  1. Dangerous religious territory? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Now that's funny, considering that symbol has been a part of the 1Emulation logo for 3 years now at the top left of your screen. Nothing religious about it. I also don't see how EMU-LMAO thinks it's just a reverse san-serif "a" because it doesn't look anything like that. The symbol is basically a 1 and E slapped together, to symbolize 1Emulation. And as for "The Revolutionary Force in Entertainment!" .... that's our current motto for this version of 1Emulation. Before, we used "The People's Emulation Site!" You can probably see where I'm going here.
  2. It's a good quote.
  3. Are you ready? Only time will tell.
  4. Oh man, that's got to hurt. Credits to Digg.
  5. If we are, I promise you nothing is going to change, including for better or worse. At the end of the day, EMU-LMAO is just another website on the Internet. It's our choice and decision if we want to make it affect us. And as I closed my second paragraph in the news post, EMU-LMAO is Emu-Laughing My Ass Off. We're not supposed to take it all seriously.
  6. EMU-LMAO, our resident National Enquirer, is the only currently active website that criticizes other emulation sites. They have just released their 2001-2003 archives (also references lots from years before 2001), which includes a wealth of great reading material. It was actually posted a few days ago, but I finally got to posting about it today. I am also surprised on how much interesting stuff there is to read from the past, especially since it's only from the emulation scene. Lots and lots of good old fashioned drama! EMU-LMAO is a great site to read and see how one man can criticize emulation sites for the crap that sometimes we do on purpose or by accident in a given week. Sometimes it's 1Emulation, other days it's "other" emulation websites. Some of our staff members dislike it, but I absolutely love it. Positive criticism (some may see it negative, but I don't) that is sometimes not available here is sometimes far better read elsewhere. Some of their criticism should of course be taken as a grain of salt too. After all, it is Emu-Laughing My Ass Off. Definitely check out their archives if you're interested in the old days of emulation. »» http://emulmao.emuchrist.org/archives/ [Archives] »» http://emulmao.emuchrist.org/ [Homepage]
  7. No, it's a random picture from the outer reaches of your mind.
  8. Happy Birthday Mooney! Stay stafe, be happy, live long.
  9. Speechless. Credits to Digg.
  10. After you knock them down with that shovel, I'd step on them. Elaborate please. EDIT: These cheesy short sentences you guys are spitting out ain't helping the discussion.
  11. It won't turn into a flamewar, unless you want it to. The purpose of this thread is to share your comments, no matter how strong or small your feelings are. Therefore, do share, and I'm sure people will keep this thread well-mannered.
  12. Seeing as how the Olympics are a world event, what are your thoughts about this?
  13. Just wanted to mention to you, Exp44, that you're currently 12 posts away from being a Premium Member. Pick up that post count and you should enjoy the rest of what 1Emulation has to offer.

  15. It seems the server got busted again last night for quite a few hours. Thankfully, we fixed it again, and we even found what the problem was. This time it appears it was only a server software issue.
  16. I don't know if I'll ever buy any first person shooters these days. Last I played COD3 on the 360 and I got tired of it after an hour. Luckily, I only rented the game, and didn't purchase it. I also played Crysis and gave up on it after a few missions, due to boredom. I really want to try out Portal though, as I've heard so many great things about it. I also have been keeping track with Wii news. I'm still hoping we'll be able to play backups soon enough without a mod-chip, but it seems that some people in the scene are afraid it'll kill the console. I guess it's a debate with all the hardware hackers. In other news, Microsoft is making their own Wiimote. If it is successful, this could potentially stick a knife right into the gut of the Nintendo Wii. All the Wii has over Microsoft is game play innovation. Once Microsoft takes that away, all Nintendo will have left is the exclusive Mario and friends.
  17. So anything new in your life that has happened in the last week? Maybe you bought a new gadget, a new phone, or TiVo? Have a seat. Let's talk.
  18. I don't know if I can really answer that right now. I have discussed with miskie that I want to buy another server for our upcoming big changes, and the more this happens, the more I think we need it. At the same time, miskie proves a good point, and someone or some people are using us for target practice. So I'm not sure how much better it'll be if we change servers. The other issue is that I'm not too familiar on how to run a dedicated server. So unless one of the staff members or someone we can trust knows how to do that, that'll also further delay us from getting a new server.
  19. Another server crash, and another restore. Unfortunately, it's a part of the 1Emulation Lifestyle™. Anyway, around 84 posts were lost, including any other data (private messages, blog posts, profile changes, etc.). I found that it was necessary for us to do the restore to prevent any problems in the future. It was about 16 hours of data lost, as the last backup was made early today. I promise that this should stop happening very soon as we have some big changes coming soon for 1Emulation that should also patch us up a lot better. We're sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused. If you have a specific post that you want to retrieve, please private message me, and there is a *good* chance I can help you out. Welcome back to 1Emulation!
  20. If you created a new account on 1Emulation in the last 3 days and noticed that you never received an activation e-mail, the reason was because our e-mail system on the server was down. Once our e-mail server was back online, it proceeded to send all the activation e-mails for you to validate your new account on 1Emulation. However, by accident, we deleted close to 90 new registrations that were not validated yet. All users who had their accounts deleted will have to re-register on our forums. We apologize as we should have waited a few days for everyone to activate their accounts. The following new/unvalidated accounts were deleted: To quickly see if your display name is on this list, press CTRL+F on your keyboard, and type in the display name you put while registering. Therefore, if you notice that your display name is on this list, you will have to re-register on our forums. Also, if you notice you received an activation/validation e-mail and you receive an error after you click to activate your account, you will also have to re-register. We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused. »» Register on 1Emulation!
  21. Great job guys! I'm really impressed. Keep it up.
  22. Hmm ... then where can people download the assembly files (don't paste the link if it's an illegal place)?
  23. I guess this can be found to download in #xbins?
  24. yikes ... I never knew about this. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. It looks like I'll have to do some research before I purchase an LCD/HDTV for my gaming consoles.
  25. Should I play the original Final Fantasy 7 before I play this version?
