  1. Here is a great piece of homebrew for the gba that is currently being worked on and its called holy hell. original website http://holyhellgba.blogspot.com/ info The correct color weapon destroy blocks of the same color. Adjacent blocks of the same color will explode creating a CHAIN reaction. Shooting continuously at the same color blocks will rise up your CHAIN meter as a score multiplyer. Drag over a block of the same color of your ship will charge your bomb gauge. scoring mechanic/gameplay here you can find a "simple" explanation of the scoring system used in the game. shooting one block gives you 1pt
shooting 100 blocks of the same color continuously makes you reach color COMBO.
combo add to your score 10000pt.
any combo loop you realize without dying, multiply the value of a block x10. the max value of a block is 1000pt.
any combo loop you realize without dying makes you gain 1000pt x total combo at the end of a level.
destroying any block in a level makes you gain 30000pt.
NEVER shooting and only eating blocks of your color makes you gain 5000pt any level you pass.
using bomb and destroying more than 10 blocks at a time makes you gain 100pt
using bomb and destroying more than 50 blocks at a time makes you gain 500pt
eating more than 8 blocks without shooting bomb rise the value of a block to 10pt
eating more than 50 blocks without shooting bomb rise the value of a block to 100pt
eating more than 100 blocks without shooting bomb rise the value of a block to 1000pt and actives "block eater" mode.
when "block eater" mode is active you can use your bomb freely and the blocks still give you 1000pt each link. http://www.mediafire.com/?vtwy7anmwgt09lu plays fine on xboyadvance. thanks go to the original developer for this new game.
  2. r3 is posted at a few different sites now.
  3. i am presuming megaman 8bit deathmatch does not contain any actual wad files for the game? WAD files for the game are included, but you can't just use the WAD alone in any Doom source port aside from skulltag as far as I know. The changes are quite extensive. Xboyadvance, the madmab version, allows you to set two different screen resolutions, one for GBA and one for regular gameboy. That would be nice to have because right now in coinops only one can be proper resolution and the other gets stretched. have you tried the wad file for megaman deathmatch in odamex??
  4. i am presuming megaman 8bit deathmatch does not contain any actual wad files for the game?
  5. jodo you might want to delete that link because we are not to link to sites with rom, xbox games and stuff like that on this site, just letting you know dude.
  6. the games you mentioned actually run on mameox0.72 so that is the core that is needed if you are going to attempt it.
  7. post some pics then when its finished..
  8. if you have another dashboard like unleashx on your xbox then that might let you change it back to the original name.
  9. i dont know if you are playing off a disc or off you hdd but if you use xbmc to ftp megaman8 then that shortens the file name so it works with the fat-x 41 character limitation. it could also be possible for you to alter the txt file in which the games are listed to a shorter name, but i am not 100% sure about that best see what bp thinks. also looking at the pcsxbox compatibilty list megaman 8 and star wars dark forces seem to play fine, maybe you might need to use the standalone pcsxbox emulator for those 2 games. http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=238506
  10. if you are still looking for suggestions then this game is perfect for a cab. Sonic Riders for the original xbox. Its fuckin great. oh and check your pm.

  12. Just released recently is this brilliant new homebrew doujin/caravan shmup for the famicom/nes called Blade Buster. vid. link. http://www.2shared.com/file/blbS7s7U/BladeBuster.html works great on any nes emu. thanks goes to the original developer of this great new piece of homebrew. N/JOY.
  13. for anyone who is interested you might notice that the sound in mk2 is very low if you go into the ingame menu and activate the dipswitches then there is an option to make the sound louder. i think this should work for nba jam and nba jam te if you wish. thanks to evil1 for posting about this.
  14. if you are wanting to remap games then this is very easy to do. just go to the ingame menu as usual then go to general options or something like that, you should see the control options for up,down, left, right, button 1 and so on.just highlight one of the in game controls and hit the A button on your controller then select whichever button or control you want to use, then leave it and your new controller option should appear.
  15. click on where it says save file to pc.
  16. if anyone is having problems launching the midway games namely mk mk2 narc nba jam nba jam te. then here is what you need to do. just put the following roms into a folder called ROMSMIDWAY,the folder is in the coinops inferno folder. then you will need pointer files because these games are running off a different core which the rest of the mame games are not using. here are the pointer files in this download i just put up. http://www.2shared.com/file/3kaSjwBI/pointers.html just unrar the file and put each of the 5 pointer files into your coinops roms folder.DO NOT unrar the pointer folders they are meant to be .zip files. once the 5 pointer folders are in the roms folder then just rescan your roms and you should be good to go.

  20. Originally released in 1995, Horace in the Mystic Woods was released only for the Psion-3 series of palmtop machines. Fifteen years later, armed with the original source code and graphics, I'm trying to bring Horace back to his spiritual home on the ZX Spectrum, where his adventures first began. This is not a modern-style "re-imagining" of the game, but a warts'n'all remake where I'm trying to keep the gameplay as close as possible to the original game, whilst expanding the graphics for the new (old!) platform. thanks go to bob smith who ported this over to the spectrum from michael ware original game. link. http://www.2shared.com/file/fRwOsIQK/hitmw.html
