ok, this is my cousins pc and i first had it setup with win2kpro and was fine for a few months untill it got the bsod not being able to get into win2kpro in any way. so i then thought i'd try putting in win2k again but it gave me ochi1394.sys or pcmcia.sys is corrupt error when i tried doing a fresh install yet this is the same cd i used when i installed it before and on other pc's i tried another copy and gave me the same result. i then said the hell with it and tried installing xp, it gave me setupdd.sys could not be loaded error and this happend even on my legit xp home edition cd so i'm like WTF and i then tried older windows 95-me, all gave me errors either dealing with the cab file or some other file. now heres the kicker: i thought it was his hdd that went bad so he got a new one and still the same errors; thought it might've been his dvd-rom not reading the cds right so he got a refub dvd-rom and still the same errors; my last thought might've been his ram gone bad, bought a new 128mb stick and still the same errors the one thing i know he hasn't replaced that does need replacing is the laptop's battery as its dead and the cmos battery was dead but i already took care of that and it didn't cure his problem either heh anyone have any ideas what could be done? one last note, he doesn't have a floppy drive but i can get access to one. Edit: after doing some digging around, i believe i killed the new watch battery by soldering it so i'll get a new one tomorrow heh

at the most, the problem is proly due to the fact you are running the xbox in pal which i think was fixed in the later versions. grab the latest fba-xxx and use the latest fba-xxx pro patch to patch the xbe and see what happens. just a minor note: most of the banned roms and such on the baed fba disc will need to be updated.

well i thought i'd try the windows update and sure enough it d/l that genuine crap and scanned my cd key and said it was invalid heh. i do own the home edtion but i perfer professional version and thats the backup i have of it. i think i can live without the updates untill the next windows comes out

i think its best to now use HK$'s latest mameox128 as it work for ppl with 64mb xbox's as well

yea i recently grabbed the japanese version for ps2 and its bad overall. it handles well the game itself is poorly done much like what capcom did to capcom fighting evolution where it feels pointless to play it after 30mins or so. i hope the next one will be better cuz right now, kof:mi has more replay value then neowave.

xecuter 2.6ce will work fine with 1.0-1.6 so long you are using the proper bios for your version which in your case is a 1.6 bios. also you'll need to use the 1.6 lpc fix that comes with x2.6ce opps didn't see the solderless part hehe, well xecuter does have a 1.6 xapter now so keep the mod heres a link to one: http://www.modchipman.com/xapt3r-16-p-509.html
