    Other stuff

Well, past Christmas, lets see... * VBA-M now has x64 support and is mature enough for a public beta * I might do more work on Rice Video, to add more post processing stuff * I added a patch for GlideHQ to support HQ2xS and LQ2xS * Wrote several Kega Fusion plugin filters that use the HQXXS algorithm * Wrote a basic keygen template Not to mention, I am writing a new application for use. Its aim is to be in pure C++. With objects, classes, whatever. Sorta like a testbed for some things I am working on. Namely a shader wrapping class and a BASS sound system object to make things easier to use in C++. Not that BASS needs it but meh, a class would be nice. It will include my binary resource code as implemented in gltest, which I released earlier in source form. Would be useful to crackers, keygenners, whatever. Also seen libv2 in DLL form, which is uber cool. Not to mention being modded for Vista, which is nice. Might make a player built around that too.... Who knows, I have too many ideas for things I wanna write. I would appreciate it if people could post useful things they want.
  2. Update: VBA-M now has native x64 support. Compiled build on my server for people willing to test.

    gltest Source code

Well, it is a program that tests your video card's OpenGL capabilities...
  4. And thats exactly what we are trying to achieve. By combining all the best features of all the different builds into one, there will be zero need to change. Plus, with the brand new emulation cores for GBA, it might give people more incentive to use it, since CPU usage is a lot lower than previous and official releases.... Sounds like shameless self promotion, but meh.. There's still a lot of things to merge yet and implement though. Nach and I need to clean up the Linux port more, too.
  5. Added e-Reader support to GBA core. Its in current SVN, but yet to make a compile. Loads of renderer fixes too...
  6. Sin and Punishment Perfect Dark Conker's Bad Fur Day Jet Force Gemini
  7. Finally decided to let a part of me go.... Here's my labour of love I have been working on for Glide64, in source form. Its with a BSD license and is all written in C. Its been fun working on this, but now I think that it is complete. And as such, the code is free to mangle, steal, whatever. I don't care. And this is my first blog entry. Huzzah.
  8. You could use the sources from GZIP, since gzip uses Lempel-Ziv compression...Then you can derive the decompression code from that.
  9. buzz - RTL.tune0001 (trance) Note: I am a tracked music freak.
  10. I always thought GameSpot to be a reliable site for reviews...Guess Game Revolution is better: better humour, no commercial influence really, simple grading system....
  11. Impossible Mission Any of the Boulderdash games
  12. Of course. When its in SVN, I will make a compile.
  13. Yes, its a up to date video codec. Its often used in HDTV applications like Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, and its very efficient in compression.
  14. Thanks! Also, it seems CaitSith2 kept his patches minimal, which will help me a lot when I implement this functionality to the new 1.8.0 beta 3 core. It seems to be based on the 1.7 core, but that hasn't stopped us from adding support for the various VBA buiilds.
  15. Any source code relating to derative builds of VBA is more than helpful in my and the other dev's causes. I'd be glad to have a copy of this source code for e-Reader support. Thanks for the mirror too. The current one should not have ads though...which is here: http://vba-m.ngemu.com/vbacompiles/ Sorry for not replying earlier, I have been extremely busy with coding this and other things...
  16. We now have RAR and 7-Zip archiving support added in, thanks to DJRobX and especially Blargg for the prerelease of his special archive library for us. I might compile a new build with this support.
  17. Sorry for replying late, been having birthday celebrations today Anyway, here's something yous can play with. Its built on the newest SVN code. Remember this is still a very early WIP, and so expect things to not be fully working right. Emulation core work is still heavy and we are hoping to get RAR/7z support added, thanks to blargg's upcoming archive handling libraries.... You might need the November 2007 DirectX runtimes installed. EDIT: Please note that I have link protection on those links so you might need to copy the link to a new tab or window to open it.
  18. We managed to get the new core in. MasterPhW, we now have the 1.8.0 source code. Appears that it was just on the VBA CVS after all . There's still some teething problems with the new code, which might take some time to iron out before another test build comes out. Personally, I got some renderer changes I want to make, such as adding better filtering to the OpenGL renderer.
