks down anything nvidia related in DirectX9, plus it's cheaper! Why do you want to pay more for less preformance?
  22. How much money you got? There are really only 3 cards you want to look at. Radeon 9600 XT. Radeon 9700 Pro. Radeon 9800 Pro. nVidia dropped the balls past the Geforce4 Ti series (which was frequen sweet) but ATi owns the DirectX 9 era. Head over to newegg.com and see what you can find.
  23. They could make a game with 500 characters now! Companies just don't want to. Remember, Tobal2 had 250 characters and that's on PSX.
