  1. If you had purchased the collector's edition, you would've gotten one of those nice box things that had space to put the second Digital Devil Saga case in. I need to pick up the second one, yet. I just beat Advance Wars DS and unlocked Von Bolt, I'm still playing World of Warcraft, and I've got a little Disgaea going on the side. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I did get the special box set. It came with the music CD too. DDS2 fit perfectly too. Was there a special edition of number 2 though? Because all I got was the game. (and boy are these atlus games hard to hunt at your local EBgames)
  2. I apologize. I thought the "Spam" forum was a place were junk were junk threads ended up. ; ;
  3. I thought this would be a neat topic idea. So, everyone share your thoughts and opinions on the games you are currently playing. I'm re-playing SMT: Digital Devil Saga I right now in preparation for Digital Devil Saga II. I've watched the intro movie and played a bit of the intro dungeon. It's looking mighty fine. Love the new tunes and the berserk forms looks awsome. Though, i'm wondering why they weren't bundled together... Looks/plays exactly the same. I'm also playing Vampire - Bloodlines. Loving the story... however, performance leaves a lot to be desired. It's strange, the game plays the same regardless of settings. It also runs better with AA turned up to 6 (what the hell?). The combat is funky... feels like GTA3. Firearms physics and system are so lame. You'd think a game based of the Source engine would handle that a lot better. Still, it's a good game and I'll keep playing it.
  4. Online Petitions.... But yeah, I agree.
  5. You know, I might have actually watched this movie... but... Spy Kids 3D... That's all I will never remember.
  6. They've been butchering the story since the first one... and not replacing it with something adaquet (like the Spider-man movies). So, this should be no surprise. :/
  7. Because being racist on the internet is funner then being you. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ... sometimes it's better to say nothing at all K'.
  8. Lol. I didn't even notice K's comment... Pretty random.
  9. My world is more significant then your's. Mostly because I am god among men. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Right.
  10. Perhaps in your insignificant world. Black is black. Nothing will ever be able to replace is.
  11. MS should of really made it widely known that the Xbox 360 would have heating issues... This was covered in a lot of articles that were comparing Xbox 360 specs. "Xbox 360 and PS3 will have heating issues." I remember this... Yet, they couldn't even think of putting a giant sticker on the box that at least told the people to keep it properly ventillated.
  12. White PSP is just ugly in my opinion. But, if it's really something you want... >_>
  13. That's quiet an interesting angle... I also hear that they are NOT planning to even go up against MS or Sony. They plan, to find a place for them alone... rather then risk (and probably lose) going up against them. Wise move I'd say, they have tried to be too different in the past, but at the same time go up against the other major companies. They haven't faired to well in that war, maybe this new angle will work. Also, DS is really popular? I don't know anyone who owns one. (though I know tons who own a SP)
  14. Well, I don't know about you guys... but I rarely ever buy stuff without knowing what i'm buying. That's the beautiful thing about the internet. Reviews, and lots of them. Surely everyone in this forum can find a reviewer they trust? I personaly don't give a crap what IGN says about any RPGs, but if someone over at RPGfan tells me a game is crap, I'll seriously take what they are saying into consideration. I also don't think, for the most part... People understand what quality is. One of my buddies... lets call him, "Typical" gamer... Bought a Xbox 360 on the release and is enjoying all his games. COD2, Tony Hawks American Wasteland and Perfect Dark... All rehashed garbage in my opinion, but he loves them. Also, really... How much worse are games? Everything in that article is strictly based on opinion. Where Atari 2600, Commodore 64, etc. games really that much more Sophisticated?
  15. Who are you talking to Dooz? I haven't even been talking about the Xbox 360, just merely trying to explain to K' that FFXI is only a level grinding MMORPG if you make it one. I have played the Xbox 360 as well, it's looks pretty neat. COD2 looks pretty nice (though, it doesn't look like it has x4 AA). Tony Hawks American wasteland looks nice too and Perfect Dark as well (though I did notice some slow downs... so much for solid 60FPS). I don't know about every seeing anything unique, this is an Xbox after all. Anything worth playing will be on PC as well. But I know the quality of new games will probably better. No game is using the 360s 3 cores at the moment correct?
  16. What you describe is just hitting the party scene instantly, and exclusively with your time playing FFXI. In FFXI, you can make a name yourself without ever heading out of the starting region. Crafting? Ever try it? It's hard to start out, but if you start in Bastok you can become quiet distinguished goldsmither/smith by simply farming your own fire crystals and mining your own materials. Fishing in Windurst is also very profitable. Woodworking in San O'ria is also something else to consider since it requires zero loss if you are willing to farm the materials. Crafting isn't your thing? Try Notorious Monster hunting... No, I don't mean those over camped ones, I mean those hundreds of others that don't get attention. They often drop fun, neat little items. You want to get rich, but don't have a lot of time to play? Simple... play the import/exporting games... bring materials from other regions to those that don't have them. There are also Burning Circle fights if you wanna have the chance to gain a lot of money fast. There are so many quest to do. They often give interesting back stories to the cities and it's characters. CoP missions are extremely hard and fun, and only require you to start at level 30. The story is so interesting too... I remember my friend almost shed a tear at the end when we reached the meadow... ... There is so much to do K'dash, it's a shame you didn't get to see half of it. I know I missed a ton of things, and no, you don't have to rush to level 75. I've been playing for two years and my highest job is 65. At any time you can choose another job and start again.
  17. That's just BS. I've played games like WoW at the resolution and it looks just fine. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry man, but you don't understand. Wow plays nothing like FFXI. The battle-log is extremely important in FFXI. On screen damage counts, and messeges are few, and generaly worthless. Jobs like Red Mage and Ninja need to pay close attention to the battle-log. FFXI is team based game, you can't solo anything like you can in Wow. Everyone needs to perform a certain job and they need to work together.
  18. What's up with you today K'? You arguments are... weak. Just no. Xbox 360 will not look better, in fact it will look worse. 1024x768 cannot possibly give you all the screen size you need for a game like FFXI. Also, PC version will be getting all those texture enhancements the Xbox 360 will be getting. PC will always win in terms of raw graphic power. Did I ever say it wasn't? It's a fact, US has more PC gamers then Japan. Please don't talk about things you do not understand. Honestly, the game is more about community then ever before. I've been playing it for two years remember? RoZ/CoP expansions finished and I know this game isn't about just racing to level 75. Of course there are those people who choose to make it a race, but those people do not last long in FFXI because making friends is a necessity. So what? Zero commitment required. The game is beautiful and runs like a dream. It has an interesting storyline. So what if it's just hack & slash?
  19. No. PC version already supports higher resolutions then the Xbox 360 version, MUCH higher background resolution (registry hack) and it already looks far better then the Xbox 360 version (from what i've been in the screenshots). No. Maybe in the US, but in Japan most players use the PS2 (since japan isn't big on PC gaming). Eh? FFXI isn't really a grindfest unless you make it one. About a million other things to do. GW is a good game in it's own right... A game about just having fun and making your character look as badass as possible... Purely about aesthetics. Kind of a good counter-balance for FFXI, which requires you to plan the life of you in game avatar. I don't like Wow, everything is just too easy.
  20. I know this. I've been playing FFXI for the past two years. They won't be making any changes that will make it more like an "Xbox" game. Which is why it's bound to be a failure in the US, where games like WoW are praised. FFXI itself has grown stagnant, less people then ever... The community has settled down. New players today have it extremely hard... Everything is so hard to obtain. It's a player run economy, and unless SE planned to change this in the future (doutful) Xbox players are gonna end up having more of a job then fun.
  21. What's really differetn this time around? MS has some Square-Enix support, but I dout they will be releasing any flagship series games on the Xbox 360. ... Final Fantasy XI doesn count, in fact FFXI seems like such a bad choice on so many levels. MS caters to a crowd that likes flashy graphics and fast gameplay. FFXI is a game that requires dedication, everything is hard in that game. Unless SE is planning to add Xbox 360 servers (doutful) or making it extremely casual friendly (no way in the hell the current player base would accept this) it will fail.
  22. Watching the finale... Very nice.
  23. I actually manage to watch all the Episodes (those weekly on re-runs really help). It's pretty damn good... That's right, a good show on Fox!
  24. Well, thanks for all the feedback guys. I should of known this would be harder then it sounds... Hell, even Zsnes still emulates the SNES slow downs (and that emulator is beyond perfection).
